6ah Beast
il y a 3 ans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first Dewalt driver came with 4ah batteries and I loved them. Now days the amp hours keep rising.. Great help when you can stay on the job without having to wait for the charger to catch up. These 6ah flexvolts are great especially when I can use them in my 20volt tools and then put them right into my 60 volt tools. It's also great that the flexvolts let you use your existing chargers. I have 12v, 20v and 60v flex and they all fit into the same charger. I really like the new 6amp charger. I think it's made to keep up with the higher ah batteries.I think the 6ah is great, I'll let the really strong guys lift the batteries with more ah..The cap that covers the contacts when the batteries aren't in use is also a great idea. Thanks Dewalt
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this FlexVolt 6AH battery with an Angle Grinder for number of recent projects.
WOW is the first reaction. great power.
This Flex Volt 6AH battery powered through all my related projects. I started with peering my angle grinder while cutting rebar for a fireplace project and it went through like butter without any power weakness or bogging down. I then went to a tiling project and this is where I noticed the smooth all the while lending a balance to the entire tool experience while cutting tile. Finally I used it on a masonry project I was doing and this tool never failed me. Again the balance... even with the Flex Volt 6AH battery on it. I was able to complete my projects with out feeling any need for a recharge. Very happy and satisfied.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own 2 flexvolt batteries now, and mainly use them with my Dewalt 7-1/4" advantage circular saw and my flexvolt table saw. While the circular saw works good with a 20v battery, it really flies when I use a flexvolt battery with it. The extra power the battery provides allows my to fly through 2x12's and 3/4" plywood with ease. My table saw requires the flexvolt 60v batteries. With a 6ah flexvolt, I can run trim and pine through it most of the day off one battery. On days where it get's heavy use, I use a 2nd flexvolt battery, and keep a fast charger on hand to keep them both charged and running.
I have also found my Dewalt flexvolt batteries to last a really long time. The first one I bought was several years ago and it still works like new today.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this battery to use with my smaller power tools, I really love the larger ah batteries in this line, but they can be a little heavy after awhile. This 6ah battery has enough power to run grinders, drivers, and trim my lawn in one afternoon. I spend an hour or so at each task. I would not recommend for larger flexvolt devices like the table saw or miter saw unless you only had a few cuts / small projects. I find the weight of this battery gives the smaller power tools a good balanced feel and doesn't fatigue me as quickly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The biggest down side of cordless tools is always their run time. The 6.0Ah battery is a beast that certainly changes that. Continuous run tools like my angle grinder and router can move through batteries in a short time period - but I've yet to fully discharge the 6.0 Ah!
Brushless tool + flexvolt battery are certainly a combination that yields corded tool levels of power with solid runtimes that are completely acceptable to not have the hassle of cords.
Most recently I plowed a 1/2" roundover through some hardwood ash (that also had a 1/4" lip) and was blown away by the power. I usually saved this job for my corded router but since it was occupied with a different set up I gave it a go. I'll certainly be looking to pick up this combo first the next time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The FLEXVOLT line just keeps getting better. I was grinding through sandstone using a diamond cutting blade for 6 hours using this battery - and it still had life left when I was finished with my job. I'm currently in the process of upgrading my corded Dewalt tools to FLEXVOLT powered tools for ease of use, because there really isn't a drop off in power. Its nice knowing that since I've committed to the 20v lineup of Dewalt tools years ago - that they're listening to feedback and continue to grow their arsenal of tools.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for a battery that will last you through your toughest projects, this is the one. This giant comes with enough juice to get you through anything. the 20V/60V capabilities make it very versatile for your power needs. A really cool feature is that it has a light up gauge to show the charge level. it comes with a cover for the battery as well, which I like. I was able to run a few smaller jobs with this without even making much of a dent in the charge, so this can last someone who doesn't do too much with their tools a while. It was also able to withstand a full day's workload on a home project, so can be great for a hobbyist or a tough day on the job site. If you have one or a few, or a lot of tools that run on 20V/60V max, you will want this battery for them.
Great Battery to use on 20v Flex Advantage systems
il y a 3 ans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I primarily used this battery on 20v Flex Advantage tools, and it works great. Gives it a bit more power and lasts for a good amount of time. 6amp/hr is perfect for most tools.
However, when used with another 6amp/hr Flexvolt on a Miter saw for the 120v systems. It does not last as long as you'd like. Definitely the bigger Flex Volt batteries are better for 120v Systems. But for all the 20v and some 60v systems, it lasts just in the right sweet spot where you don't have to switch out batteries too often.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the 20/60V max battery for a couple of weeks and it's served me well on several household projects. Running mainly with my 20V XR hammer drill, this battery keeps the drill torquey and hasn't run dead before quitting time. I've used the drill to drive heavy lag screws for running a masonry bit for securing a new stairway for my basement and doing all the drilling in 2x6 stringers for bolts. These jobs would eat up a normal battery, but the heavy 6 Ah rating means I had all the power I needed to complete those tasks. The battery is sizeable, but weight is manageable and not much more than a standard 5 Ah battery, and for the improvement in performance, is an easy trade-off. I don't have any 60V tools yet, but have big plans to add a 7-1/4" 60v MAX circular saw very soon!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] DCB606 (6.0 Ah Flexvolt Battery) came as part of my hammer drill / impact driver set and it's been a great battery thus far. Fully charges in just under one hour on my DCB118 (20V MAX / 20V/60V Flexvolt fan-cooled charger). Thus far it holds a charge and is working as expected. I will certainly update this review if this changes before the 3-year warranty mark.
If I wanted to be picky I would recommend DeWalt add some rubber accents to improve its impact resistance, but that's just my opinion.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this flexvolt battery to pair with a dewalt flexvolt drill/hammer drill. The power this battery has is serious. Whats nice is it is versatile and can be used in my other tools as well. The battery lasted the better part of the day and charges rather quickly. The button indicator allows me to see how much of a charge I have left. I also enjoy the protective clip that comes with the batteries to protect them from debris and damage. Overall great product, I would highly recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the new flex volt tools and esp batteries they last so much more time then the original.. my friends tease me telling me my box truck is a mobile dewalt showroom, but its full of dewalt becouse the quality of dewalt in my opinion and 30+years experience far surpasses all other name brands. Trust me ive tried all of them. Thank you dewalt for continuing to make my everyday work so much easier and less stressful by providing the best tools designed for the jobs i use them for..
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 6.0AH Flexvolt battery is a fantastic battery! The Flexvolt batteries are convenient because they are designed to work with the 120V, 60V and many 20V DeWalt tools. I have used it on a variety of tools, including the DCD999 20V hammer drill, a 20V recip saw, and a DCS577 60V saw. The battery life is amazingly staggering: All day use on a construction site in a worm style saw and it still had two bars left. Highly recommended for any tool that needs a long lasting battery.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A great, must have improvement for the 6ah flexvolt batteries to now have bigger battery cells. This mirrors the 9&12ah batteries now in the lineup while still charging in under a hour on the 4port rapid (~45mins). I always ran the 12's on every flex tool due to the increased runtime and power but the added weight has always been a issue for me, after using this pack I think I prefer this more than the rest due to such a difference in weight and equal power now.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up a 6AH FlexVolt with a new charger last week for an upcoming remodel. Charged the battery fully and slid it in the barrel grip jigsaw. Used the jigsaw for various tasks including trimming base and cutting LVT for a whole day to see if I would drain the battery out. The gauge at the end of the day still showed 3 bars. Typically you hear people say that corded is the way to go for all day work but with this battery there is no need for the cord.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this battery and was at first scared due to its size, but after working with it for a couple days, there is nothing to fear. This has power to spare and keeps on trucking no matter what tool you throw it on! I recently built out a grip truck for a movie I was jumping on and my DeWalt 20v tools and this battey lived up to the job at hand. It's a pricey piece of kit, but well worth it for the runtime if you can fit it in the budget.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this primarily with my Flexvolt Cordless Table Saw on job sites and it works flawlessly in that application. Life of charge seems reasonable but I haven't timed it. But what I like the most is the versatility of this thing, that I can also use it with my 20v tools. The interchangeability is a game changer. Only trade off is that it is slightly larger than I would prefer, but at least it fits on my existing chargers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this battery in multiple tools. In my DCD999B hammerdrill it will last the entire work day with on and off use. I have also used it in my dewalt 20v 12" chainsaw and it made no less than 60 cuts through 6 to 10 inch logs while cutting up half a tree that fell in my yard. In my 20v max string trimmer this battery completed trimming my entire 1 acre yard and 90 ft of ditchline and still had 2 bars remaining. So I put it on my 20v max blower and blew off the entire driveway, all the debris from trees off my 3 level deck and the kids trampoline and it still had one bar left. It took a bit over an hour to charge with the standard 20v max charger. I will purchase another and shoukdnt ever have to worry about running out of juice halfway through the job. I ran a comparison between my 20v max 5ah and this and it was equal to 3x runtime with the 20v 5ah.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 6 amp Flexvolt battery has a long run time for 20v tools and great power for the 60v tools. Running 20v drills and 60v saws this battery makes it easy to change from one to the other while other batteries are charging. This battery is light enough to carry around all day and most of the time one charge will last all day. Indicator lights on the body of the battery made it easy to how much charge I had left. would buy again.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is Dewalt's latest version of the DCB606 Flexvolt battery. To clarify, when paired with a 20v Max tool, this battery provides 6 amp hours of run time. When paired with a 60v Max tool, it provides 2 amp hours of runtime. I utilized this battery with the Dewalt DCD999 drill/driver. When utilized in this configuration, this battery provided a significant performance enhancement to the drill. I also utilized this battery with the 60v string trimmer (DCST970). I conducted approximately 15 to 20 minutes of string trimming on dry weeds contained on my property and I only drained one of three bars on the battery status indicator. This battery is a necessity if you own any Flexvolt tools, but I would also recommend this battery to those with 20v Max tools that need longer run times and performance boosts in those tools that have the Flexvolt Advantage technology.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this battery today for the first time and it is great. First, I used it in my 20V reciprocating saw making several cuts through 1" solid steel rod followed by three cuts through 1/2 steel plate 6" long with ease. Next I had to do some trimming with my Dewalt cordless trimmer in some tall grass for about 10 minutes. Yes, it did it all with ease and one charge! Great battery and l highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This battery allows for pure lasting power. It has allowed me to do more on one full charge than three of the 20V MAX. So far I have tried it on a blower, circular saw, and a grinder and absolutely loved it.
One thing I can do without is the weight and hence my 4-star review. I should add though that continuity when time is a factor, gives it the edge, regardless of a little extra exertion.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There isn't much to say about a battery. It charges. You plug it in. It delivers results.
Batteries are all ranked by voltage and amp hours. This 6ah (amp hour) battery is a huge upgrade from the smaller versions. It is a lot heavier though. I would recommend this battery for saws and other high horsepower tools. For drills, lights, etc I would recommend a smaller battery due to the weight.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] works out great for me gives me the run time i need a 10 hr work day and then some , i prefer to us in my saws, hammer drill .. for i don't have to run a cord which saves me time and some times power isnt available yet. i keep the small battery's in my drills .but the 60 volt doesn't tip the scales to bad its very comparable to the 20 volt . i like the light indicator that is great to have
I’ve had this battery a few months. Recently stopped charging, stuck at 2 bars. Contacted support, they gave me two numbers to call. One was disconnected and the other the man that answered said they do not repair or replace batteries. Called support back, they said that’s all they can do. They will not warranty this defective battery. It’s a lot of money to spend on a throwaway battery.

Solid battery
il y a 3 ans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been running Dewalt tools for years now and finally got my hands on the updated flexvolt 6ah battery. Tons of power for 20v tools great for the circular saw, grinder and 7 1/4 miter saw, and it will run the tools almost all day. If you are tired of tripping over power cords like I was, get some of these. They are also available in a 9ah and 12 ah for serious runtime.
I bought the pair and one of them is outstanding and the other seem to only be as good as the other half the time. Im going to see what happens with the weaker one and maybe it will come around with time. If it doesn't then I'll contact customer support and im sure they will make it right. Thats one thing that dewalt has over its competition is excellent customer support.

Flexibility
il y a 3 ans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this battery from DeWalt and really like the flexibility of being able to use already available chargers for it. Also the flexibility of tools it can be used with. I used it along with the flexvolt drill to repair my deck and never noticed it show any signs of slowing down. I will need to use it more to see about battery life but so far it seems to be going strong.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 6 of these now in my personal tools, along with another 6 on my job site the company owns. We primarily use them with a stud and joist drill for electrical rough-in on wood frame apartment builds. Pretty decent on those 60v drills. I really like that I can take my personal batteries from my joist drill after pre-drilling the unit I’m in, and swap it to my 20v hand drill to finish out holes I might have missed once I start pulling wire. The amount of drilling I can do with this battery between charges is great. Especially when not convenient to get to, and out of site. I hate leaving expensive tools in places I can’t keep an eye on them. With this size battery, I can drill out 2x 1200sq/ft apartments between charges. When I’m using it purely on my hand drill, I can go all week, and just charge it on the weekend at my house. Sure, I have to remember to charge it, but I also know it won’t grow legs at my house.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got the flex volt drill and this battery to pair with it. Dewalt has came a long way since the old 18v batteries which I still have and use today. This battery definitely is a step up from 20v and their 20v stuff is great. I love the fact that I can still use this battery on my 20v tools. Dewalt done great by doing that. Versatility is key when using tools.
