Great saw for my home shop
il y a 6 ans
I have had this saw about a year now and I love it. It has one downside, the miter is VERY loose in the slot, about one degree of slop. I learned to hold side pressure on the miter gauge to get straight cuts. I think DeWalt could have done better on the fit of the miter gauge, but that is the only flaw I can find with the unit. I cut a lot of thin small stock (1/8 thick by 5/8 inch rip) and it performs very well. It still has the power to cut plywood and 2X4's with no problem.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my old job site saw with the DeWalt DWE7491RS. Out of the box it was accurate and required little to no calibration. The saw stand sets up in seconds and the base is rock solid. The DWE7491RS cuts quickly, I've used it for plywood and simple cabinet work, when not on the job I have no problem using it in-house. For anyone wanting an accurate and reliable saw that doesn't lose calibration from job to job, I couldn't recommend anything better ten the DWE7491RS.
Bought this a day ago ,, Easy to put together ,, Sat down and read the manual first , Then looked at it as i was putting it together ,, Everything fit perfectly !! Checked all the bolts on frame ,, couple were a little loose ,, then set it upright , checked blade , for runout ,, It was PERFECT !!! EVERYTHING was right on ,, needed NO adjustments !! Changed the blade to a 60 tooth ,as I am doing some finish work ,, Plenty of power ,, Very Happy with this !!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After weeks of researching, I chose to buy this saw for a few reasons:
1) It is portable and very quick and easy to setup. I use the saw for personal home reno projects and woodworking. Working out of a one car garage, I needed a saw that I could quickly setup, make my cuts, and store away to create room for the next tool process or assembly.
2) It offers the largest rip capacity of any jobsite table saw.
3) It offered enough power to cut through hardwoods.
For my use, I made two upgrades to the table saw. I inserted a zero clearance insert and attached an DGC Products i-Socket near the power chord. The table saw plugs in to the i-Socket. When go to use the table saw, I plug in power and a shop vac to the i-Switch. This allows the shop vac to come on when I power on the saw and shutoff shortly after i turn it off.
Disappointed because i received my Christmas gift with missing hardware. I can not attach the kickstand, the wheels and its axle. I was only able to attach the handle, the saw to the stand, and i received the tools and hard ware for connecting the frame. still useable however not completely functional for what easy transport. I did make a few cuts and it seems to work just fine. just have to fine tune the dimensions with the miter angle and rip dimensions.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the saw for a little over a year. The portability of it has been great since my shop doubles as a garage! It's quick and easy to move, unfold, and set up, and just as easy to fold up and roll away. The base is very durable and stable, even on an uneven driveway. I replaced the factory blade with a higher tooth count for smoother cuts, and made my own zero-clearance insert. The saw is easy to use, which is great for a beginner like me!
Only had it a short time, but just works so well for a portable. My previous saw was 30 years old, but was a cast iron shop saw. The table top does not compare to the old saw, but is more than adequate, and everything else is as good or better. The stand is rock solid.Layout of the switches, knobs, controls, and storage is excellent. And the fact it can just fold up and be put in the corner on a saw of this quality is almost unbelievable.

Outstanding saw!
il y a 4 ans
Well packaged product. Easy assembly. Fit and finish of all parts were excellent, no bending needed or fussing with bolt holes, it was extremely well designed and executed. Storage of all extras was intuitive and secure. Accuracy was dead on out of the box, I didn’t have to adjust a thing and it was ALL checked. Overall a solid, sturdy piece of equipment that I expect to last for a LONG time. Thanks Dewalt for another great product.
I had the 10" table saw with 16" rip capacity and loved it but, when it got stolen i opted for this one as a replacement and well, WOW what a great saw. Very accurate rite out of the box. The only thing i had to adjust was the arrow on the measurement scale. Everything was square and cuts true. I have been ripping 3/4" CDX plywood by myself with no problem (although heavy for one person). The stand is great also. Very easy to use.
I love this saw everything about it is perfect. It cuts straight, the fence is accurate and super easy to use and set up. It took about 2 hours to assemble the stand and set up the saw and I took breaks to deal with other things.
I'm really impressed with all the storage areas for the parts and the two dust ports that are available. And one of the major reasons I bought this saw was it can accept dado blades.Well worth the money.
This is my 3rd table saw in 45 years of carpentry projects. So far, working great and overall quality above average. However, the process of mounting the saw to the rolling stand is grossly deficient...repeat, grossly deficient. No, I did not turn the units upside down per
manual. A straightforward solution would be some simple mating brackets on the stand. Still scratching my head over this overlooked /ignored lousy design.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a year ago, and have used it a ton. It is fantastic! So easy to adjust blade height whether you’re cutting trim, 2 x 4’s or whatever you need. Also, with the spin knob to adjust the stop for rip length makes it quick and reliable to get the right cut. Plus the stand is very easy to set up with pull levers and lock in tabs, very sturdy. Finally the wheels make it convenient and simple to move wherever you need.
Received this saw as a Father's Day gift a couple years ago. It's been a staple in my shop. I've found it a handy saw for reno work on the house. It's done everything I need with great accuracy for finish work. Forgiving for long rips when getting new lumber to match the old, odd sized lumber used to build the house. I'm moving to cabinet work now. It's not quite big enough for full panel (8') cuts. Had to make a couple sliding jigs on some work horses. Can't afford or have space for a full sized shop saw with panel rig! Still accurate though. Cuts softwood and hardwood well. Blade changes are straight forward.
Down side is the mitre guide. I've built a jig for 45* cuts. Need to buy an aftermarket mitre guide now. I appreciate all the add-ons with on tool storage. Overall, it is accurate, handy, stores small, portable but stable enough for all cuts.
I like the saw, it easily portable and compact for storage. Cut 2" oak without a problem. They could add some features though that would really bring it over the top. Add a couple inches to the length of the stand bar by the wheels and bring it to the height of the table. With nylon strips this would be a great side feed. I would also like to see an attachment that folds onto the stand for an out feed table.
I'm a hobbyist and use this saw two to three times per month. I've used it for about two years now. The accuracy and ease of use on the fence system was what attracted me to this brand and model. I'm not in construction, more like DIY hobby stuff.
The one thing I would change about the saw is making the table bigger. It feels like there is never enough space between the edge of the table and the blade.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This table saw is an upgrade from an old Craftsman model and what a difference. The rack and pinon fence adjustment is great. Once I set the zero scale, I don't have to worry about rechecking the fence to get an accurate cut. The adjustment knob does lightly pinch my fingers when the fence moves over that location as I adjust it, but I guess that is part of a compact tool. Easy blade changes, convenient tool and accessory storage, and the built in dust collection make this a great little saw. I have a small DIY shop in my garage so this fits the location. The large STOP lever improves the safety as I can turn it off without moving my hands from my workpiece. The price is about comparable to other jobsite saws, but the features and ease of use made this a no-brainer to select over the competition. This saw is a great addition to my shop and makes my woodworking easier.
Likely the best made portable saw in the business.

Whoever thought this out covered everything. The accessory storage is amazing. The stand is built far better than the competition. But what amazed me most is most companies throw stuff together and box it up. DeWalt takes the time to assemble these saws right, everything is square right out of the box, I only readjusted the fence measure indicator. I will be using this saw 20 years from now. Thank you!
I have always used dewalt table saws. They are always dependable and we'll thought out. My only complaint is they don't put those thoughts in the manual. The manual doesn't describe were all the storage compartments for the attachments. Instead I'm stuck trying to find a video on Google. I highly recommend the saw and highly recommend DeWalt read their manuals and make better sense of them.
Great saw for DIY, but blade elevation doesn't loc
il y a 4 ans
I bought this a few months ago and really like it. But it has a significant flaw that Dewalt should address. When using 8" Dewalt dado blades to make half lap cuts, the blade elevation migrates downward on its own, making later cuts shallower than the original setting. This is unacceptable. There is not mechanism for locking the blade elevation as far as I can tell but there needs to be one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a cabinet guy. This is my 3rd Dewalt table saw. Always liked the other ones. The fence is outstanding. It cuts nice, it's really not too heavy even with the stand. Stand is very stable. Top notch saw. 32" cutting capabilities is ridiculous, but others may need it, I've used it to say I have. My old saws had blade storage a little bummed this one didn't, but so its goes.
Bought this to build a deck for a friend and to have a backup for my shop saw and glad I did. Easy to put together and move around. The only thing I had to adjust was to move the rip scale 1/6 inch and the rest was perfect. Ripped through 1 1/2 pressure treated lumber with ease and exact cuts. Enjoyed how the fence works. Also convenient storage of all accessories. Nice job DeWalt.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would have given 5 stars except there is a major design flaw. After just 2 years the saw gave out. The blade stopped going up or down, because the lift screw stripped the threads out of the motor housing. And this happened because the lift screw is carbon steel, while the motor housing is a casting. It's really a shame because this saw is really easy to use, especially the fence.
Hello Kenny B, I appreciate your feedback on the DWE7491RS and I'm sorry to hear the blade stopped going up and down. Your satisfaction is our top priority. We will be reaching out to you via email at the address you have provided to assist you further.
Thank you, Roxy

I love this table saw
il y a 4 ans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this saw for about a month and it's awesome! Out of the box setup was very easy: Assemble cart, mount saw, set zero bevel, set fence width gauge and you're ready to go. This is my first time using a fence of this design and I love it. Adjustments are smooth and easy. Fence was perfectly square out of the box. There are also storage mounts for all of the accessories under the saw (miter gauge, blade guard and kick back teeth). Cross cuts and rip cuts are butter smooth even with the standard included blade. Motor isn't soft start which might be an issue if using on a shared 15a circuit. As good as the saw is, the stand is even better. It's stable while using the saw yet folds away easily. Dust port works great at directing all the dust even without powered dust collection. My only complaint is Dewalt doesn't seem to make a dust bag accessory for this saw. I ordered the Bosch table saw dust bag.
I have this saw over a year now and it has not let me down. I am very limited on space so I have to move it and set up to do my work, which is very easy to do. The fence is very accurate and accessory storage is designed well. My only advice is to get a new blade, use a bevel box digital angle indicator, and set up outfield support if needed. Love this tool. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spent 2 months researching before making the purchase and even with all my research this saw exceeded my expectations. Amazing accuracy, the rack and pinion fence is spot on every time. Changing the writhing knife with the pull of a lever is amazing. All with great dust collection.
My only con is that you cannot buy it without the rolling stand since I didn’t need it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this table saw about a year ago. Continue to be impressed. Once you get the fence dialed init is spot on. I don't even measure anymore, just set the fence, lock it on and go. Moved to a new cut size and need to go back? No problem. Set the fence, cut, and compare and it's a match every time. My only complaint is I wish I had the blade dust collection attachment!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 35+ year old Craftsman table saw this past year with this DeWalt rolling stand saw. The settings and adjustments are so simple to use and provide the accuracy every woodworker needs. And when I need extra room in my shop, the rolling stand feature makes quick work of moving the saw off to the side. I couldn't be happier with my new DeWalt table saw.
Bought the saw initially for finish work, ripping and cross cut casement, baseboards and threshold projects. The saw and stand were easy to set up out of the box. The saw performed very well. Factory settings were quite good. The high and low fences work very well. Portability is excellent. The miter gauge worked fine, but if a little larger would be better.
I received this as a birthday gift from my Dad. I am getting into woodworking and have limited space. To be able to fold it up and store it is a big deal for me. When it's set up its stable and easy to use. All the accessories are stored on the saw and stay in place with out coming loose or falling off. While not a cabinet saw, it meets my needs perfectly.
