Adaptateur de batterie, 18 V à 20 V

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 18v tools are still going strong, but the batteries are losing their endurance. For the price of two new 18v batteries, it just makes more sense to level up to 20v power. Then, once the tools are finally replaced, you have backup power.

I like the fact that I can use the newer batteries but the adapter is very difficult to remove from the tool. This adapter needs to be reworked to allow for easy removal from the tool. Otherwise I like it and it is a great accessory.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my father. He has a full line of older tools and he has gotten the value out of them 5 times over. But the batteries needed a Viking funeral years ago. This adapter works great and we are now running some new Lithuims.

purchased an adaptor about a year ago for my 18 volt set of tools, had a battery in and when I tried using the battery was DEAD. on 8/3 19 purchased another battery with adaptor after leaving a battery in the tool it started to die

Adapter is perfect and allows me to use all my 18 volt tools without buying more 18 volt batteries, that last only 6 months. It is hard to remove from the tools at first but gets easier once it's used. Good invention Dewalt.

Bought 2 of these over a year ago and they have worked fine. They are extremely difficult to remove once you put in the 18 volt tool. The frustrating thing is I bought 2 6ah batteries and they won’t fit in the adapter.

Seems to be exactly Like the one I hadBefore this that cost half the priceJust hoping this one lasts longer. just got it so we'll see. this one is hard to take off and on just like cheaper ones. hope this helps.

I have had this adapter for 8 months now. the batteries die even when not in use and when using they drain very fast. i also have the DC9182 and have had nothing but success with it.....Stick with the DC9182!

I cut the 2 little tabs off each side if the tool adapter and all batteries work with it. Best tool yet saved all my old tools that use 18v and yes all flex volt batteries work after cutting the tabs off.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is difficult to remove the battery from the adapter. DO NOT LEAVE BATTERY IN THE ADAPTER AS IT WILL DRAIN YOUR NEW 20V BATTERY OVERNIGHT. You would be better off just replacing your 18v batteries.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my 18 v charger died and i needed to finish a project, i was able to use this on my tools to finish job without loss time. you have to press the two latches very firmly to release but it works great

I have a large variety of 18v tools, batteries, and charger. Nowhere can I find if a new 20v tool will use my 18v batteries. Looks like any new tools will be a different brand.

All my tools need replaced now. No thank you. 18 volt NiCad not compatible with 20 volt stuff. All my tools are 18 volt NiCad. Can no longer buy new tools 18 volt NiCad.

They work well, converting my 18 volt tools to the newer 20 volt l-ion batteries. They were cheaper then I had found in local big box stores, even with shipping.

This thing is not compatible with hardly any of the 18v tools I need it for. What a waste of money. Thanks Dewalt for another paperweight.

Have a few 18 volt tools and all there batteries are shot but the tools still work great plug in the converter and away you go

Received yesterday and used it but required two people to remove from my drill. Poorly designed, will not use again.

Why doesn't DeWalt answer all the complaints that the 20v 6ah battery wont fit the 18v converter?

Worked great til I used my circular saw, started smoking and that was the end of it!

I would like to understand why you DO NOT note that when not in use you MUST remove

This fits on all of my old 18V XRP tools just fine. I have the hammer drill, impact driver, circular saw, grinder, reciprocating saw, 1/2" impact, and flex light and it works great in all of them. My 90 degree drill won't accept the adapter but I do not think it was ever in an XRP offering and is my only Dewalt cordless tool that is not XRP. The adapter is a little difficult to remove in some tools and is almost impossible to remove if you leave the battery in so it is best to remove the battery first. I just started replacing all of my XRP tools so I only plan on using this while I do that over the next year or so. I am using the DCB205 batteries and the run time seems like about 4 of my old batteries combined, maybe more. It looks odd on the tools and sits at an odd angle but works well so far. None of the larger batteries (6.0ah plus) fit the adapter but the run time is long enough with the DCB205 where having a spare battery would run a tool for a full work day anyway. I noticed a significant improvement in power even over my newer XRP batteries in all of my tools and have not seen any drawbacks besides making the tool overall length longer which makes fitting in tight areas a bit more difficult.

I bought this so I could use all my 18 volts tools and very happy I did.
