[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the best snips I’ve ever used. I’ve worked in vast areas of construction ranging from personal jobs to multimillion commercial projects. They’ve proven to be lasting and still remain sharp. Having done a lot of sheet metal work, I had doubts that they would be able to last. After using them , I emptied the 3 pairs in my bags and replaced them with one that does it all.

Great Set of Snips

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work for a large restaurant chain and have to make a lot of unique repairs or contraptions designed to prevent folks from using equipment improperly. These have worked great for cutting sheet metal into irregular shapes as well as for the occasional piece of cable. They require much less force than my previous pair. Crescent makes great tools and this one is no exception!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything I would expect from a pair of snips. They cut well as expected. The locking mechanism is smooth and does not pop open nor does it get stuck. The only thing that I feel could be better is the handle not opening up as much. Maybe it is just me and my smaller hands but most snips that I have used open too wide and are hard to hold unless I choke up on them.

Great pair of snips!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a pair of snips to complete a repair on an old aluminum canoe. These definitely fit the bill. I made several cuts through heavy aluminum sheet metal, and was very pleased with how easily the crescent snips cut through it. The handles were comfortable, and had a quality feel. I will definitely look for more crescent products in the future.

Excellent control for cutting sheet stock

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are sharp and give a clean cut. The part on the handle for your pointer finger helps keep them in your hand and increases the amount of control that you have while cutting. Make sure to have a left and right cutting pair to be prepared for all projects. These are rated for 18 gauge steel but also cut aluminum and plastic well for me.

Comfortable to grip

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this a few weeks ago and find it easy to use and comfortable to grip. Straight cuts are straight, cutting large circles was easy. I put it to work the day I received it using it all day without fatigue. Was very useful in the installation of a hot air furnace using old parts and pieces.P.S. I am a retired Millwright by trade.

Great feel, sharp,and sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the finger holder, it feels nice and does a great job keeping your hand where it needs to be.
The unit is sharp, durable, and I'm confident will last a long time.
The only thing I would like to see is a slightly more textured handgrip. It's certainly not a deal breaker but a little more texture would me nice.

Blew away expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picked up a set of these to replace an older set that was worn out. The spring action is strong, and doesn’t wear your hand out as you’re cutting. Was used for about a month, almost daily use, before submitting a review. Quality is great, and the tool holds up through contractor abuse, not just a once in a while tool.

Cut roof metal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed to cut some roof metal to use as a little roof over my generator exhaust, so the rain and snow didn’t get into it. It cut through the metal like it was butter. Very impressed with them. I have used other brands to do the same type of work and a lot of them would bind up. It felt like they were cutting fabric

The grips are also move fitting and comfortable in the hand than competitors I’ve used in the past. They are super sharp and cut very clean. One thing I’m curious to see is how long the lock lasts I know most snips are prone to them breaking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this tool just as I was building a topper from my truck. They cut through the 18ga material with ease. I sometime use a power shear for this. I had these and put to the test. Nice and easy on the hand didn't slip at all. Plenty of leverage and smooth action sharp cutting edge make's it nice.

M1R ease of use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The M1R fits well in my hands with its ergonomic handle. I found it easy to use and handle with one handed operation. The snips are sharp and straight which results in a nice straight cut. The force needed to operate the snips was minimum and all ranges of strength could use this product.

The are great snips!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used these daily for a few weeks now. They don’t bend and twist like many I have used. No nicks in the blades. These snips are really well assembled. The only issue I have is that the safety latch is hard to use one handed. The handles are thick and comfortable to use wearing gloves.

These work beautifully and are very comfortable to grip. I use them to trim roof flashing in building houses for Habitat For Humanity. Habitat is having a break right now, so I can't provide photos yet.

Solid quality tool

They don’t roll or bend the material while cutting like others I have used. The spring mechanism works well and they fit well in my hand. Definitely worth having.

The new latch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new latch is so much easier to use one handed. The grips are not as rubbery as before but not slippery. Nice tight cut. Easy to use. I would recommend even if you just have an older pair get a new one. You forget how easy a new set of snips cut until you use one.

Easy and comfortable cutting!

I would give it 5 stars but it seems to pinch the metal at the cut compared to my other aviator snips but they cut more swiftly if that makes sense. Overall very solid tool that can be used for different style cutting.

They don't take too much room up in the tool box. Also the handles are bright yellow so they are easy to locate if you misplace them.

They seem durable while cutting thicker metal unlike some I've used that would seem to bend in my hand. The large latch works well for my large hands and they cut really well even on a narrow piece.

I also enjoy the ergonomic feel and easy lock/unlock leaver. These aviators are extremely sturdy I doubt I will ever need to purchase another pair

Cleanest cutting snips I’ve ever owned!
