I've been using this product for years. I use it to detail engine compartments. I start by placing plastic over sensitive electrical components like the fuse box, pcm, alternator, and battery if it's located under the hood. Next I lightly spray water over the compartment then spray with degreaser or multi purpose cleaner. Grab a medium stiff bristle brush and clean areas that are soiled. Rinse compartment while being careful around where you placed your plastic. Use compressed air to remove water that may have pooled around spark plugs or air cleaner box. Remove plastic and use compressed air to remove any water that may have came in contact with your electrical components. Its okay if overspray came in contact but not okay if completely submerged. Close hood and start your vehicle. Let the engine compartment warm up. Now open your hood and spray the tire shine on any plastic and rubber. That is visible. Don't spray on battery, serpentine belt or pulleys. Now close the hood. Turn the vehicle back on for another 5 minutes. Open the hood and be amazed by the results this product can achieve. Rubber has a nice gloss while any plastic has a very attractive satin gloss. These results typically last 2-3 months during the summer months.
