Waxy - dark and sticky - coating after first use.
The first use of this pan after spraying with grill PAM developed a very dark waxy covering that could not be removed in the dishwasher or use of oven cleaner. Had to use a drill with wire brush to remove the waxy residue to get back to the stainless steel finish. Either the Grill PAM reacted to the pan or the manufacturing left a coating on the pan. Both the top and bottom developed the coating. Recommend you see for yourself by putting on a gas grill and heating with and without PAM for Grilling to see the change in the pan appearance. It is not the "PATENIA" as many answers mention. Too many other reviews mention the same issue.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Beware: This is a single use product
Just used this product for the first time. I used grill PAM and then grilled green beans with a little olive oil, salt, and herbs. Then some bell peppers, just plain. When it cooled off, I had to spend an hour cleaning this pan, using scouring powder and steel wool. It's much cheaper to put down a couple of layers of aluminum foil and then throw it out afterwards. I expected better of a high-end brand like Weber. Selling useless accessories might be good for the bottom line, but it's not especially good for instilling confidence in customers.

Useful & Versatile Grilling Pan
Bought this because I got tired of my asparagus falling through the grill, & it works great! You still get the charred spots (depending on how long you cook items, of course). Works on ANY vegetable, but my favorite is those small gold potatoes. Cut in half, toss w/olive oil & any spices you like, lay in single layer on grill pan. Turn once. Better than roasted in oven! The pan does turn dark w/use, but I soak in soapy water then scrub & haven’t noticed any problem. It’s just darkened from being on the hot grill repeatedly.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Product but..............
I have just bought my 3rd Deluxe Grilling pan. Although the other 2 are in good shape their appearance is horrible. The pan turns dark after grilling a few times. Weber says put it in a dishwasher...doesn't work well. Cannot get it back to the original stainless look no matter what I do. I am embarrased to use the darker one in front of guests. It looks very dirty and un-appetizing to cook on so I bought a 3rd one. Can't keep buying new ones. It is a great product but VERY hard to clean!!!

Too long to fit Spirit grills
I have had two of these grill pans, and they have fabulous features for the grill surface, and they are reasonably easy to clean. However, because of the humongous handles on the ends, they will not fit back to front on your spirit grill. When you place the pan sideways, it takes up most of your grill space. I have trimmed the handles off on two of them (approximately 3/8 of an inch off of each end) to make them fit properly. Easy material to cut!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Impossible to clean
I bought this for our summer grilling on a Weber gas grill. I purchased it mainly because of name "Weber" and the strong stainless steel product. However, it is impossible to clean after just one use. I used SOS pads, oven cleaner four times, straight Charlies's Soap (which cleans anything), scrub pads, Tub of Towels, Magic eraser, Bar Keepers Friend, a steam cleaner and lots of scrubbing. I don't want to see the pan again.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A grilling essential
If you are tired of seeing asparagus spears or other vegetables disappear between the bars of the grate, get this grill pan. You can also get good color on thin chicken breast filets and still have them juicy, not tough, using this grill pan. I use it for grill smoked salmon filets, and they are a never-fail hit with guests. This is a replacement for one I bought in the 20th century!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great pan, but not easy to clean
Other baskets I have had tend to warp from the extreme heat. This one is heavy duty and so far stands up well. Conducts heat quite well. The only downside is it does not clean up well. I even tried oven cleaner on it, which remove much, but not all the blackened areas. Directions said just clean off food stuck on it snd throw in the dishwasher. Not very effective.
