Completely useless

I bought this product almost a month ago, I dethatched my lawn where the grass was thin, then applied top soil and then mixed in this product. After a couple of weeks of routine watering, almost daily, there was no sign of growth. I applied additional seed and have continued to water my lawn with no signs of any seeds germinating after almost a month. The weather has been optimal and still no signs of growth from this product. I am wondering if the product contains live seeds. Since I will have to buy an alternate product, I would like to take advantage of the "No-quibble guarantee"

It will take about a month for all the seed to germinate. This Grass Seed will germinate best when temperatures are consistently in the 15.6 to 26.6° Celsius range. Cool nighttime temperatures and fluctuating temperatures will slow germination. Cold weather will delay germination but will not hurt the seed. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed germination. If a weed control is used before seeding, it will either prevent the seeds from germination outright or destroy the seedlings as they emerge. We want you to be confident in our products. Avoid this product at all costs

I usually avoid writing these reviews, but I'm so disappointed with this product. Maybe I got a bad batch, but I used this last Fall to overseed and fix a few bad patches where some dogs peed. It's Spring now, and what's grown from it is not grass... it's like some really thick weed, almost like crab grass. If you look at the photos, you can see it's not quite the grass you're expecting, so be very careful. I had to dig out all of these shoots, and repatch this area where I used this stuff. I won't be buying this again; I'll stick to the grass seeds and make my own mix.

I think its a good product

Well I was hesitant to buy this product based on all the negative reviews. I had to do something and didn't want to rip it up so I went for it. I believe the product performed well, I had an approximately 10x16 spot so I spread the whole bag and hoped for the best. I watered it every day and we are late bloomers up here in northern Alberta so I knew it would take a bit of time. It filled in very well and 1 month later its ready for its first cut. The area doesn't get a lot of sun due the house next to me so I knew it would take a bit longer to grow.

Exceeded Expectations

Bought 2 months ago and was desperate to fix my patchy, thin, brown lawn. Thought it was a long shot but wow what a surprise. I used it with Scotts Turf builder and I have the most beautiful lawn on the street. I live in an area that prides itself on landscaping so this is a huge achievement. My lawn is dark green, thick and lush. It took a while and it meant a lot of dedication but I was rewarded with the type of lawn I could only dream of.

very poor results

a year ago

second time I have bought your 911 product. worked well last time so bought it again.... no such result this time... removed moss, de=thatched, airiated and top dressed prior to applying the product.... rolled the product in with a light roller. that was 3 weeks ago and very little growth at this point... after a week seeded again with your turn builder product... again no results... have you changed your formula????

This grass seed will germinate at its best when temperatures are consistently between 15.6℃ & 26.6℃ (60℉-80℉). Cool nighttime temperatures and fluctuating temperatures will slow germination but will not hurt the seed. Both excessive moisture and not enough moisture can inhibit seed growth. Do not use a weed preventer prior to seeding or a weed control that is registered for lawn use until the new grass has been cut at least 4 times. While some germination may be seen in 7 days under ideal growing conditions, it will take about a month for the seed to fully germinate. We want you to be confident in our products. Not the best

Bought this Just over three weeks ago and applied when we had two weeks of temperatures that matched directions on the bag. Didn’t underwater or overwater and you can still see the seeds in the patches that need repaired. Not sure why it hasn’t sprouted yet. There are a few seedlings that have started but bag said 7 days and it’s been almost 4 weeks and our patchy spots are still barren. Wasted our money on this bag.

Still waiting for an improvement

I have purchased two 18.5 bags and have spread across the front and back. My lawn is full of creepy charles and other weeds. The grass is being choked out. To date, I've seen very little improvement. First bag when on around spring, second bag was applied two weeks ago with few days of rain and my efforts of watering. Taking longer than I thought it would based of your posted reviews.

Product worked well with plenty of watering

I used this on my nutrient-depleted dirt where no other grass would grow and sure enough I finally managed to fill in some of the area with green grass. I also applied it in an area of significant weeds and it seems to have competed successfully with the weeds. I watered it daily in early morning until I saw satisfactory results.
