GRUB BGON MAX White Worm Destroyer - 1.4 kg

I bought 2 - 3kg bags of this for my yard and applied it and watered it, according to instructions, in July 2023. Up until this year I was using nematodes to control the chafer beetle grubs that are a problem in my location. The city recommended this product so I thought I would try it. Unfortunately I now have, for the first time ever, a serious problem with racoons digging up my lawns. For the past 4 months since mid-September, I have been following behind my neighbourhood racoons, replacing sod and re-seeding. I don't recommend this product and will be going back to nematodes.

Two years ago, we had grubs absolutely destroy our front and backyards even after a professional spray was applied by a lawn company. We had to sod both yards which was incredibly time consuming and expensive. Since then, we’ve been using Grub-B-Gon and have had perfect results every time! We follow all directions and the schedule posted on this product page and apply 3 times a year. We are very careful not to apply more than the recommended dose and make sure our lawn receives adequate water throughout the season. Grubs run rampant in our neighbourhood and someone on our street loses a lawn every year. Last year, our direct neighbour lost his entire backyard and ours was perfectly fine! We are so thankful for this product!

Applied 2 applications of grub be gone this year. One in mid June and the other in early September. I think that I’m feeding the grubs. My neighbour doesn’t do anything to his lawn and it looks like a normal lawn. I really like the Scott’s fertilizer though. Nice green healthy grass until the skunks get at it. I applied grub be gone once last year in September 2022. Been using your fertilizer for 3 years running, 3 applications per year. Wondering if fertilizer might be feeding the grubs?? Purchased everything at neighborhood Home Depot. Any ideas??

I’m usually a huge fan of Scott’s products. This one has been challenging to say the least. First, multiple visits to multiple Canadian Tire stores only to find stale dated product as it has a 17 month shelf life - first store had 6 bags, newest was June 2021. Second store had 8+ bags April 2021 or older, then a bunch without a clear date code. Since the staff member said they had just got some per their system, I am gambling on a dust free bag with a 020356/BG/3G code. Even Google doesn’t know how to translate that. Next - the bag doesn’t have an application setting for my Scott’s Drop spreader. Again, Google and Scott’s website have been unable to translate. Going to guess at using the ratio and some math by looking at a Scott’s fertilizer bag I have.

You your retailers (partners ) for the most part sell product produced over 17 months in my area . who is responsible to rotate product in retail partners businesses. It states on packaging recommendation : product should be applied within 17 month of manufacture I believe ?l .I’ve been to multiple stores and product on shelf is over 17 months . This product does not work on my lawn . Could only find product on shelf with production over17 months Skunks are having a field day tearing up my lawn .

On the advice of my landscaper, I purchased several bags and covered most of the lawn, leaving a section for comparison. Of the areas covered since summer, the raccoons and crows have not been tearing the lawn apart this year, and as an added bonus, it has reduced mole activity to just the area which wasn't treated. As the product took care of the grubs, the moles moved on as their food source was removed. I wish I could obtain larger containers of the product due to the size of the lawn.

Old products and if you can find a recent bag, it still doesn’t work. This was the third year of using this and hoping it would work, but the grubs are as bad as ever. Three applications a year for three years and my lawn is gone. Dead grass and what did grow is now easily rolled up to expose hundreds of grubs. Wasted money and wasted time. I do not recommend Grub B Gon at all. I do like Scotts other lawn products, but now not having any lawn left - I wont be buying those either.

I purchased this product last spring 2023 , applied it like mentioned in Scott’s website.. This year, I have holes on my lawn, done by skunks and other animals digging for the worms in my lawn..and it’s the second product that doesn’t do what it promised.. I purchased grass seeds and again applied it like mentioned in the website.. Another product that didn’t work and since I didn’t have my receipt for the purchase of grub I can’t get it refunded..
