This is a great utility knife! Olfa is Quality!

Utility knives are just that: I use my Olfa 18MM with Auto-Lock slide all the time. I especially like it on cutting fiberglass strapping and shipping tape. The design is fantastic and I really like the weight. My Olfa doesn't fly out of my hands: it stays put!

I never realized the benefit of owning a quality utility knife. The Olfa is well built and feels comfortable in the hand. The action is smooth and keeps the blade locked in place. I wouldn't mind a belt clip option, but it's great the way it is. Thank Olfa!

Works very well for daily use. You need to get back up blades so you never run out. At first I did not do that and the waiting was a pain. Because you get adjusted to the lighter weight and to go to a back to a standard utility knife it throwes you all off

Great, versatile tool

Great tool. Can be used for things such as simply cutting open boxes, to cutting screens and drywall. The added end tool comes in handy for prying things open such as paint cans etc. Blade is well designed and thought out, not to mention extremely sharp.

This blade is great for me at work. I'm a refrigeration technician and I use the blade for multiple areas like wiring stripping wires and removing old electrical wiring also ine the pry end as a screw driver helps tons overall it's an amazing blade....

I have used this product several times and I have enjoyed using it. It is very lightweight and is a very comfortable size. Not to big and not to small. I plan on using more of their products in the future. I highly recommend this product to anyone.

Not a bad knife, have used it for many projects around the house/shop, bought it because I could not find a roll lock, and needed the utility tool at the end, but be careful using this with lots of pressure it will slip and potentially cause harm.

Not your average breakaway blade knife

This isn't your average flimsy breakaway style knife, this knife is durable and feels great in the hand. Comfortable rubberized grip. Easy blade change out for when the time comes to refill. The blade itself is very sharp and does not dull easily.

This knife is super sharp and comfortable. Pictures don’t do justice on how strong and thick the blades are. Love the knife I’ve picked up a few of them. This company also has great customer relations that’s another reason why I support them.

I'm a general contractor and I've had this knife in my pocket every day for over 2 years. The pick on the end is good for prying open paint cans and removing outlet cover plates. It's a solid little knife and I would highly recommend it.

i used this knife for cutting vinyl flooring, cutting drywall and cutting around plate covers and removing them.it comes in handy when you need a flat blade screwdriver.and the blades stay sharp for a good amount of time and are strong

I use this every day, as a firefighter/ medic it a handy knife the retracts quick. Locks in the place you leave it. At my part time job I work in a dusty environment I cut lots of box's and poly bags this knife has not failed me yet.

Best Snap Blade ever

I mainly use it to recycle cardboard boxes so they fit in the curbside pickup container. It's also great for opening boxes and heavy duty plastic containers. Blade seems to stay sharper longer than the standard hardware store blade.

Been using this specific model for years. It's perfect. The locking mechanism is just enough. Blade comes out quick. The other utility end works for prying, screwing, scraping and so on. If you got one to acquire, that's the one.

I use this knife a general utility knife in residential construction. the metal pick is a wise addition I have broke blades in the past using a knilfe for something they are not. The LA-X is the perfect size for my large paws.

I had this knife over a year and it was my first choice in a lot of the cutting I had to do. I recently lost it and got the L5 by mistake and I’m beyond frustrated that I don’t have the sliding lock. 10/10 would buy again

I use the LA-X every day as a carpenter. I've dropped the knife off of roofs, staging etc. The knife has never broke or even got a scratch on it. The blade is very easy to snap to get a new fresh sharp blade in seconds.

Very sharp and long lasting blade. Used it daily against cardboard and still on the first blade segment. Takes up less space and is lighter than my Milwaukee fastback. The paint can lifter is also a very handy feature.

I like a tool that has a neat extra (as the little blade at the back of the handle) that transform your simple single function tool into a simple multi-function tool. Handle is comfy and it feels great to have in hand.

I'm a plumber by trade and use the olfa for everything from removing caulk to opening boxes and has a nice grip to it and doesn't feel like it's going to slide off your hands. Hands down best Utility knife I've owned

Great retractable sliding mechanism

I frequently used Olfa L and the upgrade retractable action is worth it. I'm not necessarily fond of the new grip since it attract tissue dirt in pants pockets. Now if model L can have the same sliding mechanism :)

The knife works very well. It cuts easy, great for drywall. Works great on commercial ceiling tile too. This is a great tool and so glad I have it. The added bonus of the other end is great for small fixes as well.

I used this product to install cheap carpet in a house. One blade lasted 4 rooms. I took a part off the blade when er it wouldn't cut through anymore. It finally snapped off when there were three sections left.

We use this type in our shop operations. Working with conveyor belt and various rubber products. Good knife though care must be used to not extend blade too far as they can break while cutting thick materials.

I have been using this knife daily for over a week now and I am very impressed with how sharp and durable the tool is. This doesn't feel like a traditional snap knife, its more like a utility / carpet knife.

I keep this knife in my go to toolbox. I use it for everything from trimming drywall to scraping paint. It’s quick easy and stable. I like that I don’t have to lock it and it stays in position easily
