GIVE ME THE OLFA KNIFE

I'm always using retractable knives at home and work, of various quality, and nothing beats olfa knives. Most reliable, sharpest, longest lasting blades. Worth making the investment on something other than a cheap, disposable knife. The ratcheting dial is easy to use, and I've never had an issue with the blade moving when I didnt want it to. Get the black blades as well.

Surprised in the difference!

I was surprised on how the improvements made it so that instead of just being a utility for me to use, it is now a necessity for me to have on my person at all times. It has replaced my pocket knife (that was SUBSTANTIALLY more expensive). In case there is any doubt, I am extremely impressed by this knife!

Couldn’t do my job without it

I’ve bought many. Nature of my work results in their destruction, but constant use and heavy abuse... no other snap off knife stands a chance. Most used item in my pouch by a mile. Currently have four in different states of abuse and one unopened. Will probably own 1000 more in my life; but only this one.

We love using these knives in our high school workshop. They are so easy to use and you always have a sharp blade ready to go. the students love using them. And they are school safe, permitting that the teacher teaches them how to safely use them. Thanks OLFA for making our shop better with the OLFA L-5’s

And then I bought this one, the hook on the end is ridiculously handy to have. I use it every day for something. I use this with the hook blades as a secondary specialty back up to my 25mm standard blade handle. It fits comfortably in the hand and is small enough to always have on you with no problems. The metal piece on the end is great for lots of odd tasks like prying, scraping and flat head screws.

This knife is one of the best i’ve used. The shape is comfortable to grip, and the pry tool on the back has been very useful for a number of things such as opening cans of wood stain etc. I have one in every room of the house and have gifted a few ri family members. Highly recommend

Great All Purpose Knife!

I bought this knife when I started Carpentry 4 years ago and still use the same one to those day. Very durable and the chrome end is fantastic for unscrewing light switch covers and acts great as a little pry tool when needed. Very little damage other than cosmetic. Very impressed.

I'm in water and sewer construction, this knife is a must because of its great feature as a dual purpose tool. It's razor sharp blade and it's rounded metal piece is great for cleaning out rubbers on new or old water/sewer pipes. Highly recommended for anyone in this field.

I received a free Olfa 18mm utility knife from a Facebook ad. Upon receiving and inspecting the knife a person can tell just from holding it that it is a quality made product. Olfa has been around for years and has a name to live up to and it does! Keep up the good work!

Bought this as a replacement to my LA-X 18mm and didn’t realize it was the Rachel crank. Thought nothing of it but after having the slider for so long I can’t stand the Rachet crank. If I realized this I would’ve never opened the package and returned it immediately.

I use this knife for everything, if I need a pick or a pry it's always in my thigh pocket. I have broken one pick clean off and another worn down to a nub but keep buying this knife in the 18 and 25 mm because the pick is just as handy as it it looks.

Very sharp yet safe... comfortable grip.... the ratchet locking blade allows me to adjust the cutting depth. Blades are easy to change and seem to last longer. Great knife to have.

It's an Olfa. It's cuts just like the classic Olfa we've all used for years. The hook on the back is meant to be a feature, but I find more than not it's getting hung up in my tool belt, and out of frustration, I'm reaching for me classic.

I'm an Electrician. I have owned and gone through many styles of knives. This one has been my favorite. It has stood up to my abuse on it. I've used the pick on it for pretty much everything. I also strongly prefer this locking mechanism.

Not all utility knives are made the same. I've owned several cheap ones over the years and always got fed up using them. I decided to spend more to get this Olfa knife and it does not disappoint. It's sharp, ergonomic, and easy to use!

I’ve been using this knife for more than 15 years, when I finally lose one I buy another. The metal on the back works as a screw driver, mini pry bar and works prefect for that last push of the screen cord. This is never lets me down.

This knife never leaves my side. Coupled with the black blades it can tackle any material I put in front of it. The tip on the end has saved me a run back to the toolbox on multiple occasions. Hands down only knife for your belt

I've used many utility knives through all different types of work, but I've loved this knife the best! The blade never comes unlocked, it's easy to change the blades, and the edge on the back is handy for opening up packages.

Have a number of these knives, keep one in every tool box and bag. Great to always have a good grip and I love having the pick on the end, so many uses. It’s like having a screwdriver, scraper, pry bar, etc… always with you.

The blade part is great of course, and locks securely. The pry bar is what makes this knife shine however. Soooo many uses! The soft rubbery grip makes the knife less likely to slide out of my pocket too. Love this product.

Use it in everyday work day for cutting numerous things such as carpet and wiring. Holds up to being in an oily environment. Ratchet wheel feels cheap compared to the older grey knob version that was used on previous models

A very simple design, you know right away how the locking mechanism works and what pressure you need to apply to lock it. Another great thing is a lightweight body that also feels like a great quality, 2 in 1. Recommended!

LOVE this knife! I am a general contractor and I carry this specific knife every day. The steel part on the back is genius, you can use it for prying (super strong) and it fits great in slot head screws. 10/10

I'm an Industrial Design Student and I required a sharp cutting tool to neatly cut through cardstock, paper and plastic. This was a great buy with a very sharp blade that makes it easy to cut through anything!

I ended up using this to cut leather (I am a part time leather worker). The blade stayed sharp longer than the standard blade but seemed more prone to chipping. I love the feel of this knife in the hand.

In everyone of my tool boxes I have one of these knives. The shape of the knife is extremely comfortable, the blades are very durable, and the metal fin on the bottom of the knife always comes in handy.
