Made to last
I bought the first one 3 years ago, to be ‘the’ cut it all knife on my new construction. Since than I cut a few hundred meters of Tyvek, BlueSkin, Styrofoam, Shower backer board and Drywall. I used the tip countless times to pry, chip and dent. It dropped a collective Kilometer and took a general beating.
This knife keeps on shrugging it off - in that regard it not only is a tremendous value, but also super sustainable as you don’t need to keep replacing it (other than the blades).
I did buy another one, which hosts my blade for clean precision stuff and keep using the other one for construction work.
Well done Olfa!

Tough, simple, perfect.
I started out my career working for a custom home and construction recently, and so started the process of loading my pouch with the essential tools. Finally I got down to my knife, thought nothing of it, and bought the cheapest one, which of course broke two days later on site. Frustrated, I asked the guys what knife I should get, all of them shouted “OLFA” “it’s the only knife you’ll ever need. I bought the H1, and haven’t looked back, it’s tough, simple, and does exactly what the description says.

Hands down best utility knife ever!
I bought my first one 5 years ago when I first started my carpentry apprenticeship. Throughout my trade I've tried many kinds of utility knives but none can quite compare to this one. I now own 3 of these and I carry one daily in my tool belt. Simple no frills design, but works absolutely great and does as it's intended to do. Tough as nails and the grip feels great in the hand. Definitely the ultimate utility knife for any trades person! A great price aswell!

Sturdy and excellent service
The knife housing is sturdy and robust and the blades take a great deal of abuse before dulling or chipping. I dropped a heavy tool on the knife's locking mechanism and it broke the tightening wheel. A quick email later and Olfa sent me a new locking mechanism at no extra cost. Excellent customer service. No need to ever change my cutting knife company with quality prodicts and servcie like this!

The best utility blade on the market
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using Olfa knives for as long as I can remember and I've been in the construction trade for 20 years now and I tried other brands but I always go back to my trusty Olfa due to its design , comfort, fresh blade on demand, versatility of materials that can be cut in one slice. And the black blades are in my opinion unmatched by any other blade on the market. You can take my word that if you get this knife and blade combo you will never want to go back to your old brand. Changing the blade is as easy as 1 2 3 no tools required just unlock slide back and insert a new one after you have went through the 7 tips of course then lock and go. It couldn't be any simpler and the durability of the handles are equal to none. And over the years I've converted a lot of my coworkers from the traditional box cutter to the Olfa and they also never went back. Just an all around great company with awesome products and service thanks Olfa. #sweepstake

Fantastic Utility Knife
I used this model of utility knife every day for 10 years as a carpenter. Super safe, sharp and durable. These things are legendary. They can take so many drops before they need to be replaced. I even keep my slightly damaged ones around, simple fixes still make them my go to blade. For the price you can't go wrong.

Must have
I went out to buy this utility knife specifically. It's been proven onsite working on concrete foundations ect, so I knew it was tough and long lasting. Even my 14 year old son ,who has no idea what's good in that area, used it last week to help me and said this is a really good knife!
A must have in your toolbox!

There is no substitute
I recently bought another brand thinking they are all the same. Nope I was wrong it went in the trash at the end of the week wasn’t even good enough to give away lol. I went out n bought 2 of the 25mm, the 25mm is better then the 18mm if ur doing a lot of rough work. I found the 18mm blades to snap a lot
