Flextra Sealant

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We found it very easy to use and the results looked great. Came out of the tube smooth for easy application. We recently moved into a new house and the back doors and side door were not properly sealed as wind and light comes through them and also a laundry vent was poorly done. We used the Mulco Flextra around the trim, door and vent to seal them. It works perfectly. The clear was a nice change from white, you can’t hardly even see it. Great energy saver! And it’ holding strong. We’ve had some high winds and rainy weather so far. Will be great for the winter if we can’t get the doors fixed before then! I would use this product again.

There is no awful smell to the product or sticky, messy application! I am usually a do it yourself type of person and this is definitely a product I could use without needing a lot of instructions and demos! Used it along the outer windows/patio doors to stop a small draft from getting in and the problem was solved quickly and easily! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I used this on new windows that were installed in my home recently that werent caulked properly by the installers. During the winter months I get frost inside the windows due to that and during the summer the humidity. Since applying this product the humidity levels on my thermostat have come down dramatically from 63% to about 45%..it was quick and easy to apply. It came out of the tube easily and cleanly. So far it's done a far better job than what wasnt there to begin with. I can absolutely see the difference as a result. My home is definitely much less humid. Now to see if it can withstand the same test during the winter months!

My husband decided to test it out in two areas - to seal an exterior crack that is causing a leak when there’s a downpour and the rain hits the house just right, and to re-affix our furnace stack topper that blew off in a recent windstorm. As many have indicated - it stinks! However, after using this sealant the first thing my husband said was “Oh ya, I like that sh*t!” He claims the best feature of it, is that it doesn’t stick to your finger - it’s like a gel and it’s pliable. He is very impressed by this and plans to switch to this brand going forward.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Mulco's Flexstra Clear sealant was very easy to use and did a good job stopping drafts along my door. I received the sealant to try from Influenser and was glad to have the chance to test the product. I live in a century old home so there are always drafts along windows and doors. I used the Mulco sealant along my door and it did a great job sealing up the cracks; I was able to quickly place a decent line of caulking, even as a DIY'er. I loved the clear sealant, versus white, because it blended in with my aged white vinyl siding and door frame a bit better than a pure white caulking would have. I will purchase and use Mulco to seal doors and windows in my home again.

We even used it on our chicken coop to seal cracks so they stay warm this winter! We could rest easy knowing it was odorless too. It was very easy to apply, just cut the tip and get started. We found it hard to get it started because of its density but once we got it started it was smooth. I might suggest plastic tube instead of cardboard as our tube started to collapse a bit at first. The super quick drying time was an added bonus althought we needed to work quickly to make sure it was where we needed it to be.

Additionally, helpful in sealing off a small break in our door seal which was allowing ants in. It was very easy to apply, and because it dries clear it is less daunting to use as a DIYer. We found it hard to get it started because of its density but once we got it started it was smooth. For the environment the cardboard tube is nice. However, for the density of the product a plastic tube instead of cardboard may have been more practical. The super quick drying time was an added bonus although we needed to work quickly to make sure it was where we needed it to be. Overall, I think this is a great product and would use again.
