Great Light
This light is awesome. I use a few different lights as a home inspector and this one offers a few features I have not had in other lights. I do carry a separate flashlight but this is a perfect secondary light for me. A. It is magnetic and I can always find a metal object to attach it to in a basement or crawlspace. B. The light is amazingly even, if you need to take photos as part of your job this thing is amazing for cell phone pics. C. It clips to my tool belt and I can use it as a forward-facing flashlight to have a general hands-free light. As you can imagine I have used a ton of lights and this one is truly unique
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great design! But..

I bought the ROVER Pivoting Flood Light.
After charging the battery fully was to run in under sink. It started out good by lighting my work area for about 10 minutes. And then everything went dark. No matter how many times I pressed the power button, nothing.
I have since recharged the battery and had similar results in subsequent uses. Great design. I am unsure if it's a bad battery or something with the light's circuitry.
But I think it's a battery problem. Because if I don't use it for a few days after full charging it, I have to recharge it. I cannot recommend this product at this time based on my experience.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Battery is awful
The light is great. Bright, it has a magnet and clip to hang it off things. Like all the usb lights Milwaukee sells the battery sucks. It doesn't last. When brand new it charges and holds charge fine but within a few weeks time the battery dies fast or just won't charge. I have several usb lights and they all the the same issue. Again the lights themselves are fine it's the batteries that suck. For the price they charge you should get more than a few weeks out of the battery. The whole point of getting rechargeable is so you don't have to keep buying batteries and it's ready when you need it. Do like I did and get rid of these lights and get one that takes a standard 18560 battery.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Worth every expensive penny
I'm an electrician and at first couldn't bite the bullet because of the price. I have a small arsenal of flashlights. All eat AA and AAA batteries weekly it seems. The fact that this is rechargeable off a regular USB is priceless. I find myself using this light daily and because of it's small size I carry it in my pouch. Its dropped 24ft off a scissor lift and somehow didnt crack and still works. On high it lit a kitchen and great room remodel(roughly 30'x20') on a dark rainy day.
There are always cons: The magnet works but could be stronger(the reason it fell off the scissor lift).
If the clip was a little bigger to be able to clamp onto a 2x4. I have the M12 rover and find myself securing it to roof rafters a lot.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The Best Little Light I own
I own several small work lights (5 of them being Milwaukee, and a few other brands as well), and THIS is my go-to light. Its so small, but the amount of light it puts out is INSANE! This thing fits in the palm of your hand and/or shirt pocket, but can light up a 20x20 room like its nothing! The clip on it is fantastic for clipping to your belt loop or tool box and the magnet is good for sticking it places (the magnet could be stronger IMO, but its not horrible). This is very well made and solid so dropping it aint gonna hurt it. This is one bright little sucker!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Buyer's Regret
I bought the ROVER Pivoting Flood Light after seeing it's great light output and small footprint. My first use after charging the battery fully was to run wiring in my crawlspace. The ROVER started out great by lighting my work area....for about 5 minutes and 20 feet into my crawlspace. And then everything went dark. No matter how many times I pressed the power button, nothing. I finally managed to find my out where I retrieved another floodlight to finish the job.
I have since recharged the battery and had similar results in subsequent uses. Great concept, but poor execution. I am unsure if it's a bad battery or something with the light's circuitry, but I cannot recommend this product at this time based on my experience.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I would buy this product again..purchased four

Great product. I use this in my document and personal metal safe to provide lighting. Normally you would have to run a cable to a AC outlet and create a lighting system. These have come along and are the perfect lighting system. They mount anywhere on the inside of the metal safe door. The magnets hold well. The light has the ability to flip. The lights are 500 lumens each which is very bright. Talk about unintended uses. This is a true winner for large metal safes. The lights are rechargeable and come with a charging cable.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Versatile, Bright, and Durable small light
3 years ago
This compact light is plenty bright for most activities! It's simple three brightness output select is simple and helpful. It's also pretty durable. The magnetics work great, but could be just a touch stronger and the clip is amazingly great. I use the clip more than the magnetics to hold it in place and angled usually. The charge indicator is also a nice touch. I just love this thing. Now make it a "C" cable instead of micro and add two more brightness selects (one even brighter and one dimmer).
