Extremely disappointing

Received this as a gift, and at first completely happy but man I am now like the title says EXTREMELY disappointed. Have been a LOYAL milwaukee fan for as long as I can remember from multiple sets of drill sets and bits sets down to safety glasses, but with this light it started off good like I said then it led to a small problem with the actual housing that holds the headlamp didn't want to fit snug, and now the charging is giving a little problem SOMETIMES not all the time butbits still a headache seeing as how expensive these lights are. Should come with a free replacement if they already know about these issues.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I would highly recommend this head lamp

Im a Journeyman Lineman and I was working in the Detroit area restoring power and I was in need of a hard hat light luckily for myself I was able to buy the last one at the store. I was so impressed the fact that I didn’t need to change out batteries. It was so convenient to plug it in to charge and the charge time is very fast. The 4 black hook clips worked great keeping it attached to my hard hat and the big surprise was that the light is magnetic this way if you just need a light without your hard hat it detaches. The other lineman were very impressed and were going to get the same one.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great- but not built for life in Canada.

Loved my USB rechargeable so I thought I’d give this a go…. Love pretty much everything about this light, the magnetic feature is really nice for tight spaces and it’s pretty strong. The flood/spot combo beam is great for outside. Battery life in the cold however is it’s major flaw. Threw this on tonight to snowblow the driveway at -18C and it was flashing red in 20 minutes. It lasted the duration I was out but after it flashed it really wasn’t usable light, not seen over my implement light on the blower. Will stick to my AAA headlamp for the cold. This one for everything else.

Not sure price is steep for a years use.

I have had ok success with battery life 30 min+/- if not on high. I primarily use ot for working under the hood or around house repairing things. I recharged it last week and it worked for about 90 seconds and it flashed and it went out. I plugged it in again and charged it and noticed that it was blinking red and next morning 10 hours later it was blinking green, never turned solid green. Went to use it and it turned on for about 90 seconds flashed and turned off. I plugged it in and it is now flashing orange. Unit is about 1 year old.

Great light, terrible Battery

I use this product mainly working in dark areas under equipment or vehicles. The light itself is great. Multiple different modes for different applications and plenty of light output. Unfortunately, I can only give 2 stars because the battery is just god awful. mine lasts maybe 20 minutes tops on high flood mode, not even the max output. Not sure if I got a dud but unfortunately, it doesn’t look like you can swap the battery out in these. It’s a real shame the battery dies so quick because it is a very nice headlamp otherwise.

Battery Life is no good

I have to say I got this to replace a Nitecore headlamp that my wife bout me for Christmas. But this does not come close when it come to led color brightness and the longevity of the battery. She paid considerably less for it and it’s a better product. The pros are the the build is nice and the magnet feature is pretty cool but the battery life sucks. I can’t even get through a complete project without the battery die if on me and also I don’t seem to understand the modes it doesn’t seam very Intuitive to me.

Why did Milwaukee even bother with this light. The other USB headlights are average, but the battery doesn’t last long enough. At least with them you can switch the “red lithium usb” aka 18650. This one takes forever to charge and the battery life is terrible, even on middle settings. Waste of money. I do like the magnetic flashlight that came out at the same time as this, but this is junk coming from Milwaukee. I own a ton of Milwaukee which I like, so this isn’t just hate.

Save yourself the headache!

I'm. Journeyman pipe fitter and bought the light for doing work in dark areas. I'm truly disappointed that after charging it for a few hours before using it, the light was lucky to provide a total of 20 minutes of service. This is extremely disappointing k owing there are much cheaper options out there providing much better results than this light but because I have other Milwaukee products I decided to try this one.
