Powered by REDLITHIUM USB, the Milwaukee USB rechargeable BEACON hard hat light combines exceptional hands free task lighting with an innovative, BEACON personal safety light. The headlamp delivers 600 lm of TRUEVIEW high definition output with spot and flood beam options. With steady and blinking options, the BEACON personal safety light makes users visible up to 1/4 mile from all directions when used with the front headlamp.

This headlamp is ideal for roadside, tunnel or underground work, spotters, signalers and users working around moving equipment. Compatible with all hard hats, this headlamp's elastic strap, silicon grip and universal hardhat clips adjust to any size or type. Get all day runtime with five light output modes: hybrid spot/flood, flood high, flood medium, flood low, spot high. Water and dust resistant, this headlamp can withstand up to 2 m drops and the toughest conditions on and off the jobsite. This headlamp performs with over 2,000 recharges and 3X faster charging via USB. The REDLITHIUM USB battery can be recharged in the light via micro USB or swapped out with additional REDLITHIUM USB batteries for virtually no downtime.

I would not buy this again, nor should you

I'm a diehard Milwaukee product owner of various and many Milwaukee tools, as well as many pieces of Packout components. This is the first Milwaukee product that I certainly will never buy again, nor would I recommend anyone else purchase it. Ok, so, the light is very bright on the spot light and spot light/flood light mode. The other two settings are okay as well. That being said, The light has no length of life. Within the first 4 months, the battery doesn't hold much of a charge, and it often red and green light flashes on charge. when i correct the fault flash and finally get a supposed full charge, i might get 10 minutes of use if I'm lucky.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I like the brightness when it works properly

The light is definitely bright enough to serve many a persons needs but the reliability is an area to require major improvements. The high beam works most fo the time but the low beam quit working and I have not had any luck getting it to work right. I press the power button and nothing, the charge light comes on frequently when I press the on off button. Only the pone side works though. It is a great concept but for the big price it should work better. Now that I am trying to get it to light up so I can show the one side only working I can’t get anything to come on. Only the charge LED flashes..

Use your phone flashlight to find a different one.

I had high hopes for this headlight and was very pleased during the first 3 weeks that I used it. After that, nothing but issues. Started having charging issues and wouldn't last for more than 5 minutes. Red and green flashing lights when attempting to charge it. Soon it stopped working altogether. By simply removing the battery and putting it back in I was able to get it to turn back on for another 5 minutes worth of use. Would not recommend. Certainly possible to purchase multiple and better headlights for what was spent on this single item.

Great light even greater disappointment!

I was super excited when I finally found this light in a store, go it to the car started charging it and headed to the hills for some hiking! And after about 25 minutes on high it just quit working, thankfully I carry some other options with me or me and the kids would’ve been left in the dark. I figured it didn’t charge well enough cause I’ve never had an issue out of anything Milwaukee that I own. The next day I charged it at home snd we set out again that evening and the same issue occurred I was very disappointed to say the least. Not even 48hrs into owing the light and it’s let me down 2x I hate to agree with some of the other reviews but it’s not something I would buy again at this time. It’s a great platform just needs the kinks worked out of it.

Not at all impressed with performance

I got one of these as a gift from my brother and loved it! Everyone around me when I turned it on was VERY impressed with brightness. The on/off button stopped working after about 6 months after I got it and I thought it was from frequent use. I bought another one and it only lasted 5 months before the button stopped turning it on. I would have to sit there and push button repeatedly (50 - 100 times) before it would come on and then have to open the battery compartment to shut it off. Pretty sad for being such a great brand.

I have thousands of dollars worth of Milwaukee tools between the 12 and 18v sets. I have nothing but love and respect for these lines. I have two of the red lithium USB lights and am not a fan at all. Battery dies quickly when using it on high mode which I do often do to my line of work, I get at most 1.5hrs of life out of it. Now if I do use it on low or medium I do get more out of the battery but I don’t use those modes often. For me charging is a hassle because if I forget to take it out of my bag and charge it the night before I am stuck using my phone as my light the next day. I do have a couple extra batteries but In the same, I have to change the battery at least 2 times a day. I want to love it but I can’t. Lastly the light is bright and does work well.

Garbage Batteries

After about a year, the battery started flashing red/green (faulty battery). I bought a second battery with the USB charger, as well as a third single battery to replace the first faulty one. Upon taking both batteries out of the packaging (and hacking the packages to pieces in the process) BOTH brand new batteries are flashing red/green. I have a lot of Milwaukee tools, but these batteries are absolute garbage, which makes whatever they power, useless.

The Best Hard Hat Light I have owned!

I use this Hard Hat Light on our grain drying and handling operation works great. Love the brightness. Really lights up the work area inside a grain bin or grain dryer. I have not had a problem with the battery life but I do not need it on for hours on end. The only problem I have is that I lost 1 of the clips that hold it to my hard hat and can not seem to find anyone that sells replacements. I would would think that this would be a common problem.
