Surprised how often it's my "go-to" square!
Everyone has a vew 7" squares floating around, but you need this one! I bought it because it would fit in one of my tool belt pouches. I am shocked at how much I use it! If you need to mark something over 4" (like a 2x8) just flip it to the other side or get a bigger square, dont complain! I work as a carpenter on shows that hand out gold awards to people in Hollywood and this little square is perfect!
My only area for improvement would be that I would like the markings to be etched deeper into the surface. I especially like the measurement markings to be deeper. It would be especially helpful for those of us that regularly work in lower light conditions.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is the Ideal Size and Works Great!
Can't believe how handy this is. Of course its size limits it for use on 2x4's and trim but if that's what you're working with then this is perfect. I find it really handy because its never in the way but always a quick, reliable tool that makes my work easy and fast. I'm not in a hurry but I hate wasting time and again this fits the bill. When I'm just working 2x4's and trim this is going to make your task faster and more efficient, doesn't stick out and get in the way, doesn't get caught on things and become cumbersome. I have a 7" and 12" speed square and believe me those are very handy as well but this little beauty is so nice and compact I love it! Thanks Milwaukee! Nailed it!
Yes, I recommend this product.

great idea, great size, but limited accuracy.

I bought one of these at a big box store, and loved its size and convenience. When some precision cuts weren't quite joining well, however, I did the 2-line test and also put it against a machinist's square and discovered it was only about 89-89.5 degrees, which is fine for cutting 2x4s for house framing, but not quite ok for precisely joining trim pieces or doing any cabinetry. Took it back and measured the 12 in stock at the store, and they all suffered from the same acute-angle problem, so it looks like a manufacturing QC issue. I would love this tool if I could depend on it more. The 1/4' and 3/8" edges on the foot are convenient, and it fits well in my toolbelt. Can't recommend until it's more reliably precise.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great product

I have had it for a few months now and I love it. I like that it's small and compact, and like the previous comment it is limited to 2x4 but if that what you are doing it works. One thing that I have done is just flip the square to the other side of my work peace if I am working with something bigger like a 2x6

Ideal Square!
This square has been great! Made in the USA, affordable and durable!
I did a two line test and found mine to be exactly 90 degrees.
I love the compact size and the solid feel. The laser etched markings are not worn off from a year of solid use. I also am very thankful that it is USA made.

Extremely handy!!

I have used a 7” speed square my whole life and when this came out I picked one up and now use this one more often then my 7” speed square. Of course if you are working with lumber bigger then 2x4 then this square won’t be ideal, but anything smaller this has been my go to square to use.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I like to build wooden models. Trains , toys etc. This is such a great addition to my layout tools, small enough to fit in tight spaces Built like a tank strong with all the features of a large square. Nice price

Good tool but I have issues with sturdiness

I use everyday about 50%of the day being a carpenter and I’ve dropped it a couple times dents easier than any other square I’ve had
