Snaped 1/2" drill bit in WOOD 1st use

Bought this set and 1st use of the 1/2" bit drilling in a pine 2x4. and it just snapped off almost like it exploded very disappointing, and i was drilling straight and not even applying very much pressure scared the crap out of me

Bought them part of a set. Came with 2 and both broke with just a bit of pressure on wood. Really disappointed with this product considering most of my tools are Milwaukee. Now I have to buy replacements.

After one use the 1/2” bit broke. I used the smaller bits to step up in size and they were fine but the 1/2” bit broke at the base of the shaft. Seems like some poor material to break that quick.
