I Would Not buy this again.

Oh man where to start. So when I first started using it was nice. After a few cuts on ABS pipe I noticed the blade was starting to dull which I was thinking ok no big deal (until I seen the cost of the replacement blade) But the ratcheting mechanism started to slip and made it to where I had to go slow when applying pressure to make it start to click in and lock and just made it not a good easy tool to use. These cutters are not cheap especially compared to other brands that might actually work better and for it to be messing up like this is not ok. After reading other reviews I think it’s time for Milwaukee to take these back in the lab and figure out how to fix these problems.

This is my first bad Milwaukee experience
4 years ago
We've been using Milwaukee tools around our farm for probably around 10 years and overall have had a great experience. Thought I would get a good PVC cutter once that lasts but I was disappointed. It worked for maybe a dozen cuts now a latch mechanism inside broke and I can't get it to open anymore. Checked into getting warranty on it and it seems their "Lifetime Warranty" isn't good on hand tools. I thought they would take more pride in their craftsmanship than this... Made me start to question my loyalty to the Milwaukee brand...

not worth your money

I purchased this cutter thinking it would be durable and be able to save time cutting PVC and ABS plastic pipe
Worked for less than two weeks and had an issue with the blade.
Took to service center and they said there was no warranty on hand tools
Asked how much a new blade was and was given a price more than I paid for the tool
Also told it would take at least a month to get one in.

It’s not a cheap tool. Fix the problem

I’m a 100% loyal to milwaukee. But this cutters are not very strong . The inside Mechanism got stuck . I try to force it back open and broke the handle off . And warranty doesn’t cover hand tools . I bought another pair but I’m afraid to use it on abs again . I hope they can look into this cutters and make them last more then 2 weeks

Very disappointed

This tool let me down twice. The cutting blade shattered in the winter on some pvc conduit, a replacement blade was rather difficult to find but I did find one. Now the latch that keeps the blade in place to advance the cut has broke in half, leaving me once again with an expensive paper weight.

2 3/8 inch blade shattered into two pieces

This blade shattered on me while cutting an ordinary 1 inch pvc pipe. Almost shattered right into my face. Replacement blades are expensive. Maybe I should throw the whole thing away. or will Milwaukee give me a replacement blade?
No, I do not recommend this product.

Brittle ratchet mechanism
Worked great...for a bit. The tooth in the ratcheting mechanism broke off. Appears to be aluminum, not sure why it isn't steel. Cheaper brands last way longer at a fraction of the price. Can't add photo (file size too big)

Bad tool quality

I’ve had 2 of these fist one the metal by the ratchet release spring broke the second one the ratchet mechanism broke. Poor quality tool I’ve used the surviving parts from both to make one but it will most likely break
