Very disappointed. Poor quality control.

Upon first use the hinge bolt and nut (that holds the two parts of tool together and upon which each pivots) fell out somewhere in a dirt floor basement and could not be found. Tool is now useless. I have a large set of Milwaukee tools, and while such poor quality control has not been a problem with the rest of them, it is no less disappointing. I bought this particular tool without even looking at other options because of the Milwaukee name/reputation.
Unfortunately, it sat new in package for several months before use, so it is now too late to return to store.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great hand cutters for PEX and PVC tubing

This tool is great. I've worked on both plumbing in residential homes and hot tub repairs. Most jet lines in spas is 3/4" and you use a ton of 1/2" up to 1" PEX lines in homes. The handle is very comfortable so you can do hundreds of cuts without wearing on your hands, the locking mechanism is situated perfectly with just a push action. The blade is replaceable, but I've had this for a year and it still cuts like its new. Great tool, I have yet to see anyone else make one quite like it. Good job Milwaukee on this one.

Big design flaw, and a great slicer of your finger

Awful design. The tip of the blade protrudes through the top when closed making it an exposed sharp razor blade edge. Needless to say, reaching in the tool bag and your finger grabs, brushes or whatever past it, worst cut ever. I did it on the pad of my finger. Tetanus shot later, not happy. Great pex cutter, and even better finger slicer.

Could be better

After only 15-20 uses , the set screws fell out as blades then fallout after only using to cut pex , then lost set screws in the middle of a job along with blade after just a few uses , love Milwaukee tools but just unsure about these

Bought 2 pairs of them. both worked well until the set screws that hold the blade in place fell out and lost. Now one of them rendered useless.
