Awesome little light, fragile clip though

As a residential electrician I find myself in dark places everyday. This light has become an absolute essential part of my ecd. It's very compact, lightweight and most importantly, the light color is very easy on the eyes. However, the clip needs to be beefed up a bit. I haven't even gone through my fist set of batteries and it has snapped off. Caught on something as I started to kneel and it just snapped. Not having the clip makes this a far less convenient tool as its difficult to dig out of my pocket with gloves on. Bottom line- I would still recommend.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I will continue to buy

I’ve been using these lights daily for a few years and burned through 8 of them. Usually the rubber would come off after a few months and eventually the plastic end would snap off after repeated drops. I’ve dropped in buckets of coolant, oil, water and it doesn’t affect them (besides the taste) Honestly I think these lights are awesome I just figured out that they had a lifetime warranty so I will be taking advantage of that. I’ve used the stream lights and other brands and for the price the Milwaukee is the best and I like how it’s a more natural light instead of the typical bluish color with other led lights also I like that it has a rubber/plastic end cap so your not chipping your teeth while it’s in you mouth. I would totally recommend

Flickering Pen Light after several months

Pros: Color cast, 1/2 press turns on light, perfect for close range, compact. Cons: After several months it got the dreaded and oft reported flicker issue described in other reviews. I did find one of the caps a tiny bit loose, but I doubt that's the issue. I was recommending the light to other service personnel, but that likely will no longer be the case. The other day for example when the power was out in our main building, the light started flickering, and coming on about 1/2 power. A phone light was more useful and reliable at that point. Kind of an embarrassing moment for a flashlight I loved until now. I work in facilities maintenance, this light has been used daily for several months. May be time to start looking elsewhere, again.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Best I Have Ever Owned pocket light

Use every night. The pen light feels good in your hand. I do get the bite grip feature. Yes I know putting it in your mouth may not be the best thing but you do need both of your hands sometimes and it is easy to hold in your mouth. The pen is very bright and it has a good color light that is still focused and a bright white light but it is tinted just right not to hurt your eyes. Like I said best pocket light I have ever owned, Milwaukee did there homework on this one and it is a great light. So far it has been durable and waterproof.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I’m on my second one.

I work in the HVAC/R field as a technician. I bought my first pen light about 8 months ago. I use this little guy a lot. About 2 weeks ago I was hunting down a low voltage short at around 2 am. The little rubber button detached from the pen light and settled on the back of my tongue. I of course freaked out because I had no idea what it was at the time. I spit the flash light out and the little button too. I’m not mad about the failure. Like I said, I use it constantly. I purchased another one very recently because I cannot find the end cap assembly to replace the damaged one. The website lists the part # in the specs. But I cannot find it on the site for ordering. Part # 42-52-0275. Over all, this little flashlight is my EDC. In my field it’s essential. Good tool.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Really clean flashlight

My wife found this flashlight in a VRBO rental. She noticed a strange sound in the washing machine and thought it was my pocket change but it turned out to be this light wedged in a crack inside the washer. No telling how long it's been there but the anodizing and even some checkering is worn off one side. I didn't expect much when she gave it to me but to my surprise it works great. Any light that could survive months of washing machine cycles in a rental property deserves 5 stars in my book.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good flashlight until...

It was a good flashlight until the on & off button broke off. It had a good bright light especially when you just replace the battery. Comes handy when working on a car, around the house, and for work on a tight area where you need a light. I really like it but once that on & off button breaks expect to have a dead flashlight. It was like a battle to get to turn on. I have to press the button several times to get to turn on which is really frustrating. I put in a new battery to make sure it is not the battery but same results. I thought it was just a coincidence but seeing other feedback here looks like its the flashlight flaw. Now the flashlight doesn't even come on no matter how much I try to turn it on. I think Milwaukee needs to come up with a better durable button especially for its price.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I would not buy again. Stream Light next

I used this product for just every day inspection. At first reallly enjoyed the flashlight. But would stop working intermittently. The power button was sketchy at first then just stopped. Changed batteries and made sure things were all squared away. Still not working. Really needed it last night as I had a major car failure on the highway. Had to smack it several times for it to come on then the light wasn’t very bright with fresh batteries. I would not recommend buying this one.

Great light output but fragile

The light output is bright and very even. It's better than any light I've ever used. The problem is the clip snaps off way too easily and over time the rubber over the power button wears a hole in it. I work in healthcare so there's no way I'm putting that thing in my mouth. It would be better without the rubber end. I carry it in my back pocket all day at work and it just doesn't hold up. It's too bad because of these two things were fixed it would be an awesome product.

Convenient until the button disintigrates

I bought this light for daily use about three months ago. On the plus side, I have found that it's brighter than most others in the price range and fits in my pocket without being too cumbersome. Unfortunately, the rubber cover to the button is basically made of jell-o and completely deteriorated. Last night it finally crumbled the last little piece away. I went to look and of course the replacement button is as expensive as the whole flashlight was. I guess Milwaukee knows what to charge to exponentially increase margin on a low cost/low margin product and how to make that a guarantee. For what its worth, I really liked the light until it didn't last three months. Not what I expect from a trusted quality brand, and judging by the reviews, most everyone seems to agree with me after experiencing the same failure.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great except the clip

This is a great light - I carry and use it daily. I like how the button is not easy to accidentally push and drain the batteries like the brand I carried before. The rubber bite zone is nice, but the clip is way below par in comparison to the rest of my milwaukee collection. I also find myself trying to adjust the beam quite often and would like to see that feature; not as big of a hindrance as the weak clip, but would like to see the next model have an adjustable beam.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Best pen light I've owned

I am a professional auto mechanic and have bought many pen lights over the years. The switches im all the pen lights would fail after about a year and then I bought this Milwaukee figuring the same thing but now a year later it stillworks great. I use it daily it has been dropped in liquids ran over with car tires and switch continues to work even though the rubber boot that covers the switch is worn off and is gone. I would highly recommend it to anyone

Expected more from Milwaukee

When I first got the light I really like it carried it on me for about 2.5 months then the light has started flickering and won’t turn on half the time. Half to click a hundred times to get it to work. The tail switch cap has started coming off too. I carried the coast g20 for over a year before this light and it is a way stronger light never had a problem. I have many Milwaukee tools love them and expected more out of this light.

Good light, weak pocket clip.

I love the light, I carry it daily next to my pocket knife. I use it a lot for when I’m on a job or quoting a job, electrical or plumbing. The rubber bite piece comes in handy. The only bad thing I can say about the light is the pocket is weak af. I’ve got two pen lights, both pocket clips broke about a week into usage. I used the broken clip to draw an outline and made new, stronger ones out of steel and aluminum. Works great.

Solid Flashlight

I keep this flashlight in my front pocket and although it is extremely useful, bright, and durable. .it isn’t the easiest to turn on. And by that I mean it’s a flashlight with a tough on/off button. If the on/off button was easier to push this product would have easily been 5-stars for me. Overall the flashlight is quite handy and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a small yet durable pocket sized flashlight option.

It's questionable weather I would purchase again

I like the durability of the light but the light is a little dull when turned on. It looks like the lens is glazed over. I don't see if there is an LED conversion to purchase to make it brighter. I used a 1 aaa battery stream light previously but I can't find them in stores anymore, thats why I purchased this one. Now looking through these reviews I'm concerned that I may have the on/off button issue as well.

No, I do not recommend this product.

If I can get it fixed, I'd recommend it.

I purchased this light about four months ago and have used it every night since. I like the design, the shape, the size and the illumination. However, while using it, it just stopped working. Batteries are at 100%, so it must be a burned out bulb. But the instructions have nothing about replacing a bulb? If I can get it fixed in a timely fashion I'll keep using it. If not, I'll move on to the next company.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I use my 2105 every single day

I’m in the concert sound biz, so I use my flashlight all the time, every day. Under stages, in amp racks, digging through cable-trunks. My 2105 is always in my right leg pocket, always. In the last few weeks the End Cap has begun to break down. It has become intermittent. Dimming, flickering, turning off temporarily, turning back on in my pocket. It might be time to send this one to a better place.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Could be 5⭐ but the rubber botton cap broke twice.

I'm a everyday flashlight user as a auto technician. First one was a gift, and I used it like a Milwaukee hand tool is design for. Second one I bought it and treat it like a lady... both broke at the same place, the rubber switch cap/seal, in less that 6 month each. Both still working. Still prefer it over a Mag Light or Coast LED, as no battery contact issues, so fit perfect in that old holster.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Quality, useful, rugged.

I rarely give anything five stars but I’ve owned quite a few penlights over the years and this one is deserving. This little penlight is rugged and useful for brief service work. It’s bright enough to illuminate the work area and the spot is wide enough to be useful even at 3 feet. The button requires some extra effort to push because of the rubber seal, but I’m perfectly fine with it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

As far as a small pen light goes, this one cant be beat for the price! Great for inspections, and up close work! Color output is top notch for the LED. I use this light for 5 mins at a time 10-20 times a day and the batteries last me a month. Very happy with this light! When I lose it, (cause that's what I do) I'm sure I'll buy another. Only wish they had a belt holster made for it.

Exensive little bummer

I purchased many Milwaukee tools via a recommendation. Really like all the products except for the problem with this pen light. Battery chamber too tight and screw on battery cover and on/off switch won't screw together properly. For such an expensive pen light, should have lasted longer. Very disappointing. What happened to the days of high quality products that last years?!

This my favorite flashlight. I've gone through 5 of these already due to the rubber button cap. They are the perfect size, I love the rubber bite zone, and the light output is perfect. I do wish the button design was different as the rubber button cap tears off after a few months of daily use. With a redesign of the button this could be the ultimate mechanics flashlight.

I really enjoy this light but might switch to something different after three lights. First one the endcap came off which I figured was just due to use. The second and third won't turn on. With repeated tapping it'll come on but best not move it too much because it'll go dark. Tried new batteries and switching the switches between them with the same result.

I bought this to help me out on some projects I do around my house and to inspect vintage drums I purchase. I had left it in my pocket so it went through the washing machine, it's full cycle, and 10 minutes in the dryer. Nothing got wet or harmed from either of this! I was very impressed on the quality and durability of this light! I would buy another!

Good light, bad switch

The brightness and light pattern are excellent. When it was new, the pushbutton was very stiff and it was difficult to turn off and on. Then, like many other reviewers say, the rubber cover over the pushbutton just disintegrated and fell off. How do I make a claim on the lifetime warranty? All I need is the end cap assembly; I can screw it on.

It’s a great light for quick inspections, aside from the really poor quality end cap. Mine started blistering and now is falling apart, rendering it pretty much useless. I got it for Christmas, so it has only been used for 3 months. I’m a mechanic and love all of my M12 and M18 tools, but this light doesn’t stand up as expected from the name.

Good light bad end cap

I feel like I'm piling on but as good as the light may be, one of the selling features is the soft rubber, switch-cap, end. Problem is, the rubber has an expiration date and then it disintegrates. The replacement part (if you can find it) cost almost as much as the light. These should be cheap and readily available since it it such an issue.
