Not sure why one side sweats between my seats
3 years ago
I absolutely love all things Milwaukee
I don’t think there’s a single packout made that I don’t own at least one of.
But we all know the price difference is sometimes pretty substantial and it’s because of that we hold our “red” to higher standards
So this last week I’ve been noticing one side of my cooler has sweat on the outside and the other 3 sides are dry as could be. It sits in my work truck between my seats there’s a two foot gap. I spun it thinking it was maybe a draft or the direction of the sun but I’ve been unable to stop the one side from sweating and it’s not something that would happen in the first few months.
Overall it’s great to throw on a stack when at a job for a day but over a short time seemed to wear quickly.
No, I do not recommend this product.

30 Hours? No Way!
Bought this to use in a SxS, based on the size, and the "Holds Ice For 30 Hours" claim. Well, the size worked out fine, but even on a day with temperatures that started in the 40s, and ended in the 70s things were getting warmer in the cooler only 9-10 hours later, and that was with two good sized re-usable cold packs, and two of the six bottles of water were pre-frozen, the other four were refrigerated. For the price, I have to say I am pretty disappointed. This cooler is not worthy of the Milwaukee name, nor the asking price.

Not sure about the other reviews…

… but I couldn’t be happier with the pack out cooler. Yeah it might be pricier than other similar sized coolers but none of those snap on to my boxes for easy transport. I’ve also had my packout cooler in the cab of my hot truck for hours and items we’re still cold. A drain plug would’ve been nice but I use freezer gel packs that stay frozen longer and don’t melt. Can’t look at it as just a cooler, it’s part of a larger system and fits/works well with that system.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Okay Product

I’d like to see Milwaukee offer a water resistant tray for this box because I like to keep my keys and wallet in the lunchbox while at work but if the cooler tips over with any water in it, everything in the tray is submerged. Milwaukee please offer us a tray that fits in this box with a lid and o ring!! Maybe even a full-length one or two smaller separate ones that both fit and are interchangeable. Commit to your products and your customers. I’m sure I’m not alone!

I would not buy this product

I use my Milwaukee packout cooler for my work lunch cooler.
My cooler doesn’t hold the ice for eight (8) hours!
The only positive feature is a tray at the top of the cooler to keep your sandwich dry.
I’m very disappointed with my packout cooler!
It doesn’t have a drain plug either!
For the price of the Milwaukee packout cooler i expected a cooler to keep my drinks cold throughout the day!
I love my Milwaukee fuel tools but this cooler is a letdown.

Close to perfect
This would be perfect but for me I would like dry storage space for pens, pencils, highlighters, first aid material, usb chargers and cords. And it’s much more space than I need for ice packs, drinks and edibles. It would be perfect if the height was reduced by the height of a half wide organizer and then I could attach one to the bottom. If I attach one to the bottom of this cooler it’s too tall and there’s too much unused space in the cooler.

Works for me

The Packout system is awesome, and the integration of this lunchbox with that system is flawless.
Yep, you guessed it. Definitely not a Yeti, although pre-loading it with 3 ice packs lasts for the majority of my 12-hour work day in the Summer heat of Phoenix. This July has a daily average high in the triple digits, so that is working for me.
I’d love to see a version that includes or accommodate a carry strap.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Nice but on the pricey side
The price kept me from purchasing for awhile and although I do like the cooler it really doesn’t stand out for what it cost. The one thing I love abought it is the tight seal the lid has put ice in around 4am and emptied at 11pm with chunks of ice coming out and all items were adequately cold I also like the narrow side lifting makes it easy to get into on passenger floorboard of the truck on long travels
