Does what it is supposed to
After years of "it was out of oil" or the generator no longer puts out power" and it cost too much to repair being the answer. We invested in 2 of these units, they arrived two weeks ago. No issues, they hold a charge all day long and they will handle 2 @ 15amp 7" angle grinders at a time. Granted these are new so only time will tell, but if they hold up we will not go back to engine driven again. So far, so good !
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great for new construction without electrical yet
4 years ago
This portable battery power supply has come in so handy on the new construction jobs sites we are on. We use it quite often for our chop saw on the site when needed and can last days. We also have been using it for our coffee maker and microwave in the winter time here so far which is awesome!
Also comes in handy to charge our smaller m18 batteries when needed on jobs without electrical yet.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Product

This has become one of my go to Power Supplies. I use it all the time to power my saws, lights and routers on job sites. I own several generators and this is much easier and more efficient. In addition, we built a storage rack In one of my trailers to keep the trailer lights, phone chargers and a radio powered up while we are on the job. Another great product from Milwaukee.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Worst product Milwaukee yet, please do not buy!!!
I am an electrical contractor and use 100% Milwaukee tools with a team of over 30 electricians. I bought this product after seeing it at a tool show to use sometimes when I need portable power to charge batteries or run my laptop on a site that does not have shore power yet. But when my kids school asked for a power source for a three-hour school parade to run some Christmas lights and a small radio, I volunteered this product immediately. Unfortunately, with a full charge, it only lasted AN HOUR!!! I could not believe it, it could not power a small amount of Christmas lights for longer than an hour… at a ridiculous price point!!! I am extremely disappointed and pray this product gets pulled from production, and they immediately rethink the engineering, especially with not being able to charge it and use it simultaneously, which would have been useful by being able to charge it with the small inverter powered plug on the truck while using it.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The tool that missed the mark
This product falls short. Never expected this lack of performance from Milwaukee tool. Pulled this unit out of the box, charged the two included batteries for 2-3hours and it was test time. This thing could not start a 1600 watt heater. The M18 version of this guy starts the heater right up. Not how I wanted to be introduced to the MX line.

It works but
It will run my 15 amp Milwaukee core drill for a few but it eats the battery and will not run it unless there’s at least 1 bar on the top and full on the bottom of the battery charge indicator. Expensive lesson learned. We drill 8 holes 3” deep and 4” core every day. It will not do all eight holes. Usually does 6.

Rugged generator replacement. This allows you to run equipment without the need to carry oil and gas and the bonus is no fumes. Pros: lighter, less extension cords, no fumes , and no need to carry gas and oil. Cons: when the batteries are dead, they need to be charged.
Yes, I recommend this product.

3600 watts, nope!!!!
Tried running my 15 amp inverter welder and made sure the inrush current was set well below the 3600 watt level(30 amps). Unit could not maintain. Going back to my generator! Basically paid for a portable battery charger. All the hype and failed to deliver.....

Doesn't charge M18 12.0 batteries
I tried charging some M18 12.0 batteries today for the first time. First I plugged in two chargers and when I came back to check on the progress, the chargers were alternating, completely shutting off about every 15 seconds, then turning back on again. They probably did that 200 times on each battery before I saw what it was doing. After that, I unplugged one of them to see if it would still do that with just one charger. It seemed to be fine for a minute but when I came back to check on it, it was doing the exact same thing. The charger eventually showed the battery was charged but it was only at 3 bars when I pulled it off. The next three batteries did the same, none of them coming to a complete charge. It didn't matter if the MX batteries were completely full top and bottom. When I got the batteries home, I plugged them into a wall charger and all of them took a full charge above and beyond what the inverter gave them. The whole reason I bought it was to charge my smaller batteries when there wasn't a place to plug in a wall charger. This was a colossal waste of money!

Take two! No more auto shut off!
The only thing I didn’t like about it was the auto shut off and the eliminated that. I use mine all the time. It sits right below the extension cords in my contractor trailer. Extension cords rarely get used anymore, the time saved stringing them out and roll back up is money. The other bonus is not tripping breakers, haven’t tripped one since I started using the Power Station.
This was worth the money, it’s doing everything as advertised. I checked the noise level and it came in at 60dB. You can talk on your phone while next to it. Charges both batteries in 3 hours.
We went to the cabin this weekend and it is remote. We use a generator for power at least 3hrs a day and only get power when it’s on so you can’t have a refrigerator running all the time. Now we have a refrigerator and you can turn lights on when you need them without the generator. I run the generator about 2 hrs a day now to charge the Power Station. Going to get a Honda 1000 generator to replace the Honda 3000. I only need 3.9amps to charge the Power Station and the 1000 is quieter than 60dB produced by the Power Station.
Taking the it camping in our VW bus and will report our experience.
Yes, I recommend this product.

after viewing this product I cant come to buy it again for many reasons I will point out most but not all I have high standards witch I don't believe this product meets
for starters, the battery doesn't say its operating temperatures are I work in extreme environments where it can reach plus 40 all the way to minus 45 celsius for the field guy we know the mud and water is no joke, yes we try to protect our investments as best we can and we know its hard to make things indestructible for inept co-workers but a battery on the bottom is a hard thing to say that will work
next powering up the devise love and hate it at the same time was wondering if you would consider a second attachment powerup option since a lot of the world is going to solar was seeing if this could help with the charging options after working hours
two 12v plugs can we get more options for the next generation option like USB or another two plugins
lastly, the name generator is in the title of the product. the product doesn't produce electricity it's moving a car battery around the site or a jackery for personal use
I work in any situation but I can't see it working every time. yes it has downfalls but what tool doesn't will it be better than your competitors I do not know but I hope these suggestions help meet the high standards I have
No, I do not recommend this product.

Milwaukee listened!
I purchased this and two additional batteries with a stand alone charger nearly as soon as they hit my local tool suppliers warehouse. Initially, I was let down. Imagine working in a 2 million dollar home with a fully finished basement, utility power disconnected upgrading electrical services in preparation of a standby generator installation to find out this originally had an auto shutdown feature and left the sump pump offline. I turned around to see rain water rising out of the floor drain, ran to the mechanical room and powered up as soon as possible to empty the sump pit and avoided a very large claim.
Milwaukee made a running production change and eliminated the timer. The updated unit has been awesome. The one key connectivity is convenient and easy. The battery release and connection feels great. An ability to add locks at the batteries is a nice touch and may avoid quick thefts of opportunity. Fit, finish, and durability appears good.
The power supply has made things much easier. No more looking for exterior plugs and running hundreds of feet of extension cords. No noise to interrupt a home owner. I don’t have to worry about dirty extension cords running across expensive carpet or pets escaping through unclosed doors. It has powered our threader and SDS Max without hesitation.
Milwaukee’s attentiveness and outreach to correct my concerns have only solidified my choice to embrace their product. I’ve personally invested in all battery platforms and their storage solutions and will continue to be a loyal and happy customer!
