Second charger and still a problem
The charger was bundled with my M18 Oscillating tool. Out of the box, it was flaky at best. You needed to slam the battery into the charger for it to work. The charger with my drill/driver was smooth as silk and worked fine. Contacted Milwaukee and 10 days later new charger arrived. Same issue. You literally need to slam the battery into the charger for it to work. Clearly they have changed the unit in the last few years. Don’t rely on this charger, find an alternative. Doubt I will go for strike 3. Anyone know of another company that makes Milwaukee M18 compatible chargers .
No, I do not recommend this product.

Would try a different charger
The new charger from my M18 Cordless Combo Tool Kit (4-Tool) 2695-24 did not work right out of the box. When I attempt to charge the supplied batteries, the charger would cause blink green-red. (They are brand new!) I did get the charger replaced via warranty but the new one they shipped me (same model) had a similar problem. I could get the batteries to charge if you jiggle it the right way (single light would show it worked) but only about 25% of the time. It looked like others had a similar problem.

I like the tools, charger is terrible
I've used Milwaukee tool extensively for a decade in the Motorsport world and they have always been good. This Charger however is a different story.
Thankfully buying various tools over the years I've always had spare chargers as they broke or stopped working, now down to my last one it too has failed for seemingly no obvious reason. Strangely enough its probably the oldest one. All the newer ones died within months. It has just stopped working all together.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Engineering Issue Needs Resolved
Just pulled this out of the box and threw a battery on it. It went red for a bit, then I put the charger on the shelf. I walked back in to check on the progress and the red/green lights were flashing - bad battery pack. Except it's not. I've got this sitting on a wire shelf and it doesn't sit level so the battery doesn't maintain contact with the charger contacts. If this locked in the issue would be fixed, or if the angle was steeper the issue would be fixed. The current angle is just shallow enough that if the side with the lights angle down just a little bit too much, the battery loses contact and the charger flags it as a bad battery. Not the best first impression with Milwaukee tools. I've used the yellow tools, the neon green tools and am just swapping from the teal M brand. None of them have issues charging batteries.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I will buy again only cause I got Milwaukee tools.
Charges at a better rate I guess but not by much then standard charger but I bought a replacement as I lost my original charger . Got the multivoltage rapid charger and it worked for maybe a month and then just croaked...did maybe 8-10 battery recharges on it before this happened. I use my tools for work so this was pretty frustrating. I support Milwaukee tools always but they need to get a seemingly common problem they have with their charges fixed.

Flashing Red and Green light nearly all the time
a year ago
I have 3 of these chargers as the came with kits or combo deals. Every one of them are extremely finicky and will nearly always say the battery is defective by flashing green and red lights. I have had to giggle the battery into a specific position and it's inserted into the charger and that will periodically allow the battery to charge. You can't move or bump the charger at all or it will go into the red green flashing cycle again.
At times, I will have to insert some thin cardboard between the charger housing and the battery to give it a snug fit and this works better on one of the charger. But not the other. So many customers are complaining about the same issue. Where is the quality with this charger? Milwaukee need to step up and fix these or swap them out. How can we use the tools when we struggle to get the batteries to charge?

Wonderful tool
I live in Ft. Lauderdale Fla, with the incoming Hurricane this week, I had to clear out a large Bod of Plam trees growing in my backyard against my house. Some of these trees were 15 ft tall and had a base of 3-4 inches. Normally I use my Rockwell equipment. But I would have to run 1 or 2 extenstion cords; all may equipment are the "olden" type, but still top of the line. My neighboor said: Here try my Milwaukee Hackzall, model 2625-20 M18 model with his M12; M18 charger. Within 20 minutes, half-hour with water brakes, (for me) the whole job was done & cleaned out. The saw never stopped. It is light; & comfortrable to use with one hand; and cut thru all the branches, trunks, & palms without any problems. It was a joy to use. I will defintaly keep my eyes open for a sale on both these products to purchase. Thank you for makeing a excellant product.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Squeals Loud, Battery Connection A battle
4 months ago
This charger makes a noticeable squealing/ hissing noise while in use. It is also very difficult for the battery to make a solid connection to the charger. I feel dumb complaining about it but seriously it requires both hands and significant downward force for it to connect enough for it to charge. Getting it back off is another battle itself and is almost a 2 person job. Never had this issue on other Milwaukee chargers I’ve tried.
