Love this Pole Saw
Some things you buy and they just pay off over and over. This is one of those items. I use this more than the other pole tools but the string hedger gets 2nd most use. Yes it leaks a little bit of oil when put down so I put into black garbage bag with towel. I see this as a good thing - better to get more oil than a burned bar and chain. I drain oil after every use and recycle. Also, make sure you clean after each use to remove debris from bar so it oils properly. Adjust tension as needed but this is standard on all pole chainsaws. Online videos on maintenance helps. Really happy with the purchase
Yes, I recommend this product.

Sunday morning trimming!
I've owned it for over a year now and am only reviewing it now because I feel I've used it enough to give an experience based opinion.
These are beasts. I have used the 10" attachment for pruning and lately for getting rid of a broken 14" thick red pine that was up rooted by a recent storm. The 10" saw didn't even flinch! It took care of it all, branches and trunk, what a purchase. Oh, and did I say I did it all a Sunday morning and I bothered no one! That's right, it's quiet. Not hush quiet, but far from a typical gas powered chainsaw. The chainsaw stayed in the garage and the attachment came out!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Hurricane tested
I don't write reviews very often, but this product was well worth it! I used this periodically for routine yard maintenance, but really put it to the test cleaning up after hurricane damage. We had large branches everywhere and several trees down around the neighborhood. I probably should have used a larger chain saw for some of the bigger trunks, but wanted to put the pole saw to the test. I was stunned at how well this worked.
I made it through 3 yards worth of cleanup on a single charge (probably 3 medium sized trees worth).
My only small gripe - the clip holding the harness to the unit keeps popping off. Looks like I've bent the carabiner a little too much.
Overall - definitely worth it!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Cuts great with one little coming problem
3 years ago
This thing is awesome. Used it a lot lately. It cuts great. Gets plenty of power. I love using it, it’s so light compared to the pole saw setup with the Stihl combi system I use in my day job. I was worried it wouldn’t balance great cause I don’t like the weed eater head on this quik lok system for that reason but it’s balanced great. You don’t get overly taxed from manipulating a power head or the attachment side either even with extensions. But the tensioner screw for chain needs more depth for tightening the chain. It almost bottoms out to get the chain right.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Mighty Red Pole Saw
I just had my new Milwaukee Cordless Pole Saw out at my tree farm in Central Wisconsin, 30° F, trimming up a fallen oak branch that had gone down in a storm. The branch was 16"-20" in diameter. and 25-30' long with a lot of branches. With my new saw, I took the tree apart, piece-by-piece so I could finish off the trunk with my large saw with a 20" bar. The 5.0 battery went almost three hours before I had to put another battery on...amazing power from that little red saw!! I then used it for another two hours pruning smaller white oak trees in my tree farm.

Damaged bar
I recently bought the M18 FUEL™ QUIK-LOK™ with all the attachments and one was the 10" Pole Saw Attachment. I used it for about 15 minutes and a branch about 1.5" in diameter which is quite small pinched the bar and bent it badly out of shape to the point that the chain was bound. I am extremely disappointed. I have cut many many trees and have several chainsaws and pole saws and have yet to damage a bar after getting it pinched. For the bar to be damaged so quickly and on such a small branch is unacceptable. I have a lot of milwaukee tools and equipment that I enjoy and rely on it and they do well but this has greatly disappointed me due to low quality. Adding insult to injury, the cheaply made bar (48-09-5001) that I need to replace can't be found for purchase anywhere.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Quality of material
Use this attachment quit about around the farm trimming fence rows with trees. Cutting a limb the other day and the limb started twisting, probably about 2-2 1/2" limb. Started pulling the bar at an angle and within a few seconds it split the, what looks like, aluminum housing that the bar mates up too. Split it top and bottom. Have a lot of Milwaukee stuff being an electrician and didn't expect this low of quality. Not for a lot of use. Great for the neighborhood home.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Broken oil reservoir on a new saw
Really cool little saw but can't believe how terrible the oil tank is. I bought this april last year but never got around to using it till this fall. When i looked at it the oil was drained out all over the saw and the oil reservoir is cracked bad. This has never been dropped or used. I really needed to trim some overgrown branches so threw some oil in while it was leaking and quickly trimmed the tree. But i shouldn't have to buy a reservoir for a new saw.
