It gets the job done.

I like the edger. It feels solid. I've had it for a little over three months and it sets a nice edge with the proper blade. The blade that comes with it is quite thin and wears quickly. But the blade is expected to be quite average. Also, a larger range of depth adjustment would be nice. The wheel lock is fairly positive. It doesn't come loose if tightened down properly. The attachment may be difficult to remove when it's new which is annoying but, it fixes itself after a few times of use. That's probably the biggest knock. Tools are made t be used and broken in so the professional reading this won't mind that at all.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Quality Edger At A Reasonable Price

I purchased this edger attachment because weed eating took more time and control than I wanted to spend trimming my edges. I selected this tool based on YouTube reviews. Edging definitely saved me time and the look was better than I ever achieved by weed eating my drive and curb edges. I have experienced one minor issue that involved the wheel height adjustment. I found that the adjustment would constantly slip, causing me to re-adjust the wheel height. I'm going to add a lock screw to hold the height, hopefully, that will work. Otherwise, I'm happy with this tool and would recommend this edger.

My edger

This is a great lawn care tool!! I used to own Craftsmen tools, gas operated, but recently I had to replace the “motor end” of my tools and I decided to go battery operated. I decided on Milwaukee tools and I’m really glad I did. The whole battery thing is just great, much quieter, just as much power, and actually lighter in weight. The edger is just plane awesome compared to my Craftsmen edger, more accurate, doesn’t clog up as much, and much easier to clean. When I bought these new tools I also bought an extra battery and for my situation I need 1 8.0 battery for the front side of my house and 1 8.0 battery for the back. If I’m trimming and edging, 1 8.0 battery for trimming and 1 8.0 battery for edging. In my back yard I only do trimming.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great addition to the Milwaukee OPE line!

This edger attachment is a great addition to the battery powered motor head and string trimmer attachment. By wrapping all the tools you need in one interchangeable package you can change tools with a twist and the push of a button and keep moving. I was surprised to see there was no guide on the head like most other edger attachments. Even though it lacks this common guide, it still tracks nicely using only the blade. There is a skid plate to protect the gear box. The spline drive shaft connects cleanly to the spline in the power head and seems to provide a smoother feel. No extra vibration is felt in the handles even at high speed. Blade changes are easy with the included wrench and the head takes commonly available replacement blades. Another great design by Milwaukee.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Where’s the GREASE?

Hey all I read and re-read the owners manual.. There was ZERO mention of checking for grease in the gear box..they did not even identify it on their parts break down.. well anyways the bolt that’s on the side of the gearbox you should check that every so often. If it’s brand new STILL double check it could have been made on a Friday or a Monday. When I took the removed the bolt 13mm FYI it looked like somebody shot a dab in the neck of the gear box not all the way down..

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great unit for one direction edging.

Solid construction and great alternative to manual edgers but does have a major drawback. It’s only good in one direction. If you have pillars, immovable objects of are close to a building, you can’t use the edger with the wheel on the hardscape. This can be cumbersome with having to edge against the hardscape rather than riding on it. It also means you’re out of luck if you’re left handed…if you use it on your left side, you’ll get covered in the dirt it throws.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Better than expected

I used this attachment today for the first time. Edging was way overdue, and with my gas edger I would always have to stop ever few yards to clear out a clog. With this attachment, I didn't have to do it once. There were about 4 or 5 times that it hopped up a bit, but it ran so smoothly that all I had to do was just drop it back down and keep going. No clogging at all. Could be something as simple as the flap having a split, but I was grateful to have it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Would I buy again? Maybe….

I use the tool for home use. I am a Milwaukee fan… I have quite a few products. This edger works as described and typical of Milwaukee… well made. But I surprised it does not have a edge guard/guide for a sidewalk. I find it somewhat difficult to keep that perfect straight edge with out it. All the other manufacturers have this feature. I am not sure why they left this out. I probably will not use it that often because of that.

No, I do not recommend this product.
