Robust and sturdy attachment gets the job done
10 months ago
As with most Milwaukee products, the brush cutter attachment is solid and robust and does the job. It has a very sturdy feel to it and the machining is top notch. I am very pleased with how quickly it chews through underbrush and unwanted branches. Also impressed with the size of brush is quickly brings to the ground.
My only complaint was the amount of time it took to assemble the blade shroud onto the head assembly. Only one of the two bolts/nuts provided was long enough to fit so I had to re-machine the opening to allow the nut to more fully counter sink so it was able to reach the thread of the bolt. An hour of my time I will never get back.
But that aside, I highly recommend the attachment.

Great addition to the Quik Lok collection
6 months ago
Great addition to my quik-lok collection. This brush cutter has saved hours of hand cutting brush that pops up in our vineyard rows. This attachment works great on bush. I've cut up to around 1.5" material with a light swinging motion. Doesn't work great on grass but definitely cuts brush as advertised.
The only complaint i have if any is the rate that the blade dulls out. I have to file it at the start of every row (the rows are a quarter mile long so quite a bit of brush) With my use a 12.0 last about 45 minutes.

Excellent product
After a wet winter here in Arizona, the Brittlebush was out of control. Too tough for the string trimmer attachment so I purchased the brush cutter. It worked perfectly cutting all of the brush that was too tough for the string trimmer to handle. A 6 ah battery is perfect for my 81 year old endurance. After an hour it is time for us both to recharge. I had a Ryobi brush cutter years ago but tired of pulling ropes and the constant maintenance required to keep it running. It did have a finger like projection on the front of the head that trapped the brush while the blade ground its way through. No need for the hip brace! The blade showed some rounding of the ends in our rocky soil but stayed sharp. Love that the blade is sharp on both sides giving double the life between sharpening.

I wish it was called the Milwaukee Shuriken.
The Milwaukee Shuriken is disrespectful to your weeds and small trees. It dashes your vegetation enemies to the ground, and brings kanso to your yard. This aids in your pursuit of zen.
It works really well. It is much quieter than the string trimmer attachment. The blade attachment has a clutch action to help prevent damage if you hit a hard object like a cinder block. (An oddly specific reference) you never know what is hiding in the weeds, so be careful. Even with a few knocks into rocks and things the blade showed no damage other than some scrapes to the ends of the blades. It still performed normally. I worked for an hour and a half using an 8ah and a 5ah battery. I probably chopped several 1 ½” saplings. If you really like to put off yard maintenance as long as possible, this is the tool for you. I got mine at Neu’s.

Brush Cutter Attachment
tool is easy to set up and cut with but I am not finding additional blades anywhere but online, which is just a bit troublesome. also would like to know the maximum size it will cut without damaging it. I have tried to cut some sod with the dull blade along the build-up of fences but didn't seem to handle that too well. the battery only seems to give me about 45 minutes where I can get an hour out of the string trimmer.

New and powerful cutter head
I had been debating the articulated hedge trimmer attachment for clearing trails on hunting property and had looked into what I could do to change out the head on my trimmer for a brush cutter. Then I saw the announcement of this unit. So glad I jumped on it. It effectively cleared tall grass, thorn bushes, and saplings. Great addition to the collection even if I only use it a couple of times a year.

The Brush Cutter will eat through anything
a year ago
I bought the brush cutter to cut back large amounts of blackberry bushes on my property and it has absolutely performed beyond expectation. I love that the blade is reversible so you can get your moneys worth out of it, however I'd recommend having an extra on hand in case you accidently cut into metal you didn't realize was there or you hit rocks on uneven terrain while trying to cut.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Amazing brush cutter
This attachment has been an absolute must have for cutting brush. It cuts small trees as well. I have used it around my pine trees, pond, and is amazing at cutting vines away from trees. I will say be careful as it can be unforgiving when getting close to things like lattice going under a porch; before you know it you "nick" it and it cuts right through.
