M18 FUEL 18 V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Hedge Trimmer - Tool Only

It works fine with a 5AH or 6AH battery. I've used it with both batteries that were fully charged and didn't drain either. It isn't overly heavy and it is pretty well balanced. I trimmed about 15' on each side of a driveway and about 20' length of bushes in front of the house on one battery. It cut some that were about 3/4" diameter, but it did not like it. My only real complaint is the cost. I could buy something with more power that has a gas motor for the same amount of money. Milwaukee prices are heading north much too fast in recent years! They have almost gotten me to the point that I might have to start looking in another direction.

Bought this hedge trimmer to use for my landscaping business. I own Stihl and Echo hedge trimmers and this one can be used as an alternative to gas power. Even with a 5amp battery run time is sufficient for big shrub jobs. Has almost as much power as Stihl's biggest trimmer. Benefit is the the noise level is low and the there is exhaust stinking up your clothes. Weight is comparable to gas power. Maybe a little lighter. Only thing I dont like is the safety button you have push down. Its a thumb safety. If it was a palm safety like Stihl and Echo would be a little nicer. Over all I am starting to use battery power over gas for my jobs.

I bought this trimmer after my old corder trimmer died and i borrowed someone elses corded trimmer wouldnt get thw job done. I should have done this sooner! I originally hesitated due to this trimmer being a hair on the heavy side, but i found it to not be an issue after using it. This trimmer cut through everything that my old corded trimmer would struggle with. I used a 9amp battery and was able to trim a dozen or so burning bushes i have that are quite large, and still had more juice left in the battery. Afterwards, i put the same battery into my Milwaukee leaf blower and cleaned up the trimmings. I wish i had done this a ling time ago!

I currently own a greenworks 40v hedge trimmer, and use it weekly on my hedges. Recently I purchased several M18 tools, and was gifted this hedge trimmer. To my surprise its as powerful as my 40v hedge trimmer. Unfortunately I was not able to give the new hedge trimmer a full workout since I just trimmed the hedges with my 40v trimmer. I was impressed by the fit and finish and the overall balance. The safety trigger is cumbersome, and not the best placement when you need to rotate the tool. My 40v trimmer has a rotating handle, wish this had one too! Would've given 5 starts if it had a better safety trigger and a rotating handle.

This hedge trimmer works perfect for the size bushes I have at my house. I also have Milwaukee's articulating trimmer for the Quik Lok system, that works great for the larger bushes I have where I can't reach with this one, but it's awkward to worth with for the smaller ones. This hedge trimmer isn't too heavy and easy to maneuver. I pair with one of the M18 8.0 Ah high output batteries and one of those can easily take care of my yard with plenty of juice left over. It stores nicely as well with a slot on the back of the motor casing where you can easily hang it on the wall. Great product overall, I highly recommend it for homeowners.

I have a number of bushes, shrubs, and annual/perennial plants on our property that need trimming and maintenance throughout the years. Buying the Milwaukee M18 Hedge Trimmer is an upgrade away from my Stihl 2-cycle gas machinery that I've had for a long time. What a please it is to get away from the gas-oil mixing, pulling the starter cord, the fumes, and the noise. I find trimming with my new M18 hedge trimmer very efficient in quality of cut and time it takes. With the M18 9.0Ah battery I have plenty of long-lasting power to get the job done. Thank you Milwaukee for developing quality dependable and long lasting products!

This thing really cuts. I have some thicker bushes that my electric trimmers struggled with so I usually just used hand shears or prunners. I didn't want to mess with gas and all the hassle. I went with this because I already have the blower and string trimmer. It is a little on the heavy side compared to dewalt and makita but it has good quality internals and the battery helps balance it well. As far as cutting, it cut like I was cutting butter. It cut so easy I almost wanted to cut too much off just to keep using it. It had no problem cutting some as big as my finger. I would definitely recommend. Well built tool.

The hedge trimmer seems to have all the power of the gas trimmer i had been using previously. This kind of tool seems ideal to be battery powered. You’re not using it constantly, like you might with a string trimmer, so all the idle time where you’d be wasting gas just extends the effective use time. I had been debating getting the bundle with the 8ah battery, but given i already had a number of 5ah ones, just got the bare tool. With a sub-full 5ah battery, i trimmed all my hedges and had a bit left over for the string trimmer, so i think i made the right choice. No signs of overheating, which was something i had read about in other reviews pre-purchase.
