Acceptable performance, operates and cuts about as well as expected from one of the M18 Fuel line. But the blade clamp design and operation fall far below expectations and the competition. Blade lockup is awkward and uncertain with the crude design employed. Look at Dewalt DCS334B for how it should be done properly. And that's a less expensive saw! Also needing work is the cutline blower. Very weak, and does a very poor job of keeping the cut line clear. Other than that, yes, it's a perfectly acceptable saw, and gets the job done. But I purchased it over the Dewalt only because I am committed to the M18 system and didn't want to spring into another battery system.

Just picked this up the other day to go with my ever growing Milwaukee collection. I have the older brushed m18 jigsaw but trying to cut a straight line with that thing is almost impossible. I have only made one cut with this new fuel one and I'm impressed with the fit , finish and smoothness in power. Very happy with all my fuel products so far. So hoping this jigsaw doesn't disappoint when I need it. Also just picked up the new cordless palm sander the other day and am overall impressed with it too. Thanks for making great gear. Since my changeover to Milwaukee, alot of my coworkers have been converting too.

Awesome saber saw. Very precise with long battery life. I knew it was going to be excellent as I own many other M18 cordless tools and none of them have been short of exceptional. I **highly** recommend this tool if seeking a saber saw -- and without hesitation recommend the Milwaukee M18 cordless tools -- whichever one you may need. I have nothing negative to say about any of them -- and the battery life per charge and actual quality of the battery itself is excellent. Highly recommend and encourage do-it-yourself'ers to purchase this saw and all other M18 Milwaukee tools without hesitation. Thank you.

Cordless is the way to go

It took a little bit to get used to the saw because I've used a competitor's corded barrel handle saw for 20+ years. I really like not having to deal with a cord on this saw! It has plenty of power, it follows the lines with ease, vibration is minimal, and the LED is bright enough to see well. I'm not a fan of the blade cover. It collected fine dust particles even with the blower on, but a coat of wax on it stopped that. The blade cover doesn't stay on the saw when it's in the packout and being drug around rough terrain. Overall, I like the saw, it's well made (except for the blade cover and anti splinter device), and it is a great addition to my collection of cordless tools.

This jigsaw uses the same lithium ion battery that all of the Fuel product line tools use so I only had to buy the "tool only" version without the charger or battery since I already have other Milwaukee tools. I love the spring loaded blade ejection feature! With that, if you break a blade or need to change to a different type of blade, you simply slide a lever and the blade ejects without having to touch the hot blade! There is also an led worklight that shines right down on the work surface when the trigger is pulled. There's also a vacuum/blower attachment to keep the work surface clean. All this combined with a orbital selection switch and brushless motor make this a great tool!

Best jigsaw ever

I have been a dewalt man but im in the midst of converting every tool to milwaukee. Yet again they did not dissappint. let alone the batteries that work in the heat and or cold with zero issue. Last unbelievably long with no let up. This is the best jigsaw i ever owner. Its nice in the hand and it cuts beautifully. I often use the dust collector which was a nice addition and its so smooth with any material it just knows how to cut the specific material. The light is bright which helps beautifully and it swivels its angle easier than any other jigsaw. I love and look forward to usinv this tool like many other of milwaukee fuel tools everytime the project calls for it. Highly recommend.

I already had the M12 jig saw that I used frequently but needed a second one. This time I went for the M18 and it’s a great tool.
Accurate, powerful easy to maneuver around curves. I recommend it if you need accurate cuts.
I own nothing but Milwaukee tools now. I transitioned from having different brands to using all Milwaukee across the line.
You can’t be disappointed when you use the tools and put them to the test. They outperform other brands hands down.
Milwaukee ... if you are listening and have some extra tools just laying around somewhere, send them over!. We will put them to good use.

Well made and easy to use jigsaw

I purchased this jigsaw when I was remodeling stairs in my 1910 home. I had never used power tools before, yet alone a saw, so I was a little concerned about quality and ease of use of tools. I generally rely on assistance from my husband but he is active duty so I was on my own. Looking though his tools their was a theme, Milwaukee. so I went to my local hardware store and purchased the Milwaukee d-handle jigsaw and I was not disappointed. The jigsaw was easy to use, and smooth enough that I could cut with ease. Also, the battery life lasted for the entirety of the project. In the end, I was really impressed with the quality of this jigsaw, and very proud that I could do the project myself.

I have been in the millwork industry since 1974 and have used enough different jigsaws to be able to say that Bosch was the king for my line of work due to it's cutting efficiencies and fine scribing i need from a jigsaw. Enter the Milwaukee 2737.........simply an amazing state of the art cordless machine. Milwaukee has always been the top of the line tooling company, but somehow always lagged behind in the jigsaw arena. Not so now. I simply enjoy working with this saw. Hook up the dust extractor and i can cut indoors without a spec of dust landing on a customers furnishings. Excellent design

Milwaukee is a name I can always trust so when I needed a new cordless jigsaw I didn't think twice about picking this one up and I'm glad I did. It cuts true and and is easy to control. Hell, I've even dropped it a few times and other than bending/ruing the blade, the saw keeps on working. Maybe next time would I rather have picked up the barrel jigsaw? I don't know, maybe I want both? Why not!
I would recommend this tool to a friend or family member.

I’m a contractor who, lately, finds myself doing more and more work at remote cabins (usually on islands), where commercial power is not available. When high draw loads like air compressors for framing nailers, etc. are required, yes then I run a generator. But after accumulating numerous cordless Milwaukee power tools over the years, this is just one more “weapon in my arsenal” that allows me to work without the extra noise of a generator. As for the quality and performance of the tool, all I can say is AWESOME! It was delivered on the time quoted and works flawlessly. Love it.

Milwaukee M18 FUEL D-Handle Jig Saw

I bought this saw several months ago and have been very impressed so far. The trigger responses are fast and smooth, the saw is very comfortable to operate and does not vibrate near as much as other jig saws I have used in the past. The built in dust blower and LED work light also work well and make for an easier time using the tool. This saw has more than enough power to cut thick plywood and leaves a surprisingly straight, smooth, splinter free edge in 1/4" plywood. I would recommend this tool to anyone looking for a good quality jigsaw, I would happily buy this saw again.

I bought this jig saw to replace my 15 year old Bosch corded saw. Overall, I’m happy with it because it has all the same features. I love that it has extra detents for quick angle settings. You can also bypass the detents and set it to any angle. The one thing that may be problematic is the foot of the saw. Most jigsaws have the foot turned in near the blade for extra support. I’ve gotten used to that and sometimes ride my saw on the narrow edge of boards and trim. I can’t do that with the Milwaukee unless I put in the plastic splinter guard. I know that’s not a safe or intended use of the tool, but I’m sure I’m not the only one that does that. Aside from that, this tool is a perfect replacement for my last one.

I frequently use a jigsaw in my trade for various uses such as cutting out holes for duct vents in flooring, walls, ceilings etc. I have only owned a corded jigsaw, but I often found it to be more of an inconvenience than what was worth to string the extension cord through out the job site. That’s if the job site even had access to power at all. I finally decided to opt for a cordless jigsaw and man am I glad I did! It’s an absolute game changer. Not only that but the fuel has just as much if not more power than my corded tool. I’m very pleased and I highly recommend it!

This thing is amazing! Lots of power, like a WHOLE LOTTA power. Way more powerful than the Makita I was using previously and a ton of control with the variable speed trigger. Used it to precision cut out the front of some custom maple cabinets for a farmhouse sink install. Nailed the cut line perfectly, no tearout and no sanding needed. I was told years ago “always buy a bigger tool than you need for the job and it’ll never let you down.” Thank you Milwaukee for yet another tool that is overbuilt and ready for years of service doing anything I can throw at it.

Quality and great battery life

My mother-in-law passed away in Texas. We traveled fro, Georgia. Once there, my father-in-law had a list of stuff that he wanted me to do to his house. All of my yellow tools were back home. I went to the big box store and found this jigsaw. I had heard about the reliability of the batteries and the overall quality. I used it very regularly for over a week. No complaints at all. Now back in Georgia, I am slowly replacing the yellow tools with the Milwaukee M-18 FUEL series. I want to use the tools…not just charge them all of the time. I am impressed.

I replaced my DeWalt jig saw with this. This is the last purchase to upgrade all of my power tools (over the past two years due to high cost) to Old Milwaukee M18 Fuel cordless line. Obviously I like the M19 Fuel line even though not a pro who uses these tools daily on a work site, but I'm a firm believer in having the right tool for the job - and the D-Handle Jig Saw is really efficient - love not having to tend a cord while in critical cutting mode. Customer service will probably edit-out this final note since their "writing guidelines" ask reviewers to refrain from mentioning specific prices paid for products - but this is a pricey tool (like all of the M18 line). The M18 Fuel products are worth the money at the end of the day.

I have had this saw for almost a month and have used on the job and at home. I found it to have great control, as I had to cut into a mcc cabinet door for an HMI touch screen. The size of the square hole was a 8"x12" and in a molded fiber enclosure. It cut with ease and didn't chip or splitter the fiber door while maintaining a straight line. It cut with very little vibration or bounce during the cut allowing for stability and greater concentration while cutting. It is definitely a great addition to my Fuel collection! No regrets getting this tool!

This is an excellent jigsaw, well made, and balanced. Comfortable to hold, the variable speed trigger is smooth and easy to pull. Blade changing is quick and simple, but the blade is held firmly in place, providing for accurate cuts. The non skid shoe fits firmly to the base, even through plunge cuts. Like all Milwaukee cordless tools, you get a lot done between charges. And with a powerful L.E.D light, you can easily see where you are cutting. My only recommendation to be added to this tool, would be a speed set dial, like on the super sawzall.

This saw is a beast. That’s a good thing and a not so good thing. The good is it’s very powerful and eats wood easily. The not so good is it’s quite large and heavy. This makes the tool not as nimble as I would like but it does make the tool smooth to use because of the added weight. I also wished the blade deflection was less with aggressive curve cutting. I think the saw they should model is the Festool Carvex. I also would like the option of the mitre base to cut precise angle cuts like the Carvex has. You can’t go wrong with this saw.

We use this jigsaw constantly for multiple applications. It has never let us down. Changing blades is super easy and quick. The power is amazing, especially when it ramps up speed as needed. Smooth and quick cuts on hard woods, soft woods, acrylic sheeting, and more.
It is solid and the weight feels just right. The blade and action is powerful, but the body is solid enough to not let be pushed around making for better, and more accurate cuts. I love the blower switch on the side that allows you to redirect the airflow to blow dust off your cut line as you move forward.
You can also make angled cuts easily and the dust port attachment works well. Everything about the D-Handle Jig Saw is well done. Highly recommend this product over any of it's competition.

I'm an avid DIY'er who makes extensive use of his tools. I recently changed from mostly Bosch cordless tools to all Milwaukee cordless tools. Having used both brands extensively my opinion is that Milwaukee in general is a massive upgrade from Bosch and the M-18 Jig Saw is a great example. Well balanced, very powerful and extremely easy to use. It is equally capable at fine detailed work or ploughing through lumber like a chain saw. I highly recommend this and all Milwaukee tools and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

This is by far the best jig saw I’ve ever used. I use a jig saw daily in the work I do. I use it for cutting 1/4” plywood and laminate flooring and prefer it over the circular saw. I’ve used many different brand over the last 25 years in my business. This jigsaw is faster that corded jigsaws. I had a Dewalt cordless jigsaw in the past but it was too slow so I switched back to my Bosch corded jigsaw. I got this for Father’s Day and since I’ve switched all my tools to Milwaukee. I’d recommend this product for everyone.

General homeowner work, building several outdoor projects to keep young child active and outside
First thing you notice is the weight and balance, telling you that there’s quality construction and also indicating that there probably aren’t any cuts I’m going to need to make, KD or PT, that this thing can’t handle.
I have many other Milwaukee tools and can’t say enough good things about the brand, and so far this latest addition has only impressed me and made me happy to have decided to replace my old corded one.

To be fair I can’t speak on the longevity since I’ve only used it on one job and I rarely need a jigsaw. The one job I used it for went as expected, very smoothly. Even when I know I will rarely use a tool, I still buy Milwaukee. Sure, others may be a bit more cost effective immediately but when you need a tool to function as it should because you are 100 miles from anywhere to get another, that’s when the bargain tool usually lets you down. The peace of mind alone is worth digging a little deeper in that wallet.

I bought this tool about a year ago, and was ok for the first couple of months. Then the shoe would continue to fall off. Next the blade would pop out, during use. I thought it was just me until my workers had the same issue (we eventually started to over check to assure it was locked in place). The rear lock was the next to go. It would come undone when in use, from the vibrations. We tightened it a few times hoping that would fix the issue. It has a great build and plenty of power. Maybe I just bought a dud.

I'm a sheet metal worker / welder , i got this jig saw to cut 16g hot rolled panels that went on this radius wall. This saw have more than enough power for steel , i was using a 8.0 HO XC battery , it gave the saw decent run time, but if you use the oscillating motion on the saw, it will drain your battery super fast , so be ready with backup batteries .
Only thing i will like to see different is a different material base and anti splintering device like cast aluminum one for steel , i ruin the plastic inserts of the saw with the steel shaving so had to buy more.
The saw is on the heavy side, but not a deal breaker, is easy to control and to see where you cutting.
Overall this is a fantastic saw , well balance and powerful to do different materials. I'm really happy with my buy.

I am very impressed with the D Handle Jigsaw. Its performs very well, the variable speed trigger is convenient for getting into smaller cut areas. The blower feature to keep cut area clean does work i was skeptical about this part. The blade tension selector which allows for controlled straight cuts or ability to cut corners/circles is easily accesible on side and does exactly whats its made for. Overall this tool exceeded my expectations and looks great in my cabinet next to the other m18 tools.

After using all other brands of cordless tools, I have found milwakee are heads above all others. Better built, better battery life, and best design. I make a living with my tools. Iwork them as hard as I work. Milwaukee just last and outperform the others brand on ther market. I work with guys that use ther other brands and they are charging and replacing the batteries all the time. My Milwakeelast the times as long with more power. My money will never again be waisted on any other brand.

Great addition to my lineup

I raised that I needed a jigsaw when I had to fix a dining room chair and had no rest way to scroll cut the new pieces. Since I have quite a few M18 batteries and told this was a no brainer to add.
Quick accurate cuts. Easy blade change. Works with all of my batteries just fine (tried it with my oldest 3 AH first with no issues). Lots of cutting power.
If I had two minor complaints they would be the led light washes out in daylight but then again so do most others. The clear cover pieces on the blades seemed to obscure my cut lines more than they helped so those have been removed. Hasn't impacted my usage in any way.
So far only used a gavel of times and those have all been outside so no contents yet on the dust vacuum put as I haven't used that yet.
Would definitely recommend to anyone.
