Great, but flawed.

Quiet, powerful, easy to clean. Plus, one looks like a ghostbuster!
However, the end attachment system on the tube is terrible. You just sorta jam the attachment on there and after a while it works itself loose. Really, really annoying. I was here double-checking the product photos, thinking maybe I was missing an adapter. Nope. That's how it works. There's some other little short adapter with a spring loaded clip, that doesn't seem to fit anything.
Daft.
Also, the nice big power switch is not convenient while wearing the pack since you always have to reach back and feel around for it, nor is it convenient while the vacuum is sitting on the floor.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Worth it!

Vacuum works well. It is a bit heavy and a bit bulky, but other than that, the design is nice and the straps are nice. It definitely uses batteries up quickly, so I wouldn't recommend using anything smaller than an 8AH battery with it. It is very quiet and has decent suction power. A fantastic upgrade would be the integration of an on/off switch for the handheld portion. Its easy enougg to reach back and turn the switch on, it would just be more convenient to have it at your finger tips on the wand. A trigger like yoy see on a leaf bkower would be super nice, not sure if thats possible or not. Milwaukee, make that happen, then let me trade mine up to the new model! 😂
Yes, I recommend this product.

great for general use but not fine material
4 years ago
the particle separation is poor, and a lot of the reviews are obviously biased as many people I've talked to has the same experience as me. Drywall or cement dust or any other fine material like sanded wood dust will just clog the filter very quickly. It did ok for general drilling and chainsaw dust material but that's about it. I get about 5 minutes of vacuum time before I need to dump the canister as I'm losing suction from a clogged filter. I usually find that about 20% of what was sucked up is in the filter. Ill be trying to get a return on mine as its not good use to me and ill stick with a bag style shop vac.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Expected More but its Satisfactory
I use this vacuum everyday at work. Honestly, I expected more because all my other Milwaukee tools are excellent. I clean the common areas in Apt. Complexs and some office buildings. I would like to see another hose protector/pivot at the top where your hose come out mine tore where it bends at the top after less than 1 month. Ive also worn the wheels on bottom down already. And lastly, it needs some sort of rubber bumper on bottom so when you sat it down it doesnt sound so loud like its going to crack. Otherwise it works decent for a battery powered vacuum but needs the m12 battery when i use it.

How do you get a man to vacuum?
Slap a Milwaukee logo on it, cut the cord, and make it a backpack. I've had this bad boy for all of twelve hours and I've already hooked it up to my M18 Random Orbit Sander, my M18 Miter Saw, and vacuumed my entire house. Twice.
When attached to my M18 tools, it sucks up 90% of the dust/sawdust that's being produced. When vacuuming a house filled with hardwood floors and tile, the giant canister is just what the doctor ordered when you have two shepherds mixes and a husky.
Pros: Quiet, large debris/dirt capacity, feel like one of the Ghostbusters walking around the house.
Cons: No brush attachment, needs a visible battery gauge whilst wearing it (e.g. Every one of my M12 tools), not a wet vac.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Not worth it

This product unfortunately does not stand up to other Milwaukee tools. Next to no suction. The head attachment tools do not provide a good clean. Lots of dust and sawdust left behind. Always has to be used on high or it does not suck anything up. On high the battery only last 12ish minutes. The vacuum needs more power and better battery life. The hose and handle is placed on the right hand side of the vacuum canister therefor making it extremely difficult for a left handed person. There needs to be better attachments such as a brush head. The back pack option is nice and it is quiet but would not recommend for the cost. If you are looking at picking up any dust, fine particle or saw dust, this vacuum won’t work for you.

Good suction, easy, quiet - poor attachments
3 years ago
My workshop is cleaner! Easy to get around into the corners and around equipment. Overall happy, but comes with only a few attachments. Does not have an adapter for common attachments with a 1 3/8" inside diameter. Basically delivered as a single-application tool when it could be so much more. I have jerry-rigged my own adapter, but it's not what I expected and hoped for when I bought this tool. A small piece of plastic designed to interface the dust extractor (31-01-0320) with common attachments would have made this tool a lot more useable out of the box.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Never

For years we have had several Milwaukee products we have been happy with so when it came time to buy a vacuum for our welding shop, we thought this was the obvious choice. We were wrong. Pros: It can be adjusted for a snug and comfortable fit and the cordless feature is convenient. Cons: Even the convenience of being cordless is negated when you consider a fully charged battery only lasted 15 mins. The filter clogged with fine dust after only one use. The suction was moderate and didn’t really cut it for our shop needs. The icing on the cake was when the canister opened while I was removing it from the base. Ugh! I won’t be using it again. It might be fine for a home garage, but I expected something better from Milwaukee.
