M18 FUEL 3/8 Mid-Torque Impact Wrench w/ Friction
3 years ago
M18 FUEL 3/8 Mid-Torque Impact Wrench w/ Friction Ring Bare Tool has multiple settings for torque, so you can get max torque coming off, but reduce it to put back on. This can do 600lbs of bolt breaking torque, this makes it so you don't accidentally break the head off a bolt or tear up your threads. I also like that it has lights that are in line with the socket; you can see fine in even the darkest areas. Feels good in the hand, and the stub nose design makes it easier to get into really tight places. It has a hanger on the side to hang from your belt, but I find with this tool that is mostly un-needed, and can also be removed.

Bad to the bone !!
Milwaukee has changed the game when it comes to hand tools. Impact wrenches, cordless ratchets, drills , I can't remember the last time I used air tools . The 3/8 mid torque is perfect for a lot of the mechanic work I do . The auto feature is a great feature to have . Never over tighten a botl again with this feature. Again Milwaukee has changed the game in hand tools. I own 6 different hand tools from a 1/4 inch ratchet to my big boy 1/2 inch drive fuel impact. All are well Worth the money. Thanks Milwaukee for the future of hand tools. A job well done on all !!!

Very powerful
I have been a mechanic for over 37 years, my toolbox is filled with snap-on tools.
I am now retired and working out of my personal garage. It was time to upgrade a lot of my tools.
I decided to go with the best, started with a Milwaukee 1/2 impact, then 1/2 drill then air compressor
And of course this 3/8 impact gun. The technology today is incredible, the power and quality of Milwaukee products are simply amazing. The costs are great for the product you receive.
Do not want to crush snap-on but Milwaukee is superior in my opinion and the prices are much less.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Best tool i ever purchased- no regrets
Being A Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic here's my opinion about this product.
1. Power wise it's good- no need to use 3/8" or 1/2" air impact for small jobs and saves you the hassle of dragging an air line. Very good on engine disassembly. The only thing is the size- cannot get through tight spaces although a 3 Amp hour slim battery will fix this issue.
2. Save money- I've been a witness of mechanics feeling ripped off by 2 big names Snap and Mac. Price wise and warranty wise, you cannot go wrong purchashing this tool.
That's all
Yes, I recommend this product.

impressive impact
This thing is amazing. So much power in a small package. It's comparable to a 1/2" impact. The guys I work with wanted to try it out and they were impressed as well. I like the different levels of torque/speed you can select. The torque settings go from I'd say "finger tight" right up to "full send ugga duggas".
I think the only think I would like better about it is if the gear/power shift was a physical slide selector instead of a push button. That's just a personal opinion and i've had no issues with it the way it is.

Perfect middle ground!
I work as an automotive technician. For the last 2 years I’ve had the 2554 m12 stubby 3/8”, and the 2767 1/2”. The stubby is an amazing impact for everyday use, very small, and very strong for it’s size. The 2767 is super powerful and will either get the bolt loose or just snap it off. The down fall of both being the m12 just isn’t quite strong enough for certain bolts, like caliper brackets and certain lugnuts. And the 2767 is strong enough for anything but it is just downright very heavy. This impact will split right down the middle. it’s light enough it doesn’t wear you out, but strong enough you don’t have to grab a bigger impact. On top of that you can dial it back enough that it’s delicate enough to run in small fasteners with out breaking them. It truly is a great impact.

Good tool but not what I expected
While this is a good tool it is not what I expected. We do plant / fleet maintenance at a pallet mill. This tool was bought to replace an older 2758-20 3/8" impact. The 2960-20 is the same size as a 1/2" mid torque impact just with a 3/8" anvil. While the torque numbers are impressive its size and weight and the fact that it is identical to the 1/2" that is already owned makes it kinda useless. If I'm going to get one out might as well be the 1/2" drive There is no advantage to in weight or size between the two. The compact 3/8" might have been a better choice or the 12v 3/8" drive but I only have 18v tools. If you are only buying one impact this isn't a bad choice. We work on forklifts to wheel loaders and everything in between. A smaller lighter tool has its place in the arsenal of tools.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A lot of power in a small package!
After much research and comparison, I decided this was the right tool for me. As a DIYer and shade tree mechanic, it does everything I need and more. From driving drywall screws to busting lug nuts it covers it all. This wrench combined with Milwaukees 3/8-1/4 driver adapter (48-03-44-4405) makes transitioning to different jobs a breeze. It has plenty of power compared to my air tools and I haven’t found a fastener yet that I cannot break loose. Thanks Milwaukee. Well worth the purchase.
