The impact I didn’t know I needed
At first I thought this was an odd in between impact - I have the stubby and the big 1/2 impact already . The new generation was more compact so I thought I’d give it a try . It’s actually a very usable size and I find my self using it more and more. I don’t need to tip toe as much when I’m trying to break a bolt free vs the big boy that will shear off bolts … if you are impatient and do dumb stuff Haha
Overall it’s a good size , weight and comfortable in hand . The extra lighting is great too. Once again we’ll done Milwaukee

Crazy Torque
I purchased the M18 Mid-Torque Impact to keep in my vehicle in the event there were any road/trail side repairs required. I find myself constantly grabbing it for shop repairs as most of the fasteners we deal with don't require my M18 High-Torque Impact. The smaller size and lighter weight of the Mid-Torque model make for less fatigue at the end of the day. The tripple LED lights surrounding the anvil completely lights up the target fastener with out annoying shadows. This is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time.

This tool was made for me
I recently purchased the m18 1/2 inch mid torque impact wrench and couldn't be more amazed in how light, versatile, and powerful it is. I use it mainly in automotive to remove or tighten lugs nuts and ect but one of the features that i was eager to try out was the 4th mode where the wrench adjust to the necessary lbs of torque needed to unscrew bolts. I also have the 5.0 xc battery and its great no complains as of it yet and thinking of buying another one as a gift for my dad cause i know he will also love this tool.

Beyond expectations for hobbyist

This is my first battery operated impact tool. I have been skeptical for some reason and thought air tools were the way to go. Well after a bunch of frustrating minutes waiting for my air to refill after two lugnuts, I jumped at this tool. I had to break a several bolts torqued at 185# and it did it with easy. Love the feature to stop turning the fastener when it hits resistance. Perfect to ensure no overtightening. I am a believer and will be adding more tools once my budget can handle the switch

Powerful impact!
I am a former auto tech and still do it as a hobby and for friends. This impact is awesome for lug nuts and big suspension bolts. I also just got the M12 3/8" impact for the normal-sized fasteners. I love not having cords or hoses when working on stuff. I also love that I can grab it and go work on the tractor or over to a friend's house with no worries of access to air.
One problem I have had is both 5.0 ah batteries it came with have slightly melted their plastic just above the battery contacts. Not sure why, but with a brand new tool, I wouldn't think this should happen. It hasn't affected functionality at this point. Not sure it's covered by warranty, but since I bought it in January of this year, I hope so. I knocked off one star because of the battery issue, otherwise awesome tool.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Mid Torque standard
Bought this medium torque impact wrench to replace the first one that we purchased. Produces more than the required torque on 1/2” and 3/4” hardware. The lights on the nose of the wrench are perfect. They helped speed the installation of thousands of bolts on the underside of a large mezzanine we just completed. Used this wrench in conjunction with its larger brother on the same job. The weight difference is substantial between the two.
Great tool that will be our go to impact wrench

Punches above its weight class
I've been using this impact for a few weeks now. Initial impressions:
This is a great general purpose impact. It's small enough to fit in most tight spaces, yet still brings a lot of muscle to break loose stubborn bolts. (I live in the rust belt, so I'm pretty well acquainted with seized fasteners). Feels good in your hand, love the ring of bright LEDs, seems to be built with the same high quality I've come to expect from Milwaukee. We'll see how it holds up as I put more hours on it.

Amazing tool
Bought this to replace my m12 stubby (the stubby is an amazing tool as well) just because I wanted to stick with the m18 platform, only sacrificing 1 inch added to the length of the head to get the extra 400lb of torque was a great choice, enough power to do most of my jobs now and I don’t need to bring out the m18 high torque as often, love that impact as well but the 12amp battery’s make the tools heavy when your running them 8hrs a day. All 3 are great tools, highly recommended.

It's a beast
I was going to buy high impact, but got the mid-torque instead. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint, what a beast. I work repairing forklifts and this mid-torque can handle the use without any issues. It's not as bulky and heavy as the Snap-on version. My coworker decided to get the mid-torque due to the performance of M18 1/2". Hands down Milwaukee's mid-torque kicks butt. Buy it, it will not disappoint. I use it with the M18 6.0 AMP High Output battery.

Great punch in a compact size.
Great amount of power in such a compact form factor. I may have gone a little overboard with a variety of impacts, which all have their own advantages.
If I had to have only one, this would be it. Just a bit bigger than the M12 stubby, but packs a load of power!
I made the mistake of ordering with pin detent, and returned it for the hog ring version. Too bad their pin detent requires a punch or other device to free the socket, vs skme other brands.

Happy with impact so far
I had the high torque 1/2” impact and considered buying a second I’m glad I got this instead. It’s much lighter and more compact but still has enough power that it can handle most projects. I think it is pretty close on its advertised torque and I like the tightening setting where it will just torque the nut to 30 pounds for light assembly work. I would like to get the protective boot for it but think the cost is a little much. Over all I’m pleased.

Another great offering from Milwaukee!
I bought this (on a friend's recommendation) to replace an older Craftsman I had. I already own the "big brother" of this gun and that one is AMAZING! This one is for travel to the race track where lots of tire changes take place. This thing breaks wheel nuts without even breaking a sweat. Smart mode is awesome as it prevents having to worry about over torqueing when putting the nuts back on. I'm sure this will become my "go to" impact gun.

Should have bought this thing a long time ago.

Honestly, I can't believe I didn't buy this gun a long time ago. It's incredible. If there was one gripe, it's that the button to switch from left to turn to right turn is too close to the trigger and it gets pressed by the side of my finger and switches when I don't want it to. But, I can adjust the position of my hand to prevent that, however it's just not natural that way. Besides that, this gun is incredible. Very powerful for it's size.

This thing is amazing If you work in a shop And you know how easy it is to get oily greasy Most products Don’t last Especially with transmission fluid Compared to snap on Milwaukee has the advantage can withstand oil and grease and transmission fluid Compared to the other brand that fails all the time And at fraction of the price, it’s a no-brainer easy to clean and get rid of grease. Just use a little Brake clean Or electrical cleaner

High use medium duty
This is my go-to for taking off wheels. It seems to work better over time as it feels stronger and I can remove a large number of wheels before having to be recharged(normally used with the 6.0ah battery) As long as wheels are torqued to spec. they come off with ease I have had a few cars/trucks give me a hard time and I have to pull out the high torque gun but I prefer using this on a regular basis for it’s light weight/practicality.

I am a professional / avid DIY person. I don't use this tool on industrial equipment, because I work on cars, trucks, and SUVs. I also am a trailer mechanic, which means I keep the tractor trailers in check and fix airbags and anything else. I'm in the agricultural side of otr tractor trailer maintenance. This tool is amazing! I've seen youtube reviewers break loose 650ft lbs of reverse torque with this. I'm happy with my mid torque!!

Great for setting transformers!
When I was on a big job we had to set a bunch of transformers and strut racks into concrete. This required large bolts to drive them in. My buddies and I were using 1/4 in impact converters to drive them and they kept snapping. Picked up this item and it made easy work of the whole process. Even though as an electrician the use of this type of tool is limited it was worth every penny to use this when the time was right.

Powerful
Its the perfect impact, I also have the big milwaukee impact and it is great but think it may be too powerful and bulky for some applications like tire removal. This mid range is just right for changing tires and normal bolt applications, it can get 3/4" bolts (1 1/8" socket) tighter than I can (6' 2" 260pounds) with wrenches. I had a ryobi 1/2" impact and this milwaukee blows it out of the water! No regrets!

Amazing power and lightweight with many features!
Great impact with lots of torque and very lightweight! It’s rips lug nuts off without an issue given you use n impact socket like your supposed to! No regrets on this purchase and would recommend for tire changes and most car repairs jobs. Much lighter than the high torque which is overkill in most situations unless you do a lot of suspension works or crank bolts. Otherwise the mid torque the best model!!

What a beast
Work on cars 6 days a week , usually use my 1/2 high torque on everything and haven’t used my air tools in 2 years haha, but this gun is awesome and takes off about 80% of everything I used the big gun for , so surprised how much punch it has for a tiny 3/8 gun, couldn’t be happier. Same with my arm … not having to carry around the big brother all day . Milwaukee stays killing it with top notch tools.

Love this little impact!

I really like this model so far. Plenty of power to remove lug nuts at 120 ft/lbs and most likely can deal with much more. I REALLY like the fourth mode that removes lugs at full power and puts them back on until they just touch so you can use a torque wrench to finish the job. Also prevents cross-threading which is great. Amazing there's this much power and functionality at this size and weight.

Powerful yet compact

Great Impact Wrench...what 90% of people will use ...other 10 are those that work on commercial duty equipment. I've used on suspension, lugs, calipers and drive train bolts. All worked fine. I went to the junkyard to get a differential and decided to test out on all sorts of vehicles on engine block bolts...wheel axle nuts...everywhere came off with ease. And its the size of a compact tool.

Great all-around impact
I bought this to replace my Gen. 1 mid-torque and it is even better than the first one! It is a little shorter, has much better lighting and makes more torque. I went with the mid-torque because I don’t like how heavy the high torque is for removing lug nuts and such. This impact has no problem with lug nuts and most other fasteners. It gets used every day and I have been very happy with it!

Best Impact in this size!

As I convert all of my tools to Milwaukee I purchased this to replace my older 1/2" impact battery powered tool. This Milwaukee has about double the torque. The few occasions that my old gun could not handle are no match for this Milwaukee unit. As a DIY user, Milwaukee may seem overkill, but I couldn't be happier with their products and they are worth every penny. 10/10 would recommend.

Pit Boss Speed and Accuracy

SHOCKING: With a 5 amp Red battery, the tool ripped through 24 lug nuts on my F 350 (6 lug) rims at "NASCAR" speeds, and back on. I barely tightened them back at around 130 to 140 ft lbs on setting 3. I then put the battery on the charger and it was immediately green. The tool is light weight, highly controllable and precise. I can only assume with a "real" job, I will need a new socket set.

Must Have Tool! Great addition to mobile tool bag
3 years ago
Good power, compact size to get into hard to reach areas, modest weight allows addition to portable tool kits for roadside/trailside repairs as well as junkyard pull-a-part projects. I really like this tool. On the higher price side compared to competition but the slight performance advantage helps to justify buying this vs. another brand. Its only a 4 star based on price point.

Great replacement for air power
This is a great replacement for my air impact gun and has all the power I need. My one dislike is that the switch for direction change is located in a place where my index finger or thumb will push on it during use and stop operation or change direction. I have installed the optional protective boot and that seems to help a little but I still wish it was in a different location.

My friend had been on me for a while to pop the seal and purchase my first Milwaukee tool. That being said I have and I'm not looking back. The 1/2" Mid torque is in the sweet spot between power and size. I liked it so much I was looking for my next Milwaukee purchase within hours of using it to break loose rusty bumper bolts. If you own classic cars you need this tool.

Where have you been all my life?

I should have bought this years ago. I worked on the car replacing the rear shocks. Have done this type of work for many years using breaker bars and various hand wrenches. I used this the other week and it save me so much time. Small enough to fit in the tight wheel well and more than powerful to remove rusty bolts. I now look forward to working on the car next.. lol.
