Compact with an excellent amount of torque.
Compact, light weight and exceptional amount of torque. Perfect for use on vehicles and some heavy equipment, love the design and the tri-led lights. The drive control mode makes tightening or loosening smaller fastener’s easier without the worry of over torquing or spinning off. Mode one offers great control, mode two has good fastening capability while mode three offers exceptional power. When all is said and done it is a great versatile tool not too large nor too small perfect for my line of work as a mechanical maintenance technician …….highly recommended love Milwaukee tools rarely disappointed with their quality and durability.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A perfect size
I have it for more than a year now. i do week-end mechanics on my cars and i have few other milwaukee impact from 1/4 to 1'' and Chicago air impacts but this is the one i use the most. The weight to power ratio made it very handy.
I bought in the past the older high torque 1/2 massive and heavy one (2763) and i feel that this newer mid torque come close in term of unscrewing power without the pain to lift that much weight and clearance space.
i figured out it seem to be more powerfull with newer 6.0/8.0Ah 21700 type battery than 3ah or 5ah older 18650 models. I didn't try a Forge yet but it seem sensible to battery peak power.
Good light weight mid duty impact. Milwaukee always stands behind there product with a very easy warranty process. That is why the majority of cordless tools in our shop are Milwaukee. The only items that keep the tool from getting 5 stars are:
*The location of the serial number. It is always getting damaged and unreadable with wear. Would love to see it as a QR in the battery compartment. (Have seen them do this on some newer tools)
*The fit of the battery seems to wear, creating intermittent power issues. If the battery could seat better in the locked position, I feel it would resolve this issue.
Yes, I recommend this product.

M18 FUEL™ 1/2" Mid-Torque Impact Wrench
I'm the guy who went to automotive mechanic school, worked in the industry for a few years only to realize it wasn't for me. I switch professions by going to the police academy. Nevertheless, I do all the maintenance (PMCS) on my wife's vehicle and mine. At times, friends ask for help on working on their cars, because I still have a passion for tinkering, I willing assist. The M18 FUEL™ makes quick work of stubborn bolts and definitely makes working on cars and other DIY projects a lot easier. Maybe, just maybe if I had these types of tools when I started in the automotive industry, I might of stayed (No, no, I wouldn't). Life is a lot easier when you have the correct tools for the job!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Love it with one little nit pick
I give it four stars instead of five only because the forward/off/reverse switch get's pushed too easily from the off position. When that happens and I have left the battery on the tool in my bag, the trigger gets pushed occasionally which causes the led lights to come on and waste battery power. How many times a day does that happen? God only knows. Both the Milwaukee power wrench and drills I own suffer from this. The business I'm in is fast paced. When I have to dig out the battery and put it on the tool every time I need to use it is a waste of time. Other wise they are good quality tools.

Perfect step up from the 3/8
I previously had the 3/8 high torque M18, and the 1/2 high torque M18, but there were a lot of bolts that fell right above what the 3/8 would loosen reasonably, and then putting the 1/2 on them was problematic for space, or you put the 1/2 on and it was almost too much impact, which isn't normally a concern, but could be for instance on an exhaust manifold where you don't want to just snap the head of the bolt off. Bought the 1/2 mid torque because the local tool guy was having a sale, and I LOVE IT. Perfect step between the 3/8 high torque and the 1/2 high torque. Not a lot bigger than the 3/8 so it doesn't have the issues getting into tight spots the 1/2 has, but a significant step up in power.

Tool + battery alignment issue
Product is very good powerful for the projects i do (auto & diy home improvements ) only complaint was brand new out the box the contact pins on the tool were a little off because of the vibration plate was a little off so attaching the battery was tough but i just moved the contact pins with my finger while sliding on the battery maybe it’s just mine but i’ll keep the battery on the tool longer to see if it’s still gonna be a problem. other then that it’s a great tool. It’s durable, strong, and good size for tight dark spaces … pause . I’d buy this item again.

Great impact wrench
I bought this to be able to take off my mower blades to sharpen them on my Kubota and Scag Zero Turn mowers. It worked like a charm. Very impressive. I have an old air impact hammer that just didn't work if nuts were torqued anywhere above 80 ft lb.
I already owned a Milwaukee drill so I had the charger and the batteries. This made it quite cost-effective. I've never had any trouble with my Milwaukee drill eithet and I have had that for many years. It also works flawlessly. I even saved a little money on that purchased by buying it refurbished.
