Disappointed in quality - faulty battery
I purchased a combo kit with a m18 xc5.0 2020/01. I noticed about a year ago that the battery was no longer charging and would flash green and ready as faulty. I thought nothing could be done. I have been using my cp2.0 since. I have been finding it isn't holding as much a charge any more. My friend recommended to me over Easter, I reach out and see if Milwaukee will stand by their product and workmanship. I am a casual user and almost hardly use the battery. Stored inside my closet at ideal temperatures. The most strenuous thing this is used for is changing tires a few times a year, This is terrible quality. I am very disappointed and hope Milwaukee will stand by the product and send a replacement.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Red tools for life!
We have about three dozen tools, so you can imagine the batteries, I think about thirty. 3s 4s 5s 9s and 12s. But the 5.0 are where it’s at! They have incredible life in the smaller stuff, drills, impacts, saws, and what not. They even do well in the big stuff like the big blower, hammer drills, miter saw, and tower lights. I run 8 5.0s on my truck and charge them about every two weeks! And today I have my first EVER bad battery in 7 years. They take falls from the roof, get used as a hammer, used in the rain snow and heat of summer. They are like a mailman but never go on strike.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I am considering switching to Dewalt tools.

I currently have 2 m18 5.0xc batteries that will not charge (flashing red/green lights) and 2 m12 2.0 batteries that also will not charge. I switched from Ryobi tools to Milwaukee thinking that they would be more reliable. Apparently, that is not the case as the Ryobi batteries experienced similar failures over a similar period of time. The difference is the lower cost of Ryobi batteries. I am unsure how old these Milwaukee batteries are. How can I check this to be sure they are within warranty coverage?

We recommend sending your battery through one of our warranty options, which can be found on the Milwaukee Tool website under the "Support" tab. When going through the eService option it will ask for you to type the battery's serial number which is where you will be able to see if the battery is still under warranty. If you have any questions about the options or process, email our team at social.media@milwaukeetool.com. - The Social Team

I am also having issues with multiple batteries!
I own 3 5.0 batteries, I don't use them allot, yet won't charge, one charges too three LED's, the third is the only one that fully charges.
I have Black & Decker batteries for 20 years, still going strong!
Considering the very high prices Milwaukee charges, they should last longer, and should have a LIFETIME REPLACEMENT WARRANTY!
I'm disabled, confined to a power chair. I can't be dragging cords around, but I can't afford to keep replacing batteries either.
Very Disappointed,
James

The hammer drill drill combo I bought with. It is a great drill The only thing that is terrible is my batteries were charged maybefour times each since I had them and now I have one battery that won’t even charge it shows red green LED flashing simultaneously

Disappointed
I’ve always lived Milwaukee and was excited to upgrade from m12, but I feel that these batteries are lesser quality than I’ve come to know. The run time is disappointing, and the physical quality isn’t there. Less than 6 months and I’ve had 2 batteries separate when pulling them out of the tool. In order to get them fixed or repaired, I have to put out money for yet another battery, or do without for who knows how long.

Works great for the abuse I give it
I’ve been using two of this battery for about 2-3 years now and they are still chugging along. Charges in about 2 hrs or less per battery, lasts all day. I switch them out between my impact, my drill, hammer drill, light, bandsaw, sawzall and radio. No falling apart, no corrosion on the contacts and still lasts as long as day 1. I’ll upgrade to the higher output batteries when these fail.......but they haven’t yet.
