Utterly Disappointed: DOA Battery

My wife recently purchased this CP battery for me after hearing me complain about how my XC battery was feeling heavy after using my brad nailer for a while to hang cedar panels. I had high hopes for this, as the light weight option seemed like a great compromise. Unfortunately, the battery arrived unusable. The status bar just shows a blinking red light and it won't charge at all. After reading these reviews, it seems like a common issue with this CP line, never had an issue with the XC. As a long time Milwuakee user, this is disappointing. The battery is basically a paper weight at this point.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This battery works great for me. It's best in my drill/driver set. I haven't really needed to pay attention to how long they last in it. A full charge lasts about 40 minutes of steady sawing on a pile of small trees and branches. It's a little small for my circular saw, only lasting through a sheet of plywood (5-10 cuts), but I think that's to be expected. Batteries are heavy. I like that I can have efficient, lightweight, small batteries in the tools I'm likely to use one handed and/or in small places.

Awesome Drill, Not So Good Battery

Drill is excellent, not so much the battery. I purchased a drill driver kit that included a battery and charger. In my field of work I use Milwaukee tools and am familiar with them. The tool and charger works great. However after about four months of occasional use, the charger suddenly starts to flash red and green, even after I allow the battery to cool down. Very disappointed in the quality of this product, considering I use these on a daily basis at work.BATTERY CAT. NO. 48-11-1820

I have a older 2.0 battery that is 6 years old for my M18 1/4 driver, I use it all the time, charge it through my vans inverter, after this amount of time it still works great. I recently purchased for my self a 1/4 driver under the special buy I like how much smaller the driver is and my expectations are the 2.0 will do as well as my 6 year old work battery. It might be a bad batch of manufacturing and I’m sure Milwaukee will look into it do right by its loyal and new customers

Possible Maslfunction

Battery was great! After storing it for 3-4 months the battery died completely. Now I get the "THE FLASH OF DEATH". It was stored properly, charged up and undamaged... So what went wrong? Can't find troubleshooting on the website. Now we have to determine if it's eligible and maybe it gets taken care of. It has a 2 year warranty and I'm 14 months in. Hoping for the best but now I'm short a battery.

All the reviews for this battery are awful.

Have the 2892-22CT kit. I'm sure they would be great if the batteries worked. Came with 2 Red Lithium CO2.0 batteries. One has never worked. The other didn't work, worked a few weeks, and now can't use it for more than a few minutes for anything more than a few screws in soft wood. Couldn't counter sink screws into cement board for bathroom tile.

ITS FALLING APART

We have had several drills with this battery pack on them for less than a year. One batter has completely fallen apart and the second one is breaking apart at the seams now. These dills are used in one position, not moving around our facility. I am surprised at this type of quality from Milwaukee products.

Adequate system

i have a drill/driver and impact driver, both brushless, and each came with this battery. i enjoy using these tools for projects in my shop and around the home. i find these batteries to be adequate but i don't spend all day with only one tool in my hand.
