Good vacuum for several years now
I’ve had this vacuum for 5 plus years now. It works well. It can pickup a lot of light and fluffy material with out loosing suction. For its size when picking heavier debris like metal shavings it gets heavy fast especially with the signal handle. The only kind of knock is it is hard on batteries at least 5 and 6 amp. I don’t have any 9’s or 12’s since I have a good supply of 5’s,6’s and a few smaller ones so I’m not rushing for bigger one. Of my 2 older m18’s one is dead and the other is needing more charging. There 7 plus years old and used in an automotive repair shop. The old one isn’t used in the vacuum because it dies very fast
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great little work horse!
This little vacuum has incredible performance. I've compared it side by side to a band new DC500 and it simply out performs it hands down even with a cord plugged in The suction is strong enough to pull dog hair from seats and carpet in a car (competitor could not). Just remember this tool was designed for little jobs and work on battery powered, so don't expect it to run for ever. Perhaps the designers could create a 120Vac to 18Vdc adaptor accessory as an option. All in all, well designed, nice shape (not some weird and hard to pack shape), and great suction. I does what it was designed to do, vacuum. A great tool for any handy person.
ProsEasy To Empty, Easy To Use, Efficient, Lightweight, Powerful/Good Suction
ConsNo Cord Accessory
Yes, I recommend this product.

Don’t get “hosed”
My boss picked one up for the home renovation business and I love how easy it is to use… problem is the hose won’t last. Do not twist, or it will rip ours lasted for about a year and then we duck taped for about another year because my boss is too cheap to buy a replacement hose. A year is not bad for using it in our work setting but I bought one for my home and the whole glass in about six months with pretty minimal use, and well taken care of. I just accidentally twisted it while trying to get the attachment off and it just ripped. If they could fix the durability of the hose, this would be one of my all-time favorite tools do use.

Poorly Engineered
Poorly engineered. If you search around for this you will see honest reviews where the hose has broken. I bought it new vacuumed my car and my travel trailer and the end broke off. It is very difficult to thread it back on and it will not stay on. If you read this review and continue to buy one then you get what you deserve. Mine is not a one-off it is an engineering fault. Poor design will lead to a high failure rate.
I buy Milwaukee cuz I am expecting a higher quality for the higher price. This vacuum is a colossal failure and a let down.
Also note that it is not brushless. But the reason I give it a one is because it broke.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Good product that could be even better.
I bought this product because I thought it was built to click in to Milwaukee Packout stacking toolboxes with high expectations since I have an m12 portable cordless vacuum/ dustbuster that is really strong, well made, and convenient. Once I unboxed the M18, I realized that the bottom was smooth and it does not mate to pack mate products even though it is stackable. A simple change to the debris chamber could make this product even more convenient. There appears to be some available real estate in the on board attachment compartment to hold a brush attachment. I found the vacuum to have very good suction and a nice stretchy hose with good length.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I thought this would be perfect for cleaning up small projects around the garage and yard without having to drag a cord around.
Suction isn't bad (not close to the suction of a corded vacuum). It was able to pick up most of the materials I tried. Unfortunately it plugs up way too easily. It seemed OK with coarse saw dust. Things like a wood chips, shavings, scrap of paper, a dried leaf will plug the hose (The opening where the hose attaches to the canister is smaller than the opening at the other end of the hose), fine dust will plug the filter.
Run time was hard to determine, due to constantly having to unclog it (I'm guessing 5 minutes on a 5aH battery).
No, I do not recommend this product.

Pine Needle No More

A vacuum easy to carry in with the rest of my tools.. Love it . Save a trip to the tool trailer to grab a big oxy vac that will fall apart undoubtedly going up steps. For its size it has great suction and is easy to open, empty and close back up. The faster I can get back to work the better ! One thing I do wish is that it would come with a 5 pack of bags and a filter cover. Not hard to get them but as I got this as a gift I really do not like to use it without bags. So a wait time of a week before I felt comfortable really using this vac. It sure did pick up the remnants of our christmas tree with ease tho ! Happy to have this addition to my packout collection!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Great small vacuum
This vacuum works pretty well. It has good suction and I love how all the attachments, hose, and battery fit in the closed lid. Easy to clean. Very loud. The vacuum died on me once attached to orbital sander with a charge and I had to wait a couple hours until it cooled down and was able to run again. I am really disappointed I can’t get it to connect to my m18 10” miter saw’s dust port. Seems like an oversight- I feel all Milwaukee vacuums should connect to all Milwaukee dust ports, or at least supply adapters. I have to use blue painters tape to get it to hold on the port. All in all it’s a great portable vacuum. Would recommend to anyone needing a job site travel vac.
