The M18 search light can run for up to 4 hours on flood mode and spot/flood mode with an M18 REDLITHIUM XC 5.0 battery pack, and 7 hours on spot mode and 5 hours on strobe mode. I have been wanting this light since I heard my cousin had a Milwaukee light. Well I finally got it . I knew since it is made by Milwaukee it has to be great cause Milwaukee is the best of the best! It’s worth every cent that I paid! It is so bright it amazes me. There are other settings which help me while working on automobiles. I am a mobile mechanic and I now own 7 Milwaukee power tools. This is a definite must have as a part of your Milwaukee collection.

Love this tool! Between the stability, 3 modes, and RELIABILITY, this has been a terrific work partner! So many different ways it has been helpful! Completely Best with 12 Amp Hour Battery. Works well with others. 1.5 AMp hour gets used fast and toples if stood upright. Fine for half hour or so on side. 12 AMp hour can last two full 10 work days being almost constant on without recharge. Have other batteries, this is my experience. Thank you.

Given as a present. This light is so bright and goes far. I live in the country and can see all the way down the long driveway and on each side. Flood light is great when doing work inside and when power went out this one lit the entire living room and kitchen plus most of the hallways. Recommend this and will buy as a present for more friends. This has got to be the most versatile flashlight/workloght that I have ever owned.

Very powerful and great light when it is on. The problem with it is if it is moved slightly or the battery is touched, the light will turn off. Sometimes it will come back on immediately once you are no longer moving it it, and other times it will stay off. Again, it is a great product when the light is functioning properly, but it is a little frustrating when it shuts off without pressing the power button.

This is a really nice flashlight. The handle is generous, pivot stays in the position placed, and even using a 6.0 battery it’s wall balanced. It’s VERY bright! Seriously, i point it up at the ceiling at shoulder height and it lights up a medium sized utility room,to the poin that I’m totally comfortable working on a live breaker panel. It’s the first light I grab when I need one. A home run!

This light works better then expected. Its very versatile and packs away nicely in the truck to go on any job I need it for. Not only do I use it on jobs and around the house, the spot light mode works great when I'm out hunting and looking for a downed deer. The products seems to be of high quality, I'm curious to see how the light will hold up over the next few years.

I am under using this light. We like to take walks in our woods at night. Using a shoulder strap and the light on flood, we can see about 75 feet down the trail and about 25 side to side. Great for hands free. The spot light is intense. Pierces thru the underbrush.
Heads up if you plan on holding this light, it's not exactly lightweight.

Works awesome, got it to keep in the truck as an emergency light and also to keep around the house and camp. Works way better then expected and would %100 recommend for someone looking into purchasing. The spot and flood features work amazing and having the ability to swap over M18 batteries when the light dies is even better.

Far more then what I expected I was so impressed that I went out and bought another one to carry in my personal truck. The adjustable head lets you light up what you need for working and the battery lasts for several projects. Best of all the three different light patterns to choose from for the most optimal performance.

Really Awesome light. It is very bright and handy living in the country it is very dark out here. The dual settings of flood and search are the best allowing for a wide field of vision. Would be nice, to have a wrist strap included, or bigger opening to attach a wrist strap. Also the keyhole on the back for hanging the light relocated or another at the other end so if you do not have a battery it would still hang on a hook. I picked this up specifically for use in my attic space. The flood light setting did a great job illuminating the areas I was working in. It's not too heavy but heavy enough to feel sturdy. The additional beam settings are handy for other spaces and tasks too. Battery life is outstanding.

I received this Search Light (M18) as a gift. It is a fantastic tool/light. I love the several modes and it is a high-quality, substantial product. Lights up my entire yard in one of the modes. I will also use it on my work bench to illuminate a project I am working on. Great light.

If 4.5 was a rating I'd click that.. darn near perfect only if better hanging accs or options. Would bring up to 8 stars if strong magnets were on the back and somehow under the battery, Maybe make batt door enclose(also making it better IP forsure) other than that. Awesome light

This is just a OK light. I have weapon lights that have more throw and almost as much fill with much smaller batteries. It is easy to switch modes on this light and the pivoting head is nice. It appears pretty robust, but it hasn't seen a whole lot of use yet.

If you're on the fence of whether or not to buy, go ahead and buy it. You won't be disappointed. Spot light mode works as advertised, possibly better. Flood light with the pivoting head helps with illuminating your work area when you dont have extra hands.

I like that I can place it in front or next to me when I’m working. Took this with me in a crawl space in an attic and worked on my son’s car very useful and good battery life I’m getting around 4 hours on a 5ah battery

I really like the modes from spot to flood. And the option for both. I also like the way it can stand or lay down very easily. Even has a hole on the handle design for a screw on a wall. Great light to add to the m18
