So good it may last 500 years!

I was watching a show last night set 500 years in the future. They were walking down a coridor and there it was - the M18 dual power task light! "The Expanse, Season 3 Episode 5."
That said, I really like the one I purchased a year ago. As a homeowner it's perfect for use when painting rooms or working on a sump pump. The three light levels are just right to brightly light a room or dim it down for normal work. When not used for work this one sits in the "man cave" and makes a great floor lamp. It came in very handy last winter when we had a couple of power outages. It will light an entire room well and any M18 battery will run it for hours.
Yes, I recommend this product.

They got it right this time.

I have been using Milwaukee tools for around 8 years now. They have come a long way as far as popularity, especially with the DIY’s. But also kept us professionals happy with the fuel line of tools. I bought the first tower light, it’s a good light but half the time I have power accessible so it was a pain keeping batteries for the light as well as several other tools on a job. Now that isn’t a problem with the new dual power tower ..it’s awesome ..it will light a large room if needed or focus a smaller area. 3 settings to choose from. If it charged batteries it would really be a must have for everyone. I’m buying another soon. Wanted a new rover but I’ll wait until they put out the new model.
Yes, I recommend this product.

another epic design fail by milwaukee
Like many other reviewers on here my light quit after a month or so, but I actually saw it stop working. It turns out that the plugs that stick out of the side to connect to a cord are actually just the prongs of a cheap made in China 18v wall adapter that they stuck in a little hollowed out area with two slots for the plugs to go through? What?? With a design like that, there really wasn't any point in having them fix it since it takes very little pressure on the extension cord in just the right direction to break the prongs, which were never designed to use on a jobsite.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Worst tool purchase to date.
I've owned this light for just about 2 years. In that time I have only used it a handful of times. I went to use it on a drywall job and it turned off for apparently no reason after about 10 minutes of use. I checked the 9.0 ah battery and it was still halfway charged, tried using an extension cord and still inop. I easily own close to 50 battery powered Milwaukee tools. I really think they've gotten too big as they genuinely do not support their product. They'll tell you that you need the original receipt or you are out of luck. Lesson learned.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great light
After reading these reviews I guess I got lucky. The AC connection is GREAT and I have never had a problem with it working. Luckily for me I got it as part of a package deal a couple years ago and I would happily get another light. I have a various other smaller Milwaukee lights and they have WORKED GREAT...power outages, painting jobs, carpentry jobs, reno work etc..
The only thing I may do is invest in the 6K lumen version. I have some other lights but I prefer the features off the tower light over a different standup light I have.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Rocket Light Rocks

I have many Milwaukee lighting products, from the search light to a headlamp and they all work awesome. The other day I had a late night service call that was gonna take about 4 hrs outside at midnight. My buddy loaned me his Rocket Light and his 12Ah battery. Wow, never would have guessed it was midnight when I fired that bad boy up. It ran flawlessly the entire time I was working. My hat is off to Milwaukee for yet another great product. Keep up the good work and keep those lines of communication open with us contractors too.
Yes, I recommend this product.

If they fix the issue yes if not NO!!

I own 3 of these lights. My first one about 2 years my second two about 6-8 months. All three have experienced the same issue of turning off randomly on battery power then not turning back on. With either a fresh battery or extension cord. This is the second time all three have done it. The third time so far my two newest ones will not turn back on. It seems to be a problem with these lights.
Milwaukee you should really figure this out. They are a very nice setup when they work, but quit at the most inconvenient times.
