Powerful, and feels precise

The tool is great, powerful and easy to use. I'd give 5 * but, where is the bit holder? When I switch from a Philips bit to a torx, where does the bit go? In my pocket, or I set it down and lose it typically. My old drill motor had a small metal clip included. Just a small thing that would make this piece even better.

2 months of regular use drilling pilot holes in 1/4" steel was enough for this drill to completely die on me. Literally purchased brand new 2 months ago and now its dead in the water. I'm in need of a new drill now and I'm seriously considering going with another brand and biting the cost of a new charger/batteries...

The chuck on the drill went bad after buying it 10 months ago. I probably used it in the 10 months less than a dozen times on very small projects. I switched to Milwaukee from DeWalt because in the past 2 years, Dewalt was making crappy tools using too much plastic. It’s time to switch to Makita.

I bought this drill to replace another brand that didn't survive 4 years of light use. Milwaukee quality is evident immediately, the trigger is smooth and easy to modulate, the large setting collars are easy to set with or without work gloves and the power is ample for me.

I had this model for 3 years now. It's my first drill and I love it. After a short period of time the chuck became wobbly. Since I was working on project I could not return it. After a while I got the chuck replaced. The issue reminaed. Then the tool was replaced by service. The issue was less pronounced but than it came back. Now I was really upset and shipped my tool to Milwaukee for repair. I got back a newer model. I have to say the light alignment is better. The unit is much smaller and great small case. The power is still there. What I love the most is the new multi-speed chuck. I can control the speed of the drill with the triger with awesome acuracy even in 2 speed. Amazing. ------Sadly, the chuck is still wobbly---- Milwaukee I love you and will stay with you a bit longer, (I have many other tools from Milwaukee). BUT PLEASE FIX THE CHUCK. It such an important part of the drill that it needs to stay true and not wobbly. Since this drill has been already updated, I hope the newer model will no longer have that issue.

Gears stripped after 6 months

Product is good but I have had two of these and the gears stripped after 6 months. There is no point having a great tool and short changing the internals. I used this tool drilling anything and everything (cement, steel, wood) on a daily basis.

Very good drill, my only complaint is it is easy to strip the gears if you a drilling and the speed selector switch gets bumped halfway…. Happened on two of my drills, they replaced one, i need to send the other in to be fixed.
