Amazing!

This is an amazing tool! I am restoring an old Ford truck and I needed to cut out a rusty floor pan. I bough this tool because I wanted something that would help me cut straight lines. I also liked the dust accessory shoe which allowed me to adjust the depth of the cut. I thought I would need to go slow as this is battery powered but this thing cut the floor pan like butter. I was literally done in 5min. Much easier for me to use than a regular grinder. I get nice straight lines and the dust shoe helps control sparks/dust very well. It is an excellent tool for my purposes and I think I will prefer using this to a grinder for all of my cutting tasks.

Well worth the price

I bought this to demo tile and it works great with the diamond wheel. The only issue I had was that it didn’t catch as much dust with the vacuum attached as I would have liked, but I think that may have been due to operator error. Once I was done I realized I should have had the tool in reverse rather than forward so the wheel would kick the dust straight toward the vacuum inlet on the dust boot. It’s a great deal for the tool only, as always the batteries are the worst part to buy but I already have several m12 batteries. I used it for a half hour and barely dented an m12 battery, not even an xc one. Very happy with my purchase.

Cutoff tool. Extraordinaire

I have used this tool while doing bodywork on my classic car. I have used it to remove the old quarter panel, Clean up the spot weld areas, make significant adjustments to the quarter panel, and grind down the new spot welds to get ready to finish the quarter panel as well as the filler panel between the trunk and rear window. I have much more to go on the car and I will be using it extensively on the car. It has replaced my air grinder for this process. Much much quieter and much more freedom using the tool. There is no air hose to get in the way or get tangled around your feet. No air compressor running either. So much quieter! Excellent tool.

Exceptional tool with endless opportunities

Being a Milwaukee nut I purchased this tool just because. But since then I have found so many situations where this is the "best tool for the job". I recently clad the interior of my shop with steel panels. Cutting j-track, trimming edges and making pockets for switches and outlets were way easier with the precision cut-off tool. Before owning the Milwaukee 3" Fuel compact cutoff tool, I would have used either a 5" grinder or tin snips. Neither would have been as precise or as easy to use. Furthermore the ability to reverse the cutting direction enhances the accuracy as well as directing the sparks to a safer area. Ya, this one's a keeper for sure!!

Compact and handy tool

Here on our ranch periodically we have something metal that needs cutting; usually rebar, an old t-post, or a bolt and in the past have had to go old school and use a hacksaw or if space permitted a reciprocating saw with a metal blade to do the job. This little cut off tool is a nice solution, with 20,000 RPM speed it easily slices through metal and plastics quickly and efficiently. Know what you are buying, this is NOT a circular saw and is not designed to cut wood, other companies make smaller circular saws for this purpose. The speed is NOT variable and it is a 12V tool so depending on what your needs are it may not be powerful enough for the task.

Fills a niche role

I read all the negative reviews before I bought it and still pulled the trigger on it. Here's why. I am a glazier and was looking for something small, compact and quick to pull out and cut sweeps, notch thresholds and other random pieces of aluminum I deal with daily. I use the 6 ah battery and wouldnt recommend using any other battery. It does cut out at about 1/2 battery life if you push it at all due to the brushless tech. Keep a fresh battery and know its limitations and you will be happy with it. My coworkers love it and we have used it for some random surprising stuff where it performed beyond expectations.

Decent little cutting tool

I used this initially for a personal project that involved cutting sheet metal on my Jeep, and while it cut well, the battery would overheat and the entire tool would just stop till it cooled down. Maybe a larger battery would have been better suited. I only had the 1.5CP battery. But due to this I had to switch over to my standard angle grinder to complete the project in a timely manner For work I've used it to cut PVC pipe and rebar and for that it has been phenomenal. Easy to handle, quick to cut, and the guard can be nice for tile which I've used it for one time. Overall, good tool with the right batteries.

Once again another great tool from my favorite and only go to power tools. This cut off tool packs the power key me tell ya it's a beast. Quick release stop one handed cut great fire what I need it for thanks Milwaukee for making such great power tools don't never stop taking pride in your quality of power tools. So from me and I'm sure anyone that does any type of construction to industrial maintenance or metal fabrication. Hands down Milwaukee is in a league or there on from durability to pure power with the torque these tools that Milwaukee produceses. So to some it all up u have a customer here being me for life
