Good for light duty, but I shouldve waited for M18

I love the auto shutoff and have never had any problems with accuracy. I've been using it for a year(ish) now and it still works great. It does awesome with car tires and smaller but struggles a bit with truck tires even up to lower PSI (35). Its perfect if you need something for filling up the occasional spare car tire or other lighter duty stuff but I wish I'd waited to get the M18 version because of how mediocre it does on truck tires.

The inflator works great for what I need since I live in NYC. 12V inflators are slow & inconvenient since it needs to be plugged in and the pressure has to be checked. This one just gets put on the tire, push a few buttons, and it automatically inflates to the pressure you set it to. I have not had to inflate a tire from flat to full so I cannot say how well it works. But I was able to top off multiple tires without the battery dying.

Easy to use

I first used it to top off all four of my wife's car tires. It was about 10psi in each tire and it did take a little while but with the auto shut off I set it and walked away. Once it shut off I moved it to the next tire. I would have given it 5 stars but the unit was pretty hot after doing 4 tires consecutively so I'm a little concerned with the longevity of the tool. Works great for airing up bikes, balls, pool toys, ect as well

Super convenient. I am constantly needing to pump up my car tires in the winter, and there's either a long line at the gas station or they're equipment doesn't work properly. This has an auto cut off at the pressure you set and you can screw it on and don't have to hold the whole time. It has saved me a lot of headache and stress from my wife. I can also use it when testing DWV plumbing lines, so that's even better

This product works good if you are only topping off tires. I used it to inflate a trailer spare that only had 15 PSI in it & using ta fully charged, extended 4A battery, managed to get it to 45 PSI before the battery died. It would be nice if it had a 12 volt adapter instead of having to keep a 2-3 fully charged batteries to use it. Works really well for ATV & lawn mower tires, not so good for a fully flat tire.

This is an incredible little inflator, set the pressure and walk away. I use this for flat tires on customers vehicles that I can't reach with an air hose. Much easier than filling and carrying an air bubble to the car to fill the flat it is light and easy to use, however it is slow and unless you have multiple batteries one tire might be the limit, but used in accordance with its design it is a wonderful tool.

If your looking for a awesome portable air compressor this is for you! I’ve done anything from lawn mower tires to heavy duty 80 PSI trailer and truck tires. Make sure to have extra batteries and you’ll be fine. It does go through batteries pretty fast. But this little thing will for surely impress you. Kick the old donut compressor to the curb. This thing is way better and takes up a faction of the space!

Great compact sized air pump. Do not try to fill RV tires. My tires say fill to 110 psi, but I usually fill between 100-105. With this pump I blow out the first two that I had trying to go that high even though craftsman pump state it can go higher than that. My other complaint, it is very tough trying to get the battery off to charge. That design could use a little improvement for a little more space

Deceiving

I have it for a while now and it's deceiving. It goes through battery like crazy, can't even finish inflating both tires on a bike, and that's when it doesn't shut down from overheating. The pressure sensor is also lagging. The tire is visibly inflating but the pressure doesn't change on thw screen. However, if I turn it off and on again, the pressure could be as high as 10 psi over the last reading.

Extremely difficult to remove the battery

I have several Milwaukee M18 and M12 tools I've used for many years and absolutely love all of them. With that experience I bought the tire inflator confident that I would love it, too. Overall, it's a very nice tool and does a good job inflating tires and other items. However, it has possibly the WORST design for the battery compartment that I have experienced with any brand of battery powered tools. It is nearly impossible to remove the M12 battery, using only your fingers/hands, once it's inserted into the battery compartment. Where you insert your fingers to pinch the locking tabs and remove the battery there is not enough room to exert any leverage at all. When you have to use locking pliers to create enough force to pinch the tabs and remove the battery something is horribly wrong with the design. Please do something about this horrible design. It ruins an otherwise very nice product.

Great Tool For Mobile Mechanics like myself

This is the most convenient inflator that I have used so far. I do mobile maintenance and repair for cars and this tool is great to top off vehicle tires during oil changes and tire rotations. The auto fill to desired psi is great and it helps get the job done faster. My only concern is long term durability. The unit is compact, fills up tires fast but it overheats quickly with continious use. Also the hose is part of the unit so if it breaks it would be difficult to replace. I would like to suggest Milwaukee to make a more rugged inflator in the m18 line with a bigger compressor and the same features as this inflator with a quick connect coupler for the air hose and a mini flood led integrated into the unit so that it can be used on low light conditions to illuminate the tire you are filling up. Overall great product 4/5 for the overheating issue. Hope to see a similar inflator on the M18 line.

Purchased this in October of 2023 and used it maybe 5 times to air up low tires on our car and truck. I tried to use it last Saturday and something inside just rattles around and it will not inflate anything. I've never had any problems with my other Milwaukee M18 or M12 tools (I have 18), but after reading some other reviews of this inflator maybe it's not designed as well.

Don’t even consider buying this.

Quit working after 2-3 years. Won’t reset. Giving false numbers and won’t inflate. Can’t get it to reset. Only used occasionally for kids sports balls and a few tire top offs. Complete junk. Don’t waste your money. This is not a cheap item for a struggling family like I have. Buy a cheap Ryobi or spend some money and get dewalt. I’m done with Milwaukee junk. I feel I was ripped off.

Great little inflator.

Great little inflator. Simple and easy to use. Love how you can set the pressure and walk away. Only down side is it gets hot and needs to cool down when having to inflate a high pressure tires. Will definitely buy the M18 inflator if they change it to come with an inflate/deflate option for water tubes. Would recommend getting one of these to keep in the vehicle for emergencies.

I bought it for the pneumatic tires on my work cart plus it's great for road trips. Its small and fits anywhere nicely. I've had it for almost 4 years now and still greatly impressed. It gets used about twice a month. It needs a quick release option like on a bycicle pump so I don't lose 7 PSI in the time it takes to spin off the threaded connection for my 10" pnumatic wheels

Difficult (understatement) battery removal!

I agree with several others regarding the difficulty of removing the battery! I used it yesterday (9/20/24) and I have tried several times since to get the battery out to no avail🤬 Close to wanting to just toss it, but other than the battery issue, I really like this little thing! Is there some tip Milwaukee has that they could share with us to make removal easier??

Solid, Compact, Very Usable Air Compressor

Solid portable air compressor, decent volume flow. Have used to inflate large boat fenders, bike tires, motorcycle tires, sports equipment/balls, everyday items. I have the M12 XC 6.0 battery that runs the compressor very well. (Side Note: The M12 3/8 ratchet is fantastic) Suggestions/Complaints: A) The ability to disconnect the air hose from the body of the compressor would be suggested. The air hose cannot be removed without disassembling the compressor body it appears. B) The 'accessory connections' tool storage is an open air 'snap' in for the 3 plastic connections that come with the compressor. These plastic connector threads easily gall or strip. I ordered brass replacements, however, the 'storage' should be a 'box' of sorts that has a lid to close instead of an open face snap in, so that more than 3 connectors can be stored of various sizes securely. Those two items would make this 4.5 stars.

Great compact inflator

Bought this compact inflator for multiple uses. Mainly for inflating my stand up paddle board. The reason for the 4 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ is simply because it noisy and the inflator was heating up while it was building the pressure to only 14 psi. Other than that, really like that the inflator is compact and easy to carry anywhere I desire. I recommend this product.

I woke at a junkyard where my tires constantly get holes in tires I can patch them up and fill them easy on the go. I usually can get all 4 wheels done with no problem. The only issue I have and the reason this isn’t five stars is my air chuck separated slightly from the hose and now leaks air out which renders it useless unless I hold on to the air chuck.

Very impressive little device. Honestly i was expecting mych less when i purchased this item.. was looking for help with air mattresses during camping, lawn mower tire etc.. but this thing will do that and much more. This has become one of my top tools surprisingly. I loved the idea of it when I bought it but had no idea how often I would use it. I use it at work on my vans and at home for my family. THIS IS MY SECOND INFLATER, FIRST CAME UP MISSING OUT OF M SHOP. IT WORKED GREAT, THIS ONE HOW EVER PUMPED 2 TIRES AND NOW IT RUNS BUT DOES NOT PUMP, I HAVE HAD IT LESS THAN 2 MONTHS, IN THE PAST 10 YEARS I HAVE SPENT OVER A $100,00O. I got this inflator to stick in the truck for trailer tires and car/truck tires. It has shown to be way more useful than just that. It also has blown up pool toys and similar because you can actually find those attatchments due to them having a permanent home on the pump! I have used it quite a bit with the 4.0 ah battery and its been great!

I love this inflator. It works great, comes with different tips that have their own storage area, uses all of the m12 batteries I already have, and takes up practically no space in my trunk. The only downside is that the lowest psi it lets you select is 5 and then +1 up from there. I would’ve liked to see if start at 1psi for pool floats.

I bought this inflator a little over a year ago. For about a year, the inflator worked great and filled up all of my tires very quickly. However, now I am unable to set the PSI before filling up the tires. The inflator still works, it's just pretty annoying that I have to keep a constant watch on it to prevent over-inflating the tire.

I found it to read within .5-1 lb of my gauge which is okay. To add a few pounds to all four small truck tires it ran the 2.0 battery down, so now I use a 4.0 with the inflator. I like not being tethered to a cord connected to the cigarette lighter and definitely like how much quieter it is and that it doesn’t travel across the concrete.

It was great when I initially bought it. I used it to fill my utv tires and mower tires. Then I tried to top off a trailer tire. That’s when it died, it will turn on and sound like it was running when connected to a tire but it won’t inflate and feels/sounds like air is leaking out. The only Milwaukee product I’ve been disappointed with

Very disappointing

False temperature alarms render this unit useless. I only use my inflator occasionally to top off vehicle tires. Sometimes it works, but more often the temperature alarm shows up when you first turn it on. There is no fix and the unit is just useless. I rarely even attempt to use it because it is just an exercise in frustration.

When I first got the compressor, it looked and felt like a toy. Well it sure surprised me, it reads tire pressure, can set to the required pressure and you can start it, walk away as it turns off at the set pressure. Compared to other vehicle compressors it well worth the money. Even a better deal when you have other M12 tools.

Great device for car tires!

This great device can inflate car tires rather quickly and properly, too! No need for a tire pressure gauge, as one is built-in, and it shuts itself off, when it reaches your pre-determined air pressure! We love it! It’s so compact, we keep one in our car, for emergencies, along with two 2Ah batteries, all inside the original box!
