Love this little inflator, but......

I have had great luck using this inflator, to to off low tires, with only the small 1.5ah batteries, several times per charge. I imagine one of my 4.0ah batteries would fill a few tires entirely. Love the compactness and the brass Chuck (instead of plastic). The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars? MILWAUKEE... PLEASE MAKE A SIMPLE CIGARETTE LIGHTER 12V PLUG ADAPTER, WITH A 14' CORD, SO YOU CAN POWER THIS FROM YOUR CAR!!!! That would make this inflator so much more versatile, especially if the tool's battery dies. I'm in the process of fabricating a cord like this for myself, out of a cheap knock-off battery housing, to keep in the glove box.

I bought this compact inflator because we have a fleet of cars and often have tire pressure issues. We would always take cars to the local gas station to fill up the cars, but this compact inflator was a game changer for us in terms of saving time which equals saving money. It typically take about 1 1/2 minutes to go from 20 PSI to 35 PSI on an average sedan, and about 3 minutes on a truck. I run the inflator with a 4.0 battery and have never run into a situation where the battery did not have enough juice to finish the job. The inflator comes with different nozzles that store on the back so you can inflate balls or bikes or tires. Great product!!

I purchased this product specifically with the hopes that I could use it to air up my tires after off roading, but alas Milwaukee has finally let me down. It failed to inflate a 33x12.5R15 tire. Using the bigger then supplied 4 amp hour battery and set to 35psi it took 2 minutes 52 seconds to inflat from 0 psi to 15 psi, then with out stopping the unit it only made it 32.5 psi be for the battery died and it shuts off @ 10 minutes and 43 seconds. Even if it had managed to reach 35 psi that would be over 40 minutes to fill 4 LT tires, not the 16 minutes as advertised. It will work ok in a pinch but I'm gonna need a a lot more batteries.

Great pump until it wasn't

Made a great bicycle tire pump until it didn't. Purchased last fall. Used semi-regularly to top up road and mountain bike tires. Used once to inflate a flat tire on the wife's SUV. The pump sat unused most of the spring and summer while I was on the road. Now it runs fine and the electronics all work, but it produces no pressure. If it were a standard bike pump, I'd say it needs new o-rings/seals. I'd tear it down and rebuild it if the part could be found anywhere, but the part doesn't seem to be available. First bad experience I've had with a half-dozen M12 tools. Disappointing given the price point. The cheap 18V Ryobi it replaced lasted way, way, way longer.

I've been less than impressed with this tool over the past month of ownership. When topping up tires the pump gauge jumps up from actual pressure to the selected air pressure in 5 seconds and cuts off without filling the tires (e.g. tire is at 33psi filling to 36psi; gauge reads 33psi and jumps to 36). Pressing the fill button starts the pump again and pressure resets to actual value (33psi) and then jumps back up to the selected pressure (36psi) and cuts off again without filling the tire. I've been able to get the pump to work by increasing the PSI difference by 5 PSI or more but then there is a 50/50 chance the pump will turn off at the newly selected pressure.

This inflator is disappointing

I’ve been through three of these inflator’s even though they’re rated at 120 pounds maximum if there is over 90 pounds in a tire it will not work. Also after about 10 minutes of inflating a tire at 32 pounds the unit overheats and shuts off. I returned it got another one same problem and then finally went with the third one. Same issue I have a trailer tire that’s rated at 110 pounds and it shuts off at 90. I love Milwaukee tools and enjoy everyone that I have but this one here has the quality of a children’s toy.
Hopefully Milwaukee will come out with an 18 V that’s a little bit more powerful that could be used for more than just filling up basketballs and bike tires.

To me, Best of the small inflators

I have purchased and own several small inflators because I have several cars. The most recent purchase is this Milwaukee unit. It is by far the best one I own. Most plug into the cigarette lighter in the car. Those units don’t work nearly as well as the Milwaukee! Also, the other units take a lot longer to get a tire up to recommended tire inflation. I love the fact that the Milwaukee has its own battery and will “top off” several tires before it needs a charge. This is not as good as a garage air compressor. But will suffice in most instances where you need addition air without handling a power cord or driving a car to the unit. So, it will handle most small jobs with ease!

Really wanted to love it

I bought the inflator because I love all of my other Milwaukee tools (M12 and M18) and wanted a reliable inflator in a small package. It worked great to top off three tires but then just stopped inflating. Everything else seems to work correctly but I can stop the air output with my finger. Maybe I purchased a dud, not sure. Again, I love all of my other Milwaukee tools but would caution people considering the purchase of this inflator to understand the capabilities of the tool and compare that to your needs. As you can see in the attached photos the inflator is like new.
