M12 Charger and Portable Power Source - 12 V

The power source was working great the first two times I used it to heat my jacket, and I only ever used this to heat the jacket, nothing else. Plugged a fully charged M12 battery in this evening and nothing. Tried a second battery, same result. Both batteries indicate fully charged when plugged into a tool. The power source is in perfect cosmetic condition, looks like it just came out of the box, it was never abused. As others have noted in their reviews, this power source seems to have zero reliability, which in turn, makes the heated jacket also useless. I wish I had checked these reviews before I put the heated jacket on my Christmas list last year.

This was great the first few times I used it. Which was only for about once a week or so for a month or so and then it just didn't work today when I needed it. It will not turn on and I've tried several batteries that were all fully charged this unit just will not turn on neither the USB port or the 12 volt outlet will not turn on.... the battery indicator status LEDs do not turn on.... Nothing works anymore... I'm used to high quality stuff from Milwaukee and this is a disappointment because so far it is only been used to charge my phone and power up a LED light and all of that has been done inside with it sitting on a table so it in no way has been able to be abused this is a pure disappointment.

Currently I use a m12 sweatshirt for ice fishing and hunting and its been great. So i bought a m12 heavier jacket also was great, wear daily and both are quality in and of themselves but this week suddenly the holder on the sweatshirt was completely unresponsive. Nbd, moved my other one to it, worked fine or so i thought. Was planning to use it and tested it again and it flashed red and nothing works now for any m12 battery holder/charger. Tested many good batteries and also the USB port. Strange this happened so suddenly to both not even under use.

I just bought the M12 tough shell jacket kit. Brand new out of the box followed all the instructions like the manual says and the as soon as we put the battery on the charger it’s flashing red and green. we then put it in the jacket to rule out if it was the battery, it powered the jacket which rules out a bad battery. we tested a different cord, still didn’t work which rules out the given cord. luckily we had a M18 charger with a M12 slot, it proceeded to charge the M12 battery, therefore rules that it is a faulty charging pack that was provided.

I’m a huge Milwaukee fan and love there heated gear, living in Canada and working Construction there nothing better then hitting a button and feeling the relief of warmth hitting your cold and sore muscles. I loved there heated gear so much I currently own 4 heated sweaters and 3 heated jackets to for work and one for play and a heated vest. The last two m12 adapters have died on me and at the worst time possible. The most recent adaptor did not even last a month and the one before that did even work straight out of the box.

Came with a (now discontinued) axis heated jacket. Works perfect to power the jacket with both 2.0 and 2.5Ah batteries. However, extremely glad i purchased a 240V charger as well because the USB charging for this product is unusable. Device overheats showing the Red/Green alternating lights and will not fully charge the batteries. Have tried multiple different USB ports and USB A to Micro USB leads all with the same outcome. Have not tried the USB Output for charging devices so cannot comment on this

I Bought thebheated jacket with the M12 compact charger and power source, plugged the battery into my previously owned M12 charger, plugged into power source and into jacket, and something shorted out. Plugged the charger into a USB charger and had the faulty battery light sequence (red/green) flashing. Thought it might be just that one, returned item to store and got a new one in exchange, same exact thing happened. 2 batteries and power source fresh out of the box, 2 power sources that shorted out and wouldnt work. Severely underwhelmed by this specific product. I loved using Milwaukee tools when i was a carpenter, now as a mailman i have previously owned the heated sweatshirt and loved it so i decided to get the jacket. Milwaukee has never disappointed, until this specific item.

Today I purchased the M12 Heated Toughshell Jacket Kit and made sure to buy an extra CP2.0 battery at the same time. I considered buying a second Compact Charger & Power Supply as well but I am glad I did not. Out of the box the Compact Charger & Power Source was faulty. At first, I thought I might have gotten a bad battery, so I put the other one I bought today on to charge. The Compact Charger & Power Source flashes red/green for both batteries immediately. I was really looking forward to using this heated jacket because I had heard good things about them…so far, off to a very rocky start. ☹️ I am a big fan of Milwaukee Tools and use them all the time. I am quite surprised that this product failed out of the box, since I have found the Milwaukee brand to be very reliable and my go to in the past.
