These 6.0 batteries just go out & Wont charge
2 years ago
I have over $15k in milwaukee tools & batteries. I love all of their products except these dang 6.0 m12 batteries. I don’t use my m12 stuff as often as my m18 but I’m starting to use them more. I have 2 m12 6.0 batteries that just blink red & green & will not charge. I used each battery maybe 8-10 times. I keep them charged up so they don’t die down so far where they can’t be recharged. What gives??
No, I do not recommend this product.

It’s a great tool!
I have been using my M12 tools now for over a year. Only had one battery break but it was my fault. The dealer still replaced my battery for a new one. I have a 1/2” stuby Imp. driver, 3/8 impact, 1/2” drill, a 1/4” ratchet. All work great. MATCO dealer is reliable and supplies great tools. Next tool I get will be the 3/4” impact. Might be costly but if it’s like any of the others, it’s worth it!!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Subpar Batteries

I have three of these batteries. One would not charge, it would flash red/green. I tried another charger and had the same issue. I threw the battery away because i thought there was an issue. But i now have the other two that do not charge as well. These are fairly newer batteries and not worked super hard. Considering the price of them, it is frustrating that they are not better quality.

Try anything but the 6.0
Not to sound like a broken record but I own these and approximately 20 other M12 batteries. Purchased these with the tower light about a year or so ago. They are my only two batteries that will no longer take a charge. RED/GREEN flash on every charger. Huge disappointment. My entire truck is Milwaukee and that’s exactly where these batteries stay now….on the truck and not on the job.

I would avoid this pack.
I bought this pack to run an m12 saw and die grinder, after only a few uses I got the red/green fault lights with this pack. I have 1.5, 2.0 and some m18 packs which are older and used more than this one. I sent it in for warranty but the rest of these reviews have me looking for a different pack I can count on, the smaller packs don't have enough capacity for the saw beyond a few cuts.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Bad 6.0 batteries
I have bough several of these 6.0 amp hour batteries and they are so expensive . I am having a major problem with them throwing a red/green light indicating a battery fault . I really like Milwaukee products as I have never had a problem other than with several 6.0 batteries it’s making me consider switching brands. It has happened to me too many times . I would not recommend buying !

battery explosion
Yesterday I put my battery on charge, the light was green as a full charge then blinked red and green...
(for information, I've been using it for 20 hours since I bought it) so I decided to disconnected it from the charger and suddenly the battery exploded and caught fire
Very dangerous, luckily I had put it on a large stainless steel plate otherwise my house could have burned down.

Battery Is Junk
Received this battery as a gift and haven’t even had a chance to use it. When I place it on the charger, it just flashes red and green repeatedly. I was seriously considering changing over to the Milwaukee brand of cordless power tools but with this being my first and horrible experience, I might think twice. And this decision will greatly depend on the response I get from Milwaukee.

Worst Milwaukee Battery
I had a two pack of these batterys and got to use them a few times over about a 6 month period until both got the red and green lights of death. Terrible and very disheartening that I no longer have the receipt to even get warranty. I love Milwaukee and every tool I own is Milwaukee . The only time the brand has let me down thus far. I wish there was something they would do for me.

6.0 battery longevity not good
Battery didn't last more than a year after purchase. It is now defective when trying to charge. I've only use this 6.0 version a few time on a light and blower. I have the 3.0 and 4.0 without any issues and bought the extra battery 2 pack with higher capacity as an upgrade. I have been seeing more issue with new items and quality seems to be not as reliable as in the past.

I bought a pair of these m12 6.0 thinking they would be great to take on the road, I travel for work installing museum displays and cases etc. I would bring fewer batteries to keep my tool kit lighter, but these stopped taking a charge. The first one was replaced under warranty and then it stopped working so I'm 0 for 3 with these. very disappointed and they cost so much.

Pass on this battery until they release a newer ve
2 years ago
Right now I'm having a real hard time liking my Milwaukee tools. In 8 years I NEVER had a yellow brand battery fail on me! In fact I have passed them on to my younger brother who is still using them.
So what is the problem with Milwaukee tool quality control? For the extremely high prices that they charge I absolutely expect performance to match, and right now that is not my experience. I have over $600 worth of both M12 & M18 batteries that are barely a year old and have failed, 3 of them are this M12 6Ah battery. When I put them on the charger I get the flashing red/green light and nothing I have tried seems to change anything. On top of that the switch quit working on my M18 7¼" circular saw, the switch works intermittently on my 6" grinder, and I an on my 3rd 5" orbital sander because the things quit orbiting and just spin up faster and faster. You can imagine what that does to the finish on my work piece.

I have nearly all the tools available for the 12v system with multiple 1.5&2.0 batteries and never had an issue. Bought an xc6.0 for the die grinder tool and have had nothing but issues. Red and green lights flash when attempting to charge it in multiple chargers that have no issues charging the smaller batteries. Totally disappointed and enraged I wasted the money.

These are faulty batteries!
I have purchased 3 of these Redlithium XC 6.0 batteries within 1 year. Every single battery has failed with a red/green led fault issue while on multiple chargers. The problem with sending these batteries in for eService repair is that Milwaukee will simply assess that they are faulty batteries and will send you another new XC 6.0 Ah battery! I have already sent all 3 of my batteries in for warranty repair, they were replaced with new XC 6.0 Ah batteries AND NOW I AM IN THE PROCESS OF SENDING ONE OF THE NEW REPLACEMENTS BACK AGAIN. That is a total of 4 failed XC 6.0 Ah batteries!!! I am a very light DIY residential user and these batteries are practically brand new. Keep in mind that you will lose your use of a battery for at least 1 full week while Milwaukee “services” your battery and YOU will be inconvenienced with mailing these batteries under DOT standards!!! These batteries are junk! DO NOT BUY THESE BATTERIES!!!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Short-lived M12 Red Lithium XC 6.0 Batteries
3 years ago
I Love my M12 tools. I have several batteries of different AH ratings but both of the M12 Red Lithium XC 6.0 Batteries that I have no longer will take a charge; alternating flashing Red & Green lights. I rotate through the batteries evenly, contacts are clean and shiny. I've only had them 2 -4 years, well out of warranty, but way short of expected live expectancy.

I only own Milwaukee m12 for the lights. Which I imagine to be super light use.
I bought two of these xc 6.0 alittle over a year ago one failed within the first 6 months, I assumed things happen, now the second one is flashing red and green. The 4ah and 2ah I've had for many years with no issues. I like the m12 line up, how ever I don't like these batteries.

I bought this 6.0 less than a year ago and haven’t even used it all that much. Use it for a flashlight, radio and blower around the house. It is extremely difficult to get out of any tool I plug it into and it now flashes red and green when I try to charge it. Seeing all of the other reviews on here proves that this battery is junk!
