Decent headlight for not a lot of money
I use this light primarily for automotive work when I need both hands free. It puts out a decent amount of light on high setting. It is even useable on mid setting. I don't find the low setting all that useful. That said' a few more lumens wouldn't hurt. Other users complain about battery life and they are correct. Alkaline batteries don't tend to last long with this light. I resolved that problem by purchasing rechargeable AAA batteries (1100 mAh). I keep one set in the light and a second set ready to go . When one set is depleted it goes in the charger. I get good run time and don't have to chase alkaline batteries.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Useless for professionals, good for fun.

IP ratings are accurate. Clips for hard hat don't seem to fit all hardhat styles. Adjustable band is comfortable. The LED light output noticeably drops off quite aggressively the longer you leave it on. This problem starts to show after 30 minutes on fresh new batteries, and after maybe 30 seconds after you've used it for about 5-10 hours. This isn't a light for those who work in dark conditions. I buy a headlamp because I need reliable, hands-free illumination and I don't get that.

Spend your money elsewhere
The LEDs stay illuminated very slightly even after the headlamp is powered off via the switch, eventually killing your batteries. The only remedy is to open it up and flip one of the batteries over, breaking the circuit. It is a decent headlamp when functioning properly, however the run time on fresh batteries is subpar. Within a two weeks, the amount of money you will spend on batteries exceeds the cost of the headlamp itself. 0/10 would not recommend this product.

Dim View of This Product.
I'll join the chorus of those who are dissatisfied with this product. I don't recall it auto-dimming like others have described when I first got it but it's doing it now, rendering it pretty much useless as a bright headlamp. Milwaukee I agree, you ought to recall this headlamp and fix the problem. I give it two stars because at least the construction seems robust enough, and I like the strap.

Not my favorite Milwaukee Tool
Long time user of Milwaukee tools of all types. This one just doesn't measure up to the others. Auto Dim is annoying. First push of switch comes on full bright for a few seconds and automatically goes to Medium setting. If I need full bright, I have to press the switch a second time to get back to full bright. Why??

Great brand, poor product
Pro:
Light is as bright as I would need it to be for use a few times a week.
Cons:
Poor battery life
Power button worn out after a couple months, making it difficult to turn on/off
Headband is not ideal for people with smaller heads, like me.
Overall, I was expecting a product with way better quality than this.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Poor Quality! The 2nd one that has broken on me
5 months ago
This is the second one I've bought that has broke, this time within 2 months. I tried to DIY fix it, but with no success. I am not even sure what could be wrong with it. I've always been a Milwaukee-only guy, so hopefully Milwaukee can improve this product soon.

I wouldn’t recommend this headlight for trades
a year ago
Just starting out in the electrical trade and always using a headlamp, and always wanted Milwaukee tools but super expensive, this was a opportunity to rep the company, only used this light a total of 3 days and the batteries have already died.. not impressed!
