lights up, and then turns itself off
My 325L flashlight also exhibits the problem with the faulty switch where it turns itself off after turning it on. This flashlight has never functioned properly since I purchased it. It started off (from day one) acting normal for a few moments, then turned off. It is worser now, as the light flashes only for only one moment. UPDATE: As of today, it can only be used for displaying Morse code, so I guess I'll make sure to have it on me at the exact moment when I'm in desperate need of help from someone else who recognizes Morse code and who's also not too far away to see it. That, or I just can't return it to the store anymore. :(
No, I do not recommend this product.

Wont Stay On Longer Than 3 Sec. Very Disappoint!!
So this is the second flashlight of this model that I have purchased. I thought maybe the first one was just a dud. But both of these being brand new out of the box, shut off about 3 seconds after turning on. I have replaced the batteries in both of the flashlights and it did absolutely nothing for either. This is very disappointing because my entire tool setup is Milwaukee. I have tried everything possible to fix these flashlights but I cannot get them to stay on longer than 3 seconds. Neither are returnable at this point so it looks like I'm stuck with 2 paperweights. Very disappointed in this flashlight. Do not recommend.

Reliable Light, with an Aesthetics-Related Flaw
a year ago
It's a good light- compact, extremely bright for its size, and durable. My only complaint is something I really cannot tolerate as a designer- removing the rear cap for changing batteries makes the red clip rotate, and that rotation immediately scraps off the black paint (paint, not Type III Industrial Hardcoat Anodization) from any part of the body that the clip contacts. Maybe I am overly sensitive to details, but I simply do not understand how this was screwed up to begin with, and especially how it got past the prototype phase. Also, don't get this without a sheath; it should come always include a "free" sheath baked into the price. The paint is easily scraped off, and then the owner looks unprofessional.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Not a reliable light
I really like the color of the light output when it works.. 75% of the time light comes on then switches to what seems like low mode then shuts off, tried several different brands of battery, tightening the ends, smacking it in my had sometimes turns it back to full power but then powers off with in a couple seconds. Not eligible for eService and no service centers within 50 miles, the light is pretty much useless. I have several other Milwaukee tools that work flawlessly but this light has some common flaw as seen by many other reviewers.

Just NO!

Came here to see if others were having the same problem. Well my conclusion..... never should have got this light!! It's like the power connection doesn't actually connect. It will stay on if I don't put the battery cover on straight. (Set it on crooked) otherwise like everyone says push the button and it just flashes. Will definitely not buy another of there lights.
The battery holder does come apart aswell, though when you put it in, it go's back together to be able to work....if it worked.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This thing sucks - same issue as everyone else where the flashlight won’t stay on for a few seconds. I work offshore, so I purchased this flashlight, assuming that since it’s Milwaukee it would hold up and took it with me to work. Now I’m stuck on a ship for a month with a flashlight that doesn’t function and it is VERY frustrating. I’ve tried removing batteries, etc, no results. Really is a shame that you cannot trust a brand name to make something as simple as a working flashlight.

Turns off on its own
Was excited to carry this in my backpack every day because of how versatile it seemed. A few months into owning the light with gentle use, it would automatically shutoff so I figured the batteries were no good but I was wrong. By the looks of it many have had the same issue… not sure why the product isn’t removed from stores at this point. I would’ve expected more from buying from a reputable brand such as Milwaukee and I’m not stuck with a paperweight.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Terrible Buy
Terrible product. I usually never look at reviews when buying tools because I expect quality when buying milwaukee. I used this flashlight rarely and initial tough that the batteries were just going out so I bought the best batteries I could find. The flashlight turns on for about 5 seconds then just turns off on its own. I emailed milwaukee months ago and got nothing back from them.... extremely disappointed
