Worth it if you need a large hole.

I’ve owned a bunch of these Milwaukee hole saws in various sizes over the years and they all seam to just work. Most of my hole boring is done in hard and soft woods, but I’ve also used these in drywall and MDF. I even used one of the diamond variants to cut some holes in tile and that too worked flawless. These do tend to be a bit pricy, but once you have buy it you’ve probably never have to buy another one again. While I haven’t used these in solid metal, I have found they cut through nails in studs with ease. The big takeaway, if Milwaukee’s name is on it, you know it will work as advertised without any issues or defects.

Yes, I recommend this product.

No success...

Used this Hole Dozer straight out of the kit for the first time last night. I had to drill through (wood siding), 7/16" sheathing, and a 2x10' bond to vent a high efficiency furnace. To make a long story short - I was only able to make it through the clapboard siding and the sheathing. (was going to give it 2 stars, but why?) I never made it through the 2 x bond because the saw became so dull that it overheated and prevented me from finishing the job. Very disappointed in this product at this time - a hole saw should be good for multiple cuts into wood - much less thin metal or multi-composition materials. As a professional - my (your) money would be better spent elsewhere.

No, I do not recommend this product.

You will never go wrong buying Milwalkee Tools.

Very easy to set up and use. I used these hole saws to cut holes in wood flooring and for some plumbing work I did and they worked great. They easily chewed through some old 1 inch hardwood flooring with no problem whatsoever! They didn't move or dance all over the place like the competetion, where they started cutting is where they made the hole. Any holesaw will have wood stuck in the tool after use. Stuck wood in a Milwalkee hole saw no problem . The engineers at Milwalkee designed these tools with punch holes in them so that you can take a punch or screwdriver and knock the wood right out.

I did not have success using this product

I used this with a 1/2” Milwaukee 18v drill and it would not turn it at low speed and kept catching and jerking my arm violently at higher speeds. The auxiliary handle on the drill actually broke off and then the drills continued turning nearly broke my wrist when the saw caught in the wood. Milwaukee needs to specify a proper size drill and max speed for using this as a safety precaution. I literally had smoke running out of two smaller drills before switching to the Milwaukee drill. But NONE of them worked with the six inch hole saw in plywood. What a complete disappointment.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Yes you will use and and you will love it

Amazing, 10/10 I’m out here drilling holes in things that don’t even need it. I’m putting holes out the back of my furniture to hide cables and build in wireless charging docks. It cut right through a pvc pipe cleanly and I was able to fit a connection perfectly. No jumping or chipping, sturdy and strong with a clean cut. I had tried a lime green piece of junk tool to install a new pin pad door knob and it was a mess but I got it done with this in under 10min. If you need to drill a hole out of something donut hesitate to get yourself one of these!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Unmatched hole cutter!

I grabbed this Hole Dozer set as part of a reward, but was happy to get my hands on it. My first use of the hole cutters was in the electrical room of a client's house; I was running a circuit for a washer where they had previously had a stacked washer and dryer - and so had the 12/2 run through conduit and was doing quite a unique pull over 2 stories and across the house. In the services closet I was having a problem fishing the line through, and needed to make a new hole. The wall here was unique in that it had 2 layers of wood behind a layer of sheetrock. The hole cutter blew my mind; It ripped through the wall effortlessly! Where there is some marking from the cut, there's virtually no wear or dulling. I'm thoroughly impressed!

An Amazing Money and Time Saver

We are an Unlimited General Contracting Commercial Construction Company and a Licensed Residential Builder as well licensed in South and North Carolina. We use this hole dozer most specifically for Plumbing applications but they also come in handy back in the shop for offsite light gauge sheet metal fabrications. Not only does the hole dozer bore through metal and wood at amazing speeds but the also free up space in our tool boxes taking the place of multiple similar hole saws that seem to wear out much quicker than their expected life spans

Yes, I recommend this product.
