Milwaukee 6-in- 1 combination pliers feature a revolutionary, forged dual head design for wire stripping and needle nose functionality. A unique reaming design is integrated into the pliers head for smoothing out rough edges of metal pipe, and a curved blade design allows for clean cuts through larger wire sizes. These pliers have the capability to cut #6 and #8 bolts and feature a swing lock design for fast one handed operation, and won’t open when stored in a pouch or backpack.

Tried the newer version, same great performance but prefer this one over the newer one as the locking handle feature more one hand operating.

These pliers are great, but they need another version: Eliminate the AWG#18 and 16 stripers ends and add an AWG#6 and slightly bigger curver cutters.
Yes, I recommend this product.

EXCELLENT!!...but 1 thing :/

The good: These are an amazing pair of wire strippers. As a contractor there are times that I have to slap on the electricians pouch for little things here and there. And what I love about this tool and others from the Hand Tool lune is that it really does what they set out to do, eliminate a pouch full of tools. The one tool replaces full sized needle nose pliers, strippers, cutters, and etc. The bad: The ONLY thing that keeps me from giving this product annoying ct a full five stars is, which seems to be a common complaint, is the locking mechanism. I'm sad to say with it being a Milwaukee tool, this part of it was, well, rather cheap. It's mistakenly made of plastic. And like others described, the plastic loosens and the pliers open themselves. Basically the locking mechanism is weak and we'll, sometimes just doesn't work. It isn't that big of a deal to me, it was annoying at first but the rest of the too got me to compromise. Please Milwaukee,
Release a revised version of the tool with the locking problem taken care of. The I am a absolutely proud of owner of many many Milwaukee tools, from the Hand Tools to almost the complete M18 line, including the impressive FUEL tools. Please review!! Still Team Milwaukee!!

This product really intrigued me and demonstrates Milwaukee's innovative designs and promising foray into hand tools for professionals. The integration of a good needle nose and stripper is great. I was especially glad to see the reamer / file placed on the outside of the needle nose. This is something I've waited years for. Unfortunately the file hashes are perpendicular to the needle nose and poorly ream 1/2 and 3/4 EMT. The file hashes should be crossed at an angle like a normal file and possibly finer. The intent of reaming EMT is for a smooth surface to not scar or create friction across wires when pulled. The other more problematic design are the short insulated handles. I know it's marked "do not use on live circuits" and that is not recommended but as professional electricians we do it all the time. And for a professional electrician's tool this needs to be considered with a longer handle (that is otherwise very ergonomic / comfortable) and / or create a raised top near the metal part of tool. Similar design should be part of any linesman. Klein (see Journeyman) and others recognize this. For this risk / reason I can't use your tool for daily wiring because of the short handles and my fingers making contact with metal while manipulating live wires. Stripping up to #8 stranded would also be nice but understand this might make it bulky. It's an otherwise impressive and versatile design that must be limited to wires that are not energized. Which isn't always the case for most electricians no matter what the rules are.
