Aluminum Precision Line Chalk Reel Kit - Blue Chalk - 100'

Purchased as a backup to my Tajima. Low gear ratio is a great idea, but the internals are not capable of delivering the fast rewind. Immediately out of box (and with modest amount of chalk) it simply skips gear when rewinding, and it takes longer to retract the line than many other reels. The plastic body reel does the same thing, but this aluminum reel is significantly worse, and it is very frustrating to use. Skips more often than it catches, and makes it unusable. Good quality line, solid construction, but just not put together properly. I can only imagine how useless this would be in wet weather.

I had high hopes for this chalk line. Ran the line almost all the way out and added a little bit of chalk to pre coat the line. Immediately had trouble reeling in the line and it kept jamming and slipping gears. I pulled the line back out and tried reeling in the line with no tension on it and it got so jammed up i couldn't use it. Ill be returning this and buying a different brand.

Been using the plastic one for years now my co worker got the aluminum so I had to get one my self super disappointed with it used 3 times right out of the box hard to reel in plastic handel pulled off the rivet just not to the standards I am usto with milwaukee tool hope gets fixed in the future

Not sure about the other reviews? I’ve been a roofer for almost 20 years and I’ve used chalk lines ALOT. And have used a lot of different makes and models. This one takes the cake so far for longevity, reel speed and laying down solid lines. It’s definitely my go to.

My Co worker had got one. After a week of helping him snap lines and see the outcome I went and got one right away. The line is different then others and really leaves a nice line. I use black chalk.

Gears strip after a few uses. Not Milwaukee quality that I’m used to.
