I would not purchase this blade for cast iron
a year ago
I tried this specific blade cutting to cut jibbed cast iron sanitary pipe on a project last year and it was by far not anything like they stated. I used the Diablo 9” thick metal blades and it got 5-7 cuts of 4”,3”,2” cast iron pipe I did different sizes to save the long blade and try to use up the whole thing instead of just specific parts of it and the Milwaukee blades failed 100% in my opinion for that particular job. If you’re a plumber u will know what I’m talking about especially if the pipe is fillled with build up. It’s even worse I got a little over one cut on 4” cast iron pipe
No, I do not recommend this product.

A must have if you repair older plumbing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our primary business is rehabbing historic homes and Milwaukee Tools are the only tool brand we buy because they are built to last. Their Sawzall Torch with Nitrius Carbide Blade is no exception. If you need to cut through cast iron waste pipes, tubs or steam heat pipes, this blade gets the job done and lasts through several cuts. Normally I have to replace blades after every pipe I cut, but this one has lasted through three uses already and looks like new, so it has a lot of life left to it. A note of caution, be sure to wear protective face and eye covering and start out on slow speed until you get used to the cutting power. It can have quite a "kick" on high speed and works quickly and precisely as long as you are familiar with using these tougher blades.
Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sawzall Torch with Nitrus Carbide by Milwaukee Tools is a great blade and works very well. My neighbor was removing some cast iron piping and he was having trouble cutting the piping with a blade he was using. After talking to him, I offered to help and I used this Sawzall Tourch blade. It cut through that cast iron piping so easy and made the job go so much smoother and faster. My neighbor and I were amazed at how well it worked! This will definitely be my go to blade in the future when I need to cut cast iron!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Versatile and fast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a landscaper who installs irrigation for lawns & gardens. This Sawzall Torch with Nitrus Carbine is a great help when having to install valves and water spiketts. It made quick work of both the steel water pipes and the pvc pipes I come across and use.
I like the versatility of not having to change blades whenever I change pipe/metal so it saves me time as well as money. I only need one for all my jobs.
Sawzall products have always been great and this just shows me that they're still on top of the game.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Exactly what I needed
I used it to cut insulated metal panels. I cut out openings for a doors and windows after I attach the panels to the structures, but I can't use the metal circular saw because the frame is in the way. I've tried almost every type of "metal" blade on every type of tool. Nothing compares to this. It cut phenomenally and the blade doesn't bend in the foam. It cut so well I started using it on the exterior side to. So much faster than the circular saw and very clean cuts. Im sold
Yes, I recommend this product.

Thickest & longest lasting blade I have used
2 years ago
This blade is impressive, I have used metal blades in the past and they always start out ok and end up dull halfway through the job. This blade has help up well through a number of different metal applications. Another common problem this fixes is the dreaded bent blade. The Torch blade is the thickest one I have used, this requires a little more thought into the length of what you are cutting, but I never had the issue of the blade bending like I have with other blades!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always have projects for my husband to do around the house and some of the times he cannot do them because we didnt have the correct tools well once I seen this sawzall blade I knew we had to have it. We were able to cut through some pesky pipes with ease. The teeth on the blade were incredibly strong and sharp not one issue during use. He even wanted to try to go through some other items in our yard and it worked amazingly. We highly reccomend the Milwaukee tool blades.

Great blade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blade is built strong and for strong work. It is made of heavy metal and is the perfect blade to cut through metal, cast iron pipes, and any kind of metal. I also tried it on wood and it also cuts through wood as well. It makes very good finishes. The blade is of very good quality, sturdy and cuts with precision. I started the cut easy and then increased the speed and it cut very easily and precise. I am very happy with the results and highly recommends it
