Speed Set Epoxy - Translucent Yellow - 25 ml

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have received the LaPage Speed Set epoxy for free in exchange for my honest opinion. In terms of packaging, I feel it could be better. It would be helpful and considerate if they make the plastic clear cover flat (so that users can use it as a place to mix the glue) and include a stir stick to help mix the glue. The instructions were clear. Product had a strong smell. We used it to glue our broken bouldering shoes. After it dries and tried using the fixed shoes, we see that it lasted a bit longer than other glues we used in the past. However, just after one day of bouldering, we can see the glue already starts to flake off.

It took many failed attempts before I got a desired result. The process was very messy and hard did not hold the broken pieces together readily. I had to reapply several times and restart the project. I worked on a glass photo frame that was broken. It was also very hard to clean the surface that the glue was spread on. It also took a very long time to dry. I was disappointed at the lack of speed and time it took for the glue to be dried and hold the piece together. I would highly recommend using gloves when working with this glue.

Mind you - make sure you mix the solution after you squirt it out to ensure it is properly mixed and QUICKLY put it where you need it placed as it sets in the time it says, 5 minutes. After the 24 hours cure time - perfection. Definitely recommended for that fast and easy use!

I really love the mixing nozzle a lot since it saves having to find a disposable surface and something to mix with. The setup was fast, and the glue is advertised as a transparent yellow, but looks almost clear.

I love how it only activates when mixed so this saves me a huge headache of having it harden/dry up before the next use. I definitely recommend this as a quick fix tool ! I used the LePage instant epoxy to glue the pieces back on and then let it sit for a day. I painted them and you can’t even tell where the broken pieces are. I’m so happy I could complete my project.
